Fairfax trash services have become excellent. I was thinking that I might have to call every week to get my yard waste picked up but they appear to have fixed all that. The folks in the phone were always nice and came to expect my call at 3:30 pm for missed yard waste pickup. One of the scheduling team spoke to us about working out where the trucks would be as they had to rotate the same trucks in our area and it looks like it worked. Really appreciate their crews and the how responsive they all are. Seems like they are working well at all levels in that organization.
Our regular trash/recycling service is phenomenal. However, when it comes to special pick up, there are some standards that really need to be set. Our special pick up was missed over 3 weeks in a row. Every time for a different reason. We finally called 1-800-got junk and they were here in AN HOUR! So worth it, especially if you have HOA and can’t have items on the street for long
Second time I had to call to have them come back and take ALL the paper recycle bags. I have about 12 bags...they took 2,..I put them out so they can't be too heavy for these guys. Called and left a message with Supervisor Mary. Waiting on a call back.
I've had Fairfax County as our trash collection service for 12 years, and they are amazing! They've never missed one pickup, and my pickup day is Monday which means it falls on several holidays. They pick up on holidays, too. I get a few special pickups a year and those are always on time, too. Need a new trash can? Got one the day after I asked. Usually government services are something you put up with because you have to, but these guys truly are the best.
