I have nothing but positive things to say about Byron, the sales associate who went above and beyond yesterday morning. I decided to be an adult and challenge myself in installing some windshield wipers and headlights by myself that morning. Byron constantly checked in on me, offered me continuous support, and even demonstrated how to install the windshield wipers and the light bulb in so I could try it myself. He was my personal hype man. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without his help. When I tried to tip him, he refused and was completely humble about the entire situation. Throughout that entire day, I couldn’t stop thinking about his support and his great customer service. I’m truly grateful for him! I hope Byron receives recognition for the exceptional customer service he provides. Employees like him make a huge difference in the customer experience.

I dropped by to buy new wiper blades after they were pulled off in a car wash. They had the wiper blades I needed and an employee came outside and attached them to my car, such great service!

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Advanced Auto Parts and their inflexible return policy. A couple of weeks ago, I purchased a 4 Way Tire Iron Wrench when my car was stranded with a flat tire. Unfortunately, when I attempted to use it, the wrench wasn't long enough to provide adequate leverage to loosen the lug nuts. As a result, I had no choice but to have my vehicle towed to a service center, which cost me additional money and time. Today, I returned to the store to get a refund for a product that simply didn't work for its intended purpose. The staff at the counter refused to accept the return, stating that because the tool had been used, they couldn't take it back. I explained that I had only tried using it once to discover it was inadequate for the job, but they were unwilling to make an exception. Instead, they only offered me the option to exchange it for something else in the store. I find this policy unreasonable. How can you determine if a tool works without actually using it? The whole point of buying emergency roadside equipment is to have it work when you need it most. This product failed to do its job, yet I'm stuck with it or forced to exchange for merchandise I may not need. I've never encountered this type of inflexible return policy at any other auto parts store. This experience has completely eroded my trust in Advanced Auto Parts, and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. I do not recommend shopping here if you value customer service and reasonable return policies.

Went in to ask about a battery being in stock and if they would be able to replace it for me. The young man behind the counter immediately looked annoyed and bothered. He said he was the only one there, which is understandable that he may have been overwhelmed, but I think basic customer service goes a long way. If he would have just relayed that information in a professional way I would have just come back at 4pm to purchase the battery when they had more staff, but I would rather not have someone who looks annoyed touching my car. I just asked a question and was very polite. How am I supposed to know they were short staffed?

I visited the Advance Auto Parts at 8111 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042 and had a very disappointing experience. I came in politely asking for help replacing a battery that’s easily accessible in the trunk. Despite explaining that everything was cleared and ready, the employee appeared visibly unmotivated and uninterested in helping. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, and he refused to even take a look before saying they don’t do trunk installations. I left without any assistance. This location seriously needs better customer service training — I do not recommend coming here for battery replacement.

I call the store before making a pruchase for a new battery. I asked if they could install it for me. Also I asked if I would get any money back since they would keep the old battery when all was done. The person in the phone said yes. So this was the reason why I bought it here. Also since was cyber Monday I thought I would get the discount online of the 20% blah blah. But of course I didn't. I bought it anyways since my battery need it to be changed and I didn't have time to wait. When I got to the store I asked about the battery and the exchange and get money back for the old one. Oh surprise if your battery has too much corrosion they won't. I was like fine so I had someone to change it for me. What about the money back for the exchange of the battery. Sure no problem just bring back the old battery. Fine I came the next day and oh surprise. The system is not working in this side let's move to the other computer. Sure, then oh no I won't be able to give you the money back. Because you were not charge the core value. Blah blah blah. Do not mislead people. If you are not able to do what you promise before making the purchase in your store. I should have gone to Autozone. But of course because is closer to my house that's why I chose this store. No worries. Learn my lesson Never again. Of course I left the stupid old battery, because I won't be carrying with me back and forth and keep wasting people's time.

Tuesday mid day trip to warranty a failing car battery from another location. Long story short the two gentlemen working that day made my car issues painless. Thank you and great job Riley and Marlon.

I was not able to get a new battery today due to a failed battery tester but the customer service was great. Riley attempted to help me and another gentleman with jumping our vehicles going beyond the call. When you're having a rough day with the car, having someone happy to help you can make all the difference.

Young guy behind the counter couldn't be bothered to help, very rude. Going to Auto Zone instead. Response to business: You have similar reviews going down the page. Why would anyone return here with such poor customer service?!

