I highly recommend MTR to anyone seeking trustworthy, reliable automotive services. They are so accommodating. I've been going to MTR for many years, and I am thankful I can fully rely on them.

Read this if you are thinking about taking your vehicle here for transmission problems. I took my 2014 Honda Civic here with transmission problems. (warning: this is a long one). I would not take my car here again. I could not afford to buy a new car at the time, so fixing up my used car was my only option. They gave me two quotes. One was for a transmission rebuild (more expensive) and the other was for a transmission replacement (cheaper). We ended up going with the rebuild even though it was slightly more expensive (around $4500) because Marvin said it was the safer option if we were looking for longevity. The shop had my car for about a month for the rebuild. When I got it back, things were not up to par. Somewhere during the rebuild, the shifter was knocked out of alignment. Intermittently, when I placed my car into park, the vehicle would not recognize that it was in park. I had to push/nudge on the stick once it was in park to turn my vehicle off. If I didn't do this, the accessories would stay on and the battery would die. It was annoying as hell. I notified Marvin and he said they would take a look at it, but honestly, I didn't want to deal with the inconvenience of not having transportation again. So I dealt with this new quirk. The transmission was never the same after the rebuild. I experienced issues when initially starting up my car, driving away and shifting gears but once it warmed up it was fine. They test drove it and deemed it up to standards, so I assumed this was just how my new transmission operate. My new transmission only lasted a few months. I immediately reached out to Marvin again. They looked at my vehicle and said they think they knew what the issue was (something about a reprograming of a computer) that would be an additional $300-$400 NOT covered under warranty. I asked if it was truly going to fix the problem and was assured that they felt pretty confident. So, I coughed up another chunk of change. Guess what? It didn't fix the issue. So now they were going to proceed with a full transmission re-rebuild under warranty. When I spoke to Marvin on the phone a few weeks later, I was informed that the new transmission that was sent to them was no good and contained metal shards. He explained they would have to continue looking for a better option. I asked him why they were replacing my transmission when I had paid for a rebuild (remember the rebuild was the more expensive option). He became flustered, said he needed to check on something and said he would call me back. He called me back and said that I was correct. And that they would be performing a rebuild. (Very strange) It was at this point that I knew I made a huge mistake. They rebuilt my transmission. But following the rebuild, the issues persisted. Marvin then informed me that it was actually an issue with the ECM. (?!?!?!?!) They would need to replace the ECM. They attempted to locate one but were unsuccessful. They would continue to try and locate an ECM. This went on for another two months. I checked in weekly with them for updates. At a certain point Marvin completely stopped answering my phone calls and e-mails. It was clear that this was not going to get resolved and I would just need to cut my losses and move on. One day I got fed up, drove to MTR, picked up the Honda and sold it at Carmax. I did not get much for it. FUNNY SIDE STORY. The man who appraised my car at Carmax, didn't know about my little stick shift trick to turn the car off. He didn't realize my car was not fully shut off, accessories were left on, and my battery died. After I accepted the sale and was asked to drive it into the garage, I went out to start it and it was dead. One last fun little hoo rah with my Honda. I was convinced they would no longer buy it from me, but they still did. Phew. Learned my lesson. I will never repair a car with transmission issues again. If you do decide on transmission repairs and are considering taking it here or anywhere else for that matter, take my experience into consideration.

I had a very disappointing experience with Marvin and Mtr. I brought my car in for an issue that Marvin assured me would be fixed after the repairs he recommended. Unfortunately, after paying a hefty bill, the problem persisted. When I reached out to address it, the follow-up service was practically nonexistent. Marvin and his team seemed uninterested in taking accountability or providing a solution without charging me again. It was clear they were more focused on getting paid than ensuring customer satisfaction. I wouldn’t trust them with my vehicle again—very poor communication and service all around. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a reliable mechanic.

Melvin is the absolute best. Not only is the work he does outstanding, but he’s honest. Both my mom and myself have Teslas and accidentally hit poles in different garages. Different dealerships quoted me between $2500-3200, Melvin’s cost was a FRACTION and you can’t even see where the damage was. When the same thing happened to my mom, we didn’t even look other places- I took her directly to MTR. Again, his work is excellent, he’s honest, his whole staff is super nice, and I trust this place above anyone else.

Called on the day of asked if I needed appointment person I spoke for said it’s best but can always just come in but wait time about 2 hours for qoute. Received my quote and they were able to order my parts the same day and next my car was repaired and ready to go. Thanks for the quick service.

Had to get a large cargo van repaired. MTR was able to quickly fix all of the issues and return the van. 10/10 experience. Great people, great quality of work, great customer service!

