I went to get my transmission fluid changed and they installed it incorrectly, causing the car's transmission to grind. According to the owner, it was due to wear and tear. I went to the Toyota dealership and they fixed the botched job they did (they left it installed incorrectly and the fasteners were loose).
I be have used them twice for car repairs. Both times the were very thorough and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend them for a car repairs.
I had a horrible experience would give zero stars but Google won't let me. Jose was paid $3,800 to put a fly wheel in my truck and some brake work. He installed a new clutch since he was putting a fly wheel in. The clutch fork was installed incorrectly with missing parts that later fell in between my engine and trans causing a lot of damage when I came to his shop the following Monday I explained to him that I'm mechanicly encline so how he would normally tell a customer this was not a part of his doing because they don't know what there looking at. That wasn't going to work for me . I explained I did the same job six months pryer and had no problems when I was finished I actually drove on my work for six months let him do the same job and his mechanics crewed it up Jose when money and damages to your vehicle is involved will have no part in correcting the issue if it's gonna cost him even if it was his mistake he will just call the police on you and say your trespassing to get rid of you which was exactly what he did to me take my word on it you don't want a mechanic that makes your expenses worse than what they were I know other mechanic that would have respected me as a person and my option and went back over there work even if it cost him them and give you all your money back while waiting my advise before using this shop take a current look at how many times capital transmissions has been sued for damaging peoples vehicles and not willing to fix or give money back there's better places out there that actually care about the company name and that they do good business a learned lesson my $3800 gone he not willing to give it back and the damages are more sever now than when i brought him the truck
They took my timing chain out my car to do a diagnostic which was 250 was told 200 at first then try to charge another 150 to put it back in, customer service doesn’t exist, they try to get over on women and by far the worst shop I ever been too!
This people are professional criminal people needs to avoid doing business with them. i sold them bunch of used auto part which they used to fix their customer vehicle and they refused to pay me.