The employees I have dealt with are very selective in who they chose to help with attentiveness versus annoyance. They don’t seem very interested in making sure every customer is happy and get by with minimal conversation for customer interactions. Store is in a convenient location and they usually have all parts in stock if you know what you need already.

I appreciate Advanced for hiring customer service oriented people like Gabriel and Lance. From the beginning they were empathetic with me and my broken arm and helped me solve my problem. They were extremely knowledgeable about the matter in question and great to provide instructions and recommend other products (I have 0 knowledge about cars). My car is fixed! Thank you !

Byron was awesome, from the way he greeted me as I walked in, to the way he was courteous to help me find the parts I needed and he even helped me put on some wipers!! Amazing customer service! GIVE THE GUY A RAISE!

I went to buy a new battery and the manager was very dismissive and clearly annoyed at everything. As their sign says they offer to install the new batteries free of charge, but the manager could not be bothered to do so. I asked him why? He responded that it was to late to do it, it was 6:45pm to be exact, this is not the first time that I’m experiencing bad customer service by the manager, he is so rude and out of education, he must be replaced with a better manager, he’s actually affecting you guys on sales and others customers experience, if I came back to this location and I see him I just walk away and go to a different business like Napa, or autozone etc There are a lot of bad comments about him, why are you guy ignoring us?

Zero stars given Techron high mileage on sale buy one get one free. Only one in stock. Regular variety also buy one get one free. Cashier would allow me to get the high mileage and the regular even though they are both part of the sale. Totally inflexible and entitled behavior. Not the way to treat customers and go above and beyond. Also looked very disinterested in his job. All reviews about this store are correct. Went to the one off of rt 50 and they were more than helpful. The BOGO sale is clearly in the ad for Techron as cross promotional as they kindly pointed out. Advise to go to the Low man's plaza store instead!

The manager should be fired asap, he is very rude to customers, doesn’t speak politely nor give proper customer service, i just went to return the item and didn’t had the receipt, i had my credit card transaction asked the manager if he can help, but he seems very rude and trying to teach me some kind of company policy, when asked for customer care number he wasn’t ready to give, after repeatedly asking i got the number, immediately called customer service they helped me and even told that manager could have find the transaction on the system easily. I see there are lot of negative reviews on the manger which now make sence, as he behaves very bad way to customers.I request the corporate to fire the manager asap!!!!

I went to this location for the first time this morning after 11am. There were 3 customers including me waiting but only two employees were working. The manager was outside assisting customers while the other was at the register. I needed assistance because my brake light was cutting on. After asking the person behind the register for recommendations, he gave me an OBD scanner to detect a code. I guess he could not help because the line started to grow. I had to watch videos just to figure out how to use it. After trying to figure it out, I gave in and decided to give the scanner back. In the meantime, the manager and a customer got into an argument because they were waiting for a long time. THEY NEED MORE EMPLOYEES. This was not a good experience and I will not visit this location again.

Extremely poor customer service. I buy alot from Advance Auto Parts and this was my 1st time at this location and I will tell you that it is my last. The store staff was rude 1st off. The one female worker walked right passed me and never asked if I needed help at all. I then go up to the counter to get serviced and the guy behind the counter who was taking an order over the phone gets off the call and then takes care of the guy behind me and totally ignored me. I was holding in my hands what I needed and was going to get a few things from behind the counter as well. Needless to say after that I put down what I was buying and walked out. Terrible Service....

Incredible store! Byron, Chris and their team are an amazing people! I really enjoy going to this store not only because they’re knowledgeable (on cars and parts) but because the service I get every time! Always on-time with their deliveries and with A1 with their creatives and customer service! Highly recommend this store! Pay them a visit! 🙏🏽

ALL the employees in this store are knowledgeable and very helpful. I recently had to replace my headlights (AGAIN because of some car problem, I'm sure) and LANCE not only was extremely professional, but he he even listened to my situation, gave useful advice and even gave me a FREE set of rubber gloves so that I wouldn't touch the bulb during installation--as I typically do. KUDOS to Advance for having employees who CARE, such as LANCE, as their staff!

Lans and Byron were beyond helpful. My battery died and they not only helped me purchase the right one for my car, but they also helped me understand my options. Absolutely happy w. My visit to this location. Bryon is the young man that help me and the customer service is exceptional. Being a female the auto part store can be a scary place with some many unknowns. I left feeling knowledgeable, and in the loop with what was going on with my car. Definitely recommend this location If your in the area. And definitely recommend him as the Associate to help you.

