I brought my 1978 Chevrolet corvette to Gary's safety center. My first experience, wow was i impressed. I bought the car knowing I was going to have to work on it. It had been parked for the last 4 years. It was pulling to the right. I was told that I needed some front end parts I was told which ones and they had given it the alignment that I was needing. I drove the car home 6 hours from the time I dropped it off. Im very happy with the work, price and the knowledge they expressed in helping me restore my vette. I will certainly return when any of my vehicles need work. This is a old fashioned auto repair shop not many like this around anymore. Very very impressed. Great job Gary's. J.R. Mazure.

Had a hard time finding somewhere to repair a broken leaf spring on my 37 year old motorhome. Arranged to take it here, and couldn't be happier! This is the 2nd time Gary's Safety Center saved me with my motorhome, whenever I have and vehicle repairs this is where I will go! Awesome service!
I brought my 1993 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 to Gary’s because of underivable “ride and handling issues” due to a lift kit installed previously at a different shop, not blaming that shop, I asked for it. Anyway Gary’s was able to remedy the situation and still manage to have enough clearance for the larger tires I had on it. The truck rides better than it ever has and I have owned it 26 years. Truck rides and sets beautifully. Very happy and wanted to give a shout out to Gary’s Safety Center.

This is a great place to go for all your cars safety needs just had brakes and rotors done on front end and new shocks put on the back the guys there are very friendly and experienced with good reasonable prices I was in and out of there in least then 2hrs I highly recommend this place best place in town
I had one tire go bad on my truck and they were honest and told me that the spare I was getting would work fine even though the tread depth was 1/32nd off and told me I didn't need to have them shave the tire.
If you can pay some guys a bunch of money to fix something on your car that you can't see or feel, and still walk away saying that you think they're honest and likeable- then they must be doing something right. 5 Stars!
I’ve been using Gary’s Safety Center for many years. I no longer live in Bay City but any time I need work done on my vehicles I make the drive to them because they are that good and that trustworthy. I can’t say enough good about these guys.
These people are honest, upfront, and extremely dedicated to your cause. Case in point, I took my 2013 Dodge Dart Rallye there recently for an all wheel alignment. On the rear lower control arms of this gem of a vehicle I own, Dodge used aluminum for it's construction. Great for weight reduction but not so much when a steel ringed bushing is pressed into it for the camber adjustment when needed at 111,000 plus miles. The camber bolts and bushings were seized together on both of the rear control arms and thus the rear camber adjustment could not be made with those bushings in place. My rear tires had excessive negative rear camber causing the inside of my rear tires to wear faster than the rest of the tire tread, and therefore would continue to make my tires wear out prematurely. So this problem had to be fixed. But Dodge says that these control arms are not serviceable and when this situation occurs, the whole rear control arm needs to be replaced ($700 each control arm). Nowhere online could I find any information stating that these bushings could be replaced or any possible part numbers for these bushings (I looked for hours and hours). The guys at Gary's were able to find what they believed would be a replacement bushing and suggested obtaining a used control arm from a local junkyard (which they looked up for me online and found for $55). I went to the junkyard, bought the used control arm, ordered the bushings Gary's suggested, and when the bushings I ordered online were delivered a few days later, was able to verify it would fit in my car without the need to remove and replace either of the control arms. $55 well spent because it saved me well over $1,500 in parts and labor going this route versus having the whole rear end torn apart and replacing both control arms for 2 seized bushing/bolts. I have never had any mechanic go so far above and beyond to help save me money in my entire life. You should take your vehicle there when you need service. If you want honest and straight forward mechanics, GO TO GARY'S SAFETY CENTER!
Glad I went here to get my brakes checked. Reasonably priced and quick service. Took the time to show me the pads from my rear brakes and explained the reason for the problem with them. Will use this place again and tell others about your business.

I took my 2000 Town Car in to change the rear air ride suspension over to coil springs. The Guy's were great and so was their work and price. Highly recommend.

Dan did a great job of turning my wife's Elantra into a safe car to drive. The rear axle was was bent from the factory (and the dealer wouldn't help). Dan was able to straighten it out and make the car safe to drive in the snow and ice! Great service on a really tough problem!
