I brought my imported 95 Landcruiser here to have them do a post-purchase inspection and gave them a list of things to check and possibly do. The car had just arrived from Japan. The shop was great, they looked over the car and sent me a report a few days later that included photos and videos. To my surprise, the car was in spectacular shape. The shop recommended doing no services at all at the present time. I appreciate that honesty. Best of all, when I went to pick up the car, they didn't even charge me for looking it over. That was amazing. I tip my hat to you. Due to the honesty and type of service I received, I will bring my other vehicles here for service when needed.

Brought my car here in Dec 2025 after doing some diy work for inspection/alignment. Inspection looked good they said. I asked them to fix something easy (literally bend something that was rubbing)—they didn’t do it, I had to do it myself after I got my car back. Alignment specs were whacky but passable. Brought my car to another shop to get a custom alignment recently. Long story short there was a bunch of things they missed on inspection, and they didn’t do what I asked them to do. I’m not convinced they actually looked at/did anything.

⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️ I had an amazing experience at Ben Nielsen’s Skyline Automotive! From start to finish, the customer service was top tier. The team was professional, honest, and took the time to explain everything clearly without any pressure. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of their work. My vehicle was serviced quickly and runs better than ever. Pricing was fair, and there were no surprises just straightforward, reliable service. It’s hard to find a shop you can genuinely trust, but Skyline Automotive definitely earned mine. Highly recommend to anyone looking for dependable, knowledgeable, and friendly automotive service. I’ll definitely be coming back if I need any work done!

The managers and front service workers have always been extremely inviting and honest. The mechanics have a great eye for what’s going on with the vehicles they overlook. I couldn’t recommend a shop more than I do skyline!

Overall I had a good experience at Ben Nielsens, but there were a few services they tried to charge me more than the dealership prices - about $500 more. I chose to go somewhere other than the dealership in hopes to get a better price, but ended up paying the same price as the dealership, only after I negotiated and asked for price matches. Next time, I’ll just go to the dealership first since they will know my car best and I’ll get the most accurate price without having to negotiate.

I usually go there for oil changes because it’s close to my place and convenient. However, I was disappointed with their recent estimate. They quoted me $700 for a basic replacement on my car, but I later found out that the same repair would cost around $200 at the dealership. That’s a significant price difference. Because of this experience, I’m not sure I will go back there again. I expect fair and transparent pricing, especially for routine or basic repairs.

By far the best auto shop I’ve been to within the DMV. They kept me informed every step of the way with my vehicle and worked with me to make sure my truck got properly inspected. Mr. Cody Via was a phenomenal help during this process and was very knowledgeable on my current issue. He had all the answers and helped me as much as he could to make sure I was not leaving his shop with any more issues or questions. TALK ABOUT OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE !!

I have been going to Ben Nielsen in Old Town Alexandria and more recently to the Skyline location. I must give kudos Isaiah his team for helping me with my convertible top, as well as making my car run like new. They have always been very attentive to me, no matter what the situation. They actually delivered my car to my home during the ice storm a few weeks ago.

I really can’t say enough about how amazing Ben Nielsen and his entire team over at skyline have been to me and to my family. My Audi Q7 broke down last week and was inoperable for six days. Ben took my call and kept me calm and focused while we tried to figure out what exactly was going on with my suv. After a few minutes on the phone we thought it was best to have it towed to the nearest shop a few miles away (by the way, this was an evening/after hours call). Ben helped get me a tow and offered to send me a car to be driven home. I opted to walk down the street to a local restaurant to take advantage of my stranded situation (that’s an entirely different story). Back to my review. The next morning the Nielsen team helped me understand what was going on with my suv, the options available to me, and provided a detailed break down of the costs associated with the five years of neglect and work needed to be sone to my suv. The number was a big number but there is a cost associated with having skilled technicians on staff to do the work and do it right. I was ok with this and they were kind enough to work with me on the price. Through the entire process, Ben and his team kept me in the loop at all stages of the service, until my car suv was ready for pick up. I recommend anyone looking for a hard-working, honest team to service your car or SUV to look no further than Ben Nielsen at any of his locations. My wife and I often use one of their locations in Alexandria on Colvin street because it’s closer to home, but when my Audi broke down, skyline became the best option. There’s no financial incentive for me to give this review only the gratitude, gratefulness, and my overall desire to thank the team for what they did. Thank you Ben and the Skyline team.

If I could give Skyline Automotive 10 stars, I would without hesitation. Hands down the best automotive service experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, the professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail were on another level. The team went above and beyond in every possible way. Clear communication, fair pricing, and work that was absolutely flawless. No upselling, no pressure, just genuine expertise and pride in their craft. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of their work. My car came back running better than ever, and the entire process was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. This is the kind of shop you hope to find, but rarely do. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, top-tier automotive shop that delivers perfect results and amazing service every single step of the way, Skyline Automotive is it. I won’t take my car anywhere else. Highly, highly recommend paying them a visit for all of your automotive needs!

