Overall, positive experience. Auto Stop Elite has serviced my car three times now – breaks and starter replacements, and wheel realignment. The location is convenient, has good business hours, never had issue getting appointment, facility is modern and very clean, and staff is very professional and friendly.
I noticed some reviews complaining how expensive they are. I will be honest, they are not the cheapest, as I have done price comparisons with other independent auto shops with dealership service departments. However, what sets them apart is that they are thorough and hire seasoned and skilled technicians who do the job right – the first time. Two examples: During my very first visit, I really appreciated that Mina took the time to look up the history of my vehicle, which avoided unnecessary service quoted by the car dealership and saved me a lot of money. Just recently, I had a wheel alignment done at the dealership and my car just didn’t feel right. I brought into Auto Stop Elite and now my car is driving straight again.
One suggestion and one gripe. Suggestion: Please have automated appointment reminders for your customers (via email and text). I made an appointment while at work and put it on my calendar as I was on the call. However, as I am about to take my car in, I get a text asking if I am still able to make my appointment. Puzzled, upon arrival, I said the appointment was at X time, but they calmly said no, it was X time, but they would still take me. I didn’t want to debate it, but when I went back to work to double check, I had the correct time. I am quite OCD when it comes to remembering appointment times, especially when I just made it a few hours ago and wrote it down.
Okay, so if I have one gripe, it is this. I referred my husband to them who only got an oil change. Just yesterday, he gets a $100 coupon in the mail for any service over $100. My repairs stated above is WAY MORE than an oil change and I got nuttin’. C’mon now Ben. Where is the love? 😊
They really helped me out getting my muffler back attached, thought I was going to have to replace my whole thing with the catalytic converter and all, got it situated without needing a replacement and saved me a ton of money. Worked out great
Excellent service. They know what they're doing. But after reviewing parts online and using chatgpt to find proper repair rates and hour needed for oil pan change and engine mounts, I may have overpaid by $1k. I had to use them as I had no option as oil was leaking bad and engine was making noise and couldn't wait another week to find competitors. Will use someone else for other issues they identifies

Glad we have chatgpt to fact check in real time. Again appreciate you for service. But any good shop can provide excellent service and warranty too.
1) High-end aftermarket brands like Lemförder or Corteco are often the actual manufacturers of Audi's parts. Buying these without the "Audi" logo can save 30–60% while providing the exact same quality. If they used this to justify a $510 charge for mounts that MSRP for roughly $376 total, they are applying a significant markup on top of an already premium part.
2) Even for Sterling, a labor charge of $994 for engine mounts is nearly double the national average labor cost of $267–$392.
3) oil change:
Your Bill: They charged you $88.21 for a 5QT jug that retails for $27–$38.
The Markup: This is roughly a 130% to 220% markup. Even for a high-end shop in Northern Virginia, this is considered an aggressive "premium" price.
4) Audi oil change is often around $130–$150. By charging you nearly $190, this shop effectively charged you dealership prices (or higher) under the guise of being an independent specialist.
Summary: The shop is likely telling the truth that they provide high-quality parts, specialized service, and a long warranty. However, they are likely omitting that they are charging you a "convenience and peace-of-mind tax" of nearly $1,000 on top of the actual market value of the work.
I would really like you to convince me I was not overcharged by $1k compared to other excellent repair shops. Lastly, a 3 star review in my opinion isn't low. its the right balance between excellent service and overpaying.
Mazda 5 minivan needed some deferred maintenance. All brakes (pads and rotors), 4 new tires, alignment, transmission flush, oil change, serpentine belt, and safety inspection. We had been delayed these services a bit because my family was debating whether we wanted to get a new car. In the end, we decided to keep our 2015 model and went ahead with these wear and tear items. Auto Stop Elite was able to get all of the items done in one day and done correctly. They had good communication and even stayed a bit late to finish the car so we wouldn’t have to come back another day. I did find their prices a smidge higher than some other shops, but I think that you are paying for their ability to provide comprehensive services. Overall, a good service and good shop!