This is by far one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had. I wanted to give zero stars but google doesn’t allow it lol. I came to get work done on my vehicle and the work was improperly done by one of his mechanics. He told me to come back initially to have the issue resolved but kept pushing the date back because the mechanic who did the work “was not there”. Upon my arrival Jose, was disrespectful, arrogant, and repeatedly spoke over me as I asked for clarification as to why there was suddenly a fee being asked for on the work that was improperly done the first time. After I asked him to be professional and allow me to speak as I had paid him $600 for the service, he LEFT the room as we were speaking. At first I was confused because I couldn’t believe the disrespect and level of unprofessionalism I was receiving. After I asked the woman at the front desk If he would be returning to continue the conversation and she said, to go around and talk to him. I do and he calls the police!! On a young, non threatening black woman and says we are trespassing. They arrive and he starts lying and saying the work was done a month ago, and I stated it was due to him pushing back the dates and he also kept parts that didn’t fit on my vehicle and stated that he got rid of them which on my receipt it says NOT to do. Be mindful that we were TOLD to come back on this particular day and for him to call the police was comical. He is not a good business man or mechanic and I wouldn’t recommend him. Taking this to the attorney general’s office and hopefully I’m able to get a refund on the work he has done and potentially get the business looked at on a larger scale because it’s very shady, fraudulent business dealings going on at this shop and no one is accountable. Attached are photos and in one of the pics he’s seen smirking and taking pictures of me after I started recording the whole exchange. A childish man can’t be a business owner.
I was scammed. The heartache this shop caused me still doesn't sit right with me to this day. All I can do is pray for these people, forgive them and continue to move forward. God bless everyone involved.
Just went there to drop someone there to pickup a car. In the interim of watching the staff; they seem like caring people. They made I was able to get out and turn around when I needed to leave.
Had a terrible experience. First, I put my car in their shop originally because a friend of mine worked there and told me personally José scams the insurance so I wouldn’t have to pay deductible. I Put the car in shop November didn’t get my car back til middle of January still with problems. The body work was good, can’t complain. On the other hand, my windshield was not installed properly which causes a whistle sound once over 50mph , my back passenger window does not roll down, also the frame for window was still damaged. When I bought to Jose’s attention he said they sent the wrong part for the window frame and he will call me when it arrives which he never did and LIED to the insurance saying he called me because he “sent it back”. Finally, he was able to fix window frame and was supposed to fix problem with window not rolling down and windshield. He lied to my insurance said he ordered the motor for window, which I don’t think he did because even after he supposedly put it on still never rolled down and windshield still whistles as well. By this time it was already March 2023. I had already dropped my car off several times to be told he ordered the wrong part or the part was damaged. I was over it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP. WHATSOEVER PLZ GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
In my experience from 2011, they claimed to fix one thing but ended up breaking something else and then tried to charge me for their mistake. It's really frustrating and not worth the hassle. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs. (2006 Mazda3)
This place was recommended by a good friend of mine. I had an oil leak in my 2011 Chevy Suburban LT 1500. I called ahead and talked to Jose'. Very friendly, calm tone and was confident he could help me with my issue. Made an appointment on the spot with Jose'. Carlos then took care of me once I arrived. He explained in detail all that was needed and even recommended other items of concern. My vehicle was ready in the agreed upon time and no more leaks. This is a specialty automotive repair shop specializes in repair and service transmission. However it also do all other services and maintenance on cars and trucks as well. The owner, Mr. Jose is very friendly and their rate is reasonable. I would recommend this facility.
Had a run in with a yellow pole. They did a fantastic job on the paint repair. Matched perfectly. They cleaned the interior of our car also. Thank you Jose and all the employees at Capital Transmission. You guys went above and beyond our expectations.
First and Foremost there customer service is nonexistent. I had been in an accident on September 1st in Maryland and I live in the state of Virginia. Of course I could have towed my car back to my state of residence but I thought to myself it wouldn't be worth risking towing from another state. So I decided to look for some few body shops in the area with descent star ratings. I came across Capital Transmission Inc, and oh my god this was the worst mistake I have ever made. My Mercedes Benz almost took close to a month to finish being repaired, and the worst part was I had received zero updates throughout the whole process. Jose is an absolute thief and a liar when it comes towards parts being ordered. My front bumper was not even OEM! Yet he tells me "It's from the factory sir". As a previous review had mentioned "They love to keep your car for as long as possible" which is 100% true. The decals they had put on my car didn't even match up with the OEM ones that were already on. Thankfully my insurance (Progressive) had all this under control so I didn't have to worry about Jose charging me additional for other stuff. I still had to take my vehicle to another body shop in my area which I fully trust and know for a fact that there work of quality is top notch, as well as there customer service. I had previously written a review for this body shop while my car was still being repaired, but Jose had called me and told me to delete the review as it was going to hurt his "business" and he had promised everything was going to be in "pre accident condition" which was the biggest lie I have ever heard. So I beg you all to stay AWAY! from this shop at all costs!
They don't return phone calls, they don't tell you what is going on with you car, they change what is on the bill which continues to go up, after they tell you they are giving you a discount, they give you a loaner with lights on, like check engine, , they want you to pay on the bill before car is done.,they have had my car over a month, , they charge 1 hour of labor for replacement of the coil????, What else can I say, how can I get my car back and my Money? Can anyone help? Now 2 months for car they double my bill had to pay it to get car, wish I could post the video of the day
Attention!!!!!!! Please read!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS MECHANIC SHOP!!! Unprofessional, terrible customer service and overall sloppy performance. Had my car in the shop for two weeks and still had to find another shop. Jose n his crew will trump unnecessary charges and hidden fees without informing you. Had one initial problem that turned out to be several due to incompetence. They are Not honest up front and will keep your Car as long as you allow them to. If you are in a desperate situation I still advise you to look somewhere else . I’m a honest and reasonable individual so this post is not just because of my shitshow experience with them but also because I witnessed other customers at the time I was there experiencing the same crappy service I was getting ( overheard someone saying his car was in there shop for a whole month🤦🏿♀️) This company scams people n I reported them to BBB. AGAIN I ADVISE ALL TO TAKE FULL PRECAUTIONS WITH THIS PLACE. Hope this helps someone

Jose and his team did a fantastic job on my transmission for my Cadillac DTS 08. The entire unit had to replaced and was done within 3 days. Everything went perfect. Thanx again!

If I could put a - minus this shop would get it! They absolutely do the bait and switch tactic. They verbally quote you on a price, then later tell you a totally different price. This shop, is horrible, please I beg you to stay FAR AWAY from this shop. The quality of work is a grade "D" and they had possession of my car a very long time. In the end, I paid for crappy work and still had to take my vehicle to another shop for repairs.
I have been pleased in the past with the service. However, I brought my car there because it was leaking coolant. I was told it wa sthe water pump. I had that replaced for $500. But apparently it was faulty from the beginning or was not installed properly because I wound up with the same problem and paying an additional $500 for the repair. The dealer is a lot of thing but at least I know I have a warranty there when it comes to repairs.
Thanks Jose and your guys for helping me out during a tuff time. I really appreciate the effort and consideration. Hard work and excellent customer service at great value is what will allow your business to continue to grow and thrive.