Came in for an oil change right before the big blizzard. CJ was 5/5 amazing. He was informed, took care of transportation for me while I waited, and corrected the techs’ oversight of not inflating the tires as had been requested. 4/5 overall instead of 5/5 overall because an oil change took 5 hours instead of the estimated 2, and even when I got the truck back not everything we discussed was completed. I will 100% be back again—I will just plan on service being an all-day event. -Bryce

The team got everything I needed done, but I had some communication concerns. They're very friendly and have a great space for waiting on the repairs. tl;dr: I wasn't notified when they were finished with two of the requested services. I took my vehicle in for State inspection and 100K mile maintenance items around 8am and got started on the repair a few moments later. State inspector was not in for the day, so the car needed to be taken across the street for another location that had an inspector available. No problem at all for me, but may need to indicate this to folks when they called ahead asking to come in since the added time could rub folks the wrong way. Perhaps it is posted elsewhere but I wasn't aware. The conversation was that after they had finished the inspection we could continue talking about the 100k mile maintenance work. After waiting in the location for roughly and hour and a half since I spoke with the representative, I didn't receive any notification that the state inspection was done. I went up to ask about the car, noticing that it was out front again in a new parking spot, and they stated it was done. I'm worried that if I did not ask, it would never have been brought to my attention. Afterwards, around 10am, we discussed what 100k maintenance items I'd need done based on the maintenance history. List was fairly long and I needed the car by 4pm. Not being an expert at the repair I thought this would be enough time. After he assured me it'd be done by 4pm they paid for a Lyft to take me to my home to wait out the time. To just check in on the progress, I had called them at around 2pm to see what the status was and he quickly stated it was finished... I was surprised because again, I would have thought they would have reached out to me stating the repair had finished. I quickly took a Lyft back, paid for the maintenance, and was on my way out by 2:40pm or so. Introspectively, I probably should have directly stated that I would want a call or update as soon as they'd know when it would be finished as I've had this courtesy call with any other service place I've gone to for my car. For this reason I'm not marking them any less than 4-stars because ultimately the team did a good job in welcoming me and making sure the items were clearly stated prior to the work but I wish communication had been more clear. It's fair to have an expectation that the customer would be notified when the work was completed.

My first time here. I have to say, I'm really impressed. Their level of customer service, and honesty, is unmatched. I felt like they gave me honest recommendations without trying to make me feel like I had to have every possible repair and update done. They did great work, fair prices, and great communication. I will absolutely be coming back!

I really like the professionalism and the courtesy shown. It’s felt that they truly appreciate your business and they went the extra mile specifically to ensure my experience was and is a good one. Will take all My vehicles here

This was the best experience I had in a shop! These guys are next level of customer service! I brought my car for an oil change and I got a full report with pictures of all the things they looked at it and recommended what I should keep an eye on! They definitely made a loyal customer!

The people were great. Service was 2nd to none. Drove away feeling very good about the work done and the total bill. Just sbout everything they recommended from their diagnostic tests were items I wanted done before I got there or I had already scheduled with another shop. I was primarily looking to have my transmission fluid replaced on my 85k mazda. At once I felt at ease when I was told they may have to get special fluid. From my research I already knew that you can’t just put any generic fluid into my 2015 Mazda6’s transmission

Huge thanks to Zac and Isaiah for taking the time to help me with a difficult situation caused by another shop (the Subaru dealership and a Valvoline, actually). My oil pan bolt was stripped to hell and stuck like an Alabama Tick. The oil pan was previously dented from another outfit trying to get the bolt out. These guys were honest, professional, and focused on just getting it all done right. The work--bolt and pan and oil change -was handled quickly and fixed within an hour (same day I called and brought the car in). Thanks again, fellas. I'll do what Arnold says next time I need something done. Happy Holidays! -Chase

Happy with their work + customer service. When I returned from a trip my battery was dead. There was a problem with the power steering as well. They fixed this, along with several other issues. Isaiah and Cody were especially wonderful and helpful.

They refused to give me a quote on tpms sensor replacement and told me I could come in for a free assessment. Had to get out of work early to bring my car in. Parking in the lot was quite hectic. Stop by for no longer and 10 mins to ask in person for an estimate. ~1300 to replace four sensors!! I thought I heard them wrong... Told me it took one hour of labor on each wheel. I call bullshit. Takes you one hour without tools. Personnel was nice but service is WAY too expensive. Left without having them even try to diagnose anything.