I am so grateful for Auto Stop. I was in a bad situation where my daughter needed help with her car. It was near closing time, But Mark was able to squeeze her into the schedule and get her back on the road. Mark and team saves the day! Thank you!
Overpriced but I respect the culture here. Was quoted for $1400 for just my rear brakes and rotors. Not sure if it was normal for my size truck. (2nd Gen colorado) or because my truck looks like a show truck. Charged me $20 bucks to throw it on the lift and inspect it. (Which I am grateful for) overall, they seem like they do great work for a premium price. If I had that kind of money I'd come here.
This shop did good work for me and did it quick had a tensioner pulley go out on me while working on the road far away from where I live, I limped my truck to their shop and they had her all fixed up in about 4 hours, I greatly appreciate there customer service, Ben was the guy I spoke to there and he was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the situation and ways to prevent this from happening in the future. Thank you Ben and the tech that worked on my truck!!

This was my first visit to Auto Stop Elite, Sterling, VA facility, though ... based on fliers I received from them in the past ... I had intended to visit to see what they were all about. I was very impressed with what I saw and experienced! These folks aim to please! They ran my vehicle through a COMPREHENSIVE "first look" process. Then I was given a full choice, item/item, of what was discovered (accompanied by pictures). My vehicle was older, but loved, and I want to keep it in the best shape possible (being retired, and seeing the cost of not only new, but used cars, I'm sticking with the tried/true). I liked the way the possibilities were presented; at no time did I feel pressure to do anything. The Service Manager of our local facility, Jason Bazensky, gave solid advice, and I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish with confidence. Do I recommend this facility? You bet! Happy to be yet another new customer!
Came in with some brake issues one morning and was met by a welcoming staff and was explained clearly what they plan to perform and the time it would take. Then they gave me an estimate and was able to get my car back the same day! Glad to have come here.
Asked them to give me a quick double check on an issue found in a pre-purchase inspection. They quickly and efficiently helped me understand everything that was going on, and didn't charge me for it.
Not sure about long term quality cause the alignment made one of the specs go from barely in-spec to slightly out of spec, 22 sienna xse. Price in dollars they charged for a tire alignment wheel alignment only was $202 dollars and I’m not sure if that’s expensive or cheap though it seems expensive considering shop rates $100 an hour and it took an hour? Whew. Otherwise they let me walk in and get it done right away.
I took my car to Ben and his team after getting a quote from the dealership that seemed excessively high and over-diagnosed. Within minutes, the team at Auto Stop Elite was able to identify the issue as a minor battery problem and get everything fixed quickly. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and I will be going here from now on with any car-related problems!
Had a gasket leak in the engine which produced a toxic smell inside the car. I called them one day, the next day they were able to look at my car. It took a day to receive parts from the manufacturer. All-in-all, I had my car back by the 3rd day. It was pricey, but worth not having further engine trouble. The customer service was very pleasant and professional.
First time to visit the Purcellville location. Outstanding facility and customer service! So impressed! Other shops and even dealerships could learn from them!
After Bill Page Honda service screwed up my front end alignment, I took my CRV to Auto Stop Elite after a friend recommended them. From the initial call to make an appointment, to the detailed conversation I had upon arrival about the problem, the possible solutions, how long it would take, the anticipated cost, and the eventual outcome...this was one of the most positive experiences I have ever had with an auto service provider...and I'm talking about over 50 years! Highly recommend, just a great crew and competent work at an acceptable price.
Fantastic service from Auto Stop Elite from start to finish and I can’t believe I haven’t come sooner! On recommendation of my neighbor I came and was so impressed with their transparency, pricing and ease of service. I actually only came to enquire about pricing, though my state inspection was due. Granted they took care of everything in under 45min I usually dread going all the way to Leesburg to my regular car dealership where I consistently come out feeling I’ve just been robbed of a kidney.. Granted ASE was very reasonable when comparing prices like for like! Ben in particular was very helpful guiding me through recommendations and cross checking my records for services that may have already been done. Overall I’d highly recommend and will definitely be back again for all my future maintenance services.