I recently bought rotors and brake pads at this location and they were flawed. I work 7 days a week and I finally had a day off to fix my car and on my route home I went to 2 different Advanced Autoparts locations (which by the way I’m a loyal costumer) I asked if the parts had a guarantee and both said that they did but neither store could help me because I actually bought my parts at this location. I called the store a couple of days ago to ask if the parts still had the guarantee and they asked me to bring my parts for them to inspect and be able to give me the new parts and that’s what I did. When I got to the store today, the cashier called the manager and the manager told me directly that they could not exchange the parts for new ones without inspecting the parts or checking if they actually had a guarantee on their system. The manager told that he wasn’t gonna do that. I asked if he could check for me and gave him the receipt and he didn’t bother to take the receipt and asked me with a bad attitude about the date I purchased the parts. When I told him the date, he was rude and said that he wasn’t going to exchange the items. I told him once again that the parts did have a guarantee because I was sure since I had asked 3 times. The guy gave me a bad look and said that I shouldn’t go to this store to tell him what to do because he was the store manager. I was very upset and told him that I really needed those parts because the ones I bought from their store were flawed. Plus he assumed that I had a racing car and I brake too hard and that’s why my brakes need to be changed so soon. After this experience I’m not going back to this location and the store manager should not treat customers like he treated me because he even asked me to leave the store because he wasn’t going to help me.

I went to store to make a return for online purchase. As one of the employee begins process of return, the store manager named Byron takes over and makes an assumption that the item was used so it cannot be returned. I told him truthfully that it was never used and I’m returning the way they exactly delivered. The delivery slip that was taped from the factory stayed on there and was never taken off. Then he makes another excuse saying that their policy doesn’t accept electrical parts. I look at at the policy and it says “some” merchandise not “all”. He goes on to define what “some” products are and notes that spray cans are considered as “some” products. This wouldn’t get resolved so I asked him for store credit even though I deserved a regular refund. He questions why I’m asking for store credit and then says that he can only give back portion for store credit because the cost of the item has changed. I told him that I would go and return it at a different store because this was getting nowhere and then he says that now I can’t take the item back because it’s now processed to store credit and it can’t be undone. I ask for his full name along with the other employee so that I can call customer service. He calls himself a manager and doesn’t even know his employee’s name. So called “manager” is unwilling to resolve an issue and threatens to tell the customer that he would turn his back and walk away if I don’t follow what he is saying. This employer refuses to resolve the issue nor answer questions that the customer is asking and only tells the customer to be quiet. This store is unacceptable top to bottom and all employees are poorly trained. Worst customer service.

5/5 stars easily! It’s Friday night, near closing hour, freezing cold outside, and my car battery has died and I desperately needed a new car battery installed. If there is a superhero living in 22042, his name is Byron. I am certain he has a cape hidden in the backseat of his car or closet at home. I can’t thank him enough for his professionalism, efficiency, and dedication to customer service. Byron and his team went above and beyond to help me purchase and install my new car battery. It’s my first time visiting Advance Auto Parts, but I felt like I was treated like family. The communication and service Byron provided was smooth, straightforward, and amongst the best levels of customer service I have experienced. I could not be more impressed by Byron and the rest of the team at Advance Auto Parts. Thank you Byron for your fantastic service and willing to go the extra mile to help a customer out. I would highly recommend Byron and the team at Advance Auto Parts to any family member or friend.

They advertised that when you buy wiper, they will install it for free. But I went today and bought the wiper, their grumpy staff with a beard who was " not- in- a -mood" to install and almost scratched the windscreen of my car! Well if you don't wanna provide some service why do you advertise it?? Just to look cool or sell. I could have done it somewhere else. He was swearing.....that really scared my kid. I mean what kind of sales person or staff do you hire to kill your reputation?? Please hire with some common sense, and who is civil. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Utterly disappointed!!!!

I went to buy a new battery and Walter was very dismissive and clearly annoyed at everything. As their sign says they offer to install the new batteries free of charge, but Walter could not be bothered to do so. When i asked why would he not install the battery he said that he was "alone in the store"... on of the representatives was sitting in the back on his phone while all this was happening. I am not coming back to this store thanks to Walter and his friend that could not be bothered.