I’ve been going to Skyline Automotive for years now for tire rotations and oil changes - they always provide a detailed report/inspection on my car and have never pushed or up-charged me. Now that my vehicle had passed 50k miles I knew that some more “involved” preventative maintenance and tires were probably due. I told them specifically I wanted to go through with any of the manufacturers recommendations for my mileage and they were very communicative in what needed done and why, and they wanted to be sure I gave approval and understood pricing before they did anything. With (5) new 35” boulders, and everything from spark plugs to power steering fluid on an itemized receipt, I think the pricing was fair (<$5k) especially for this level of care. They had it all done within 2-3 days and sent me a Lyft to pick me up! Skyline is a clean, tech-savvy, fairly priced, professional shop that I will continue to turn to for years to come.

This is the first time I used this shop because of distance convenience . Few days ago, I replaced my car wheel sensors at Costco tire center, however it seems were not calibrated. Last Thursday, I took the vehicle to skyline auto to check the issue, around3:30 pm that day I got a call from the shop informing me that the wheel sensors need calibration the the code to be removed. I theorized the repair. Around 4:30 pm picked up the car after being told the issue is fixed . According to the inspection and repair report, “The tire pressure light was flashing prior to service. Checked all TPMs sensors, recalibrated and cleared all codes. The light is now completely off “. The report included list of maintenance with cost close to $4000 which I declined. I was asked to bring the car this morning for another look, then I told to come at 3pm which I did. The gentleman took the car for 1 minute drive came back to tell I need another 4 wheel sensors with cost around $700. The Q to business owner, why I was told the issue is fixed , then another issue to cost $700 after paying for the repair the first time? Thank you, Ahmad H Muhsen

Always excellent service, over the top in care for the customer and the vehicle they are repairing. Fair and honest prices. The center will contact the owner if the cost estimate is above the original quote. I truly appreciate I am offered a ride home while the car is being serviced. Skyline will either send a driver or call Lyft on my behalf when the work is completed. Skyline stands by all work completed by the center, if something is not right they will make it right. I highly recommend Ben Nielsen's Skyline Auto in Falls Church!!!

I brought my BMW to the shop for them to check my batteries. They informed me that one battery was dead and that they needed to replace it. The battery in question is approximately six months old. I did a little research and identified that my BMW might have a parasitic draw. When I spoke to the mechanics about this they were very accepting of my suggestion and said they would do some further testing. They did identify a draw and where it was coming from. Sadly, I had to pay for that item to be replaced, but now I expect my vehicle to run without any issues, with a new battery and a new water pump. The staff kept me up-to-date on everything, and I really appreciated their ability to get my vehicle back to me as soon as they could. Not to mention, they were able to provide me with a loaner, which definitely helped out on any rental fees. Recently, my girlfriend went on a trip and asked me to have her tires checked. I took her BMW to the shop and they identified a puncture and excessive treadwear. They changed the tires and got the vehicle back to her within one day. The shop and the staff are top-notch. If you want good work done, at a good price, and if you like that mechanics are open to listening to any suggestions you might have, and act on them, then this is the one stop automotive shop for you. On behalf of myself and my girlfriend, thank you Skyline Automotive.

Walked in, greeted immediately and after a quick diagnosis, Cody, who was knowledgeable and friendly, had me scheduled for a next day appointment. Was straightforward and honest when they discovered the issue was something less severe. Provided the exact cost and performed the service to my complete satisfaction. Did a thorough vehicle check and assessment and advised of future necessary service. Provided an online link to a detailed recap Very neat and clean facility with easy access.

Unmatched service, drop off and pick ups are so convenient. I can drop my car off and not miss work or getting home in time to shuttle my kids to their activities. The waiting area is always immaculate!

What great service. My 2014 Civic was having a stuttering issue and they were able to find the cause when the dealership couldn’t. Definitely will return and will recommend to others.

I will be using them for my mechanical needs going forward. The front desk is welcoming and respectful. They didn’t try to convince me to get additional things repaired or changed early. I was surprised at the honesty and quickness of the work. Also, provided a Lyft ride to my home and back at no extra cost.

I took my Lincoln Aviator to the shop. Took 3 days and cost a lot, but they didn’t fix the real problem — they repaired the wrong part. Car still not fixed! Overpriced, slow service, Worst experience ever. However They said we will call you and bring the car back. But i can’t pay twice for it. Can’t believe it.

Been there three times. There is a fine line between recommending services and up selling. Then after you pay and leave, there is a fine line between staying engaged with the customer to remain relevant and being pushy by continuing to up sell services. They cross that line in both instances. The last time I was there, they recommended wheel alignment. But they did that on my previous to last visit in May 2025. I drove less than 1000 miles - just one example.