I love coming to Auto Stop Elite - the last time I was there was the end of August 2023 and they did such an AMAZING job on "every little thing" that this is my first return trip in 2+ years! The diagnostic sheet they crank out makes it easy for you to walk thru what your vehicle needs "for sure" plus recommends on things to monitor, as well as "green lights" for everything that's shipshape PLUS the take the time to walk thru everything and discuss it. NO high pressure sales tactics, nada. I cannot recommend them more highly!
Let me tell you these people do nothing but help me today. Came in for an oil change, but there was issues from the previous company that did it ( VA Tire and auto). Here they diagnosed it and told me my options. I had to leave to Georgia for work and had to leave soon as possible. They gave me a loaner vehicle while I was finishing up packing. This company definitely takes care of their customers and is knowledgeable on automobiles. When I come back during the holidays, I definitely will return to get my car re-inspected thank you very much.
First the good & then the bad. I have to say that Jason was very professional and nice. We actually had a lot in common. After finishing with my oil change, he told me there were 6 things that needed to be fixed. One of them was a filter replacement for a $145.00. If you think I'm kidding, I'll post the pictures. I took my car to my regular mechanic who is my friend. All of those things that he said that I needed, don't need to be done until I hit 50,000 miles. My car only has 30 430 miles. I'm not sure if he thought that he could take advantage of me because I was a woman. My mechanic also laughed at the prices & said they were outrageous. They don't even charge labor to replace the filters. Ps I can buy the filters & replace them myself. I'll have to say I will never come back to this place ever again.
This is in response to the owner's response. Even if that was the case there are 3 other services that you wanted to charge me for that were also not needed. Also, no response to a $145 charge for a filter replacement, which is ridiculous. The way this economy is now and everything is already outrageously expensive due to this administration. You need to stop taking advantage of people.
I just searched on Google auto repair for Audi and thus place popped up with 4.9 stars. Kinda hard to beat that so I went with it. Very smooth process, everything was extremely smooth and Jason walked me through the ent process, communicating any issues that arouse to let me get the complete picture of what was going on and the option to repair it not. The loaner car was a great option as most places that aren’t a dealership don’t have loaners. I’ll definitely use them again. I even got a complimentary year or roadside assistance and a credit for the next time I need repairs. Thanks for such a smooth process.
I took it in to check the suspension and get a state inspection. They did a full evaluation and sent me the results, complete with pictures and videos, which turned up front brake replacement (247K mi on the car) and a couple important fixes before the state inspection. Excellent customer service; all was done in a timely manner. 1st visit, I'll be going back..
I have dealt with auto service companies throughout NOVA for over 40 years and this place is by far the best. Went in to have my headlights restored and they did a complementary head to toe inspection of my vehicle. I am so glad they did. There were some pretty significant issues that I was not aware of. When they do the inspection they send you a comprehensive report with pictures so you have a clear understanding of what the issues are as well as what is working well. They don't try and shove extras down your throat either. They make you aware tell you the price and if you decide not to get the other items done they are still just as nice, polite and respectful. The work was done on time and I will definitely use them moving forward. Also, they have a fantastic rewards program as well. So if you are looking for a honest auto shop go see them. Ask for Jason he is the best!
This auto shop is very friendly, has reasonable prices, especially for the service that you get, and the waiting area is spacious and welcoming. You know when you walk in that you will be taken care of and if any errors are made, they would correct them, as opposed to other places just trying to get you in and out. Ben and the rest of the staff are professionals. I took my vehicle in for some work and they took care of me. They did a thorough inspection in order to identify any issues. The report included photos so I could see exactly what they were talking about. They also prioritize what work needed to be done. They went the extra mile by checking to see if any parts could be reused instead of just suggesting I buy new ones. I might have saved a few bucks if I had gone to another shop and have them use after market parts, but Ben helped me understand that quality work done right will save me money over time.