I brought my wife's 2012 Chevy Sonic in to get checked out and and estimate for cost to repair. I dropped it off as scheduled, and I recieved an estimate for repairs within about 1.5hrs. The estimate was in pdf. format and had cost broken down by replacement parts and labor. Their diagnostic of what the problems were was on point and recieved my car back the same day. Pricing was fair, everything else was above par. I would recommend these guys.

New to the area and was looking for an honest mechanic. MTR gave my husband and I a great quote. Marvin was exceptionally polite, knowledgable, and honest. Will absolutely go back in the future.

Communication and quickness! I had a great experience at MTR auto services. I had an apt for a few days out, however my car gave out earlier than expected. They let me bring it in right then and there and still had me out the door by end of day! They kept me updated and provides inquiries and quotes as things changed. They are definitely my go-to shop now! Thank you Marvin!

Shop didn't know how to perform a simple and complete compression check on a very simple OEM 4 cylinder car. Wasted 3 days of my time and $120 to do basically nothing. Not sure what the shop can do, but engine and tune up work isn't its strength. Gave it an opportunity to remedy the lack and it wasn't interested. Waste of time and money.

After previously going to a different auto shop, having a horrible experience and them trying to over charge me for things I know I didn't need. I ended up walking out. I found this place and saw it had 5 stars (from recent clients). I visited this shop for the first time and will give it absolutely 5 stars as well. I went in for service and they checked to see why my engine light was on. They were able to tell me exactly what was wrong with it and did not charge me for anything I did not need. All I needed was a tune up. They were honest with reasonable prices. I will definitely return and recommend this place to anyone.

After taking my vehicle to a local dealership for years, I decided to take my car somewhere else and try it out. I honestly did not expect the service to be any different than any other shop I went to. I was blown away not only by the professional demeanor of all employees, but also by the quick and cordial service. The payment process was also quite impressive. I will continue taking all of my vehicles to MTR Auto Service. I recommend you do the same. You will not be sorry.

I have used MTR many times and Marvin is a great person to deal with I took a vehicle that other shops turned down. Marvin immediately said he was able to it and updated me every step of the way. I got some body work done as well as engine work. Overall great experience and great shop for auto repair and body work I highly recommend.

I have always taken many of family vehicles to Marvin at MTR Auto, they have always taken care many different various of issues related to vehicles diagnose and repairs. I always will be coming back when the family vehicles need engine repair or tune up. I was a loyal customer to MTR and worked with Marvin for the last 4 years. I went to them for everything from oil changes twice a year to to tire work, and was loyal for several years. In 2020, I went to them for a wheel bearing replacement which I left my car overnight for. They did that and one other thing for $430. I went to them because I trusted them to do honest work. Now, 2 years later, I find out that’s not what they did. I had to go in again to get my other side’s wheel bearing replaced and went to a place which was half the price of MTR. While I was there, they told me that the wheel bearing MTR had done was already on its way out. I don’t use my car for long drives or anything, so I did the math and it had only been 14,700 miles since I had gotten my wheel bearing replaced with MTR. A wheel bearing should last anywhere from 85-100k miles. You can see the huge discrepancy. Not only did they charge me twice as much as the other place, but did poor quality work and stole my money basically. Upon finding out, I called them to talk it out. They did not pick up, nor return my call even after I left a detailed voicemail. They’ve lost a loyal customer of several years and I am honestly disgusted by their poor work ethic and customer service. I do not recommend this place at all.

Marvin and his team got my vehicle mechanically and cosmetically ready in a timely manner. The body work was exceptional. They painted the rear bumper of my vehicle and it looks great. They also repaired my window. I brought the car in on a Wednesday on short notice and had it by Monday regardless of it being a holiday weekend. Thank you MTR.

This is an excellent shop. Had the A/C compressor replaced, front tie rods and brakes replaced, rear shocks replaced, and two front tires all at a reasonable price compared to the dealership or a chain autoshop. Each time we went, the service was done by either the next day or on the same day. One time we took the car in on a Saturday and they went the extra mile to get the parts and do the service that day before they closed so we could have our car to use the rest of the weekend. Thanks to MTR, our 14-year-old Hyundai drives better than when we bought it.

The level of professionalism, honesty and quality of their job is amazing! I have been taking my Jeep to the car several dealerships hoping for great customer service but all of them were rude. From now on anything that my jeep needs will be handle by this team! Thank you! You guys have a customer for life!

Outstanding service, value, and professionalism. I've highly recommended doing business with them to friends and you should go check them out too. Knowledgeable and honest. They will get my repeat business if needed for sure. I've had gasket and belt engine maintenance done, tires, brakes, and air con for my Tacoma in addition to simple tire swap out for my wife' SUV. They haven't led me astray and they've beaten every price quote I've gotten. It seems this team definitely prioritizes long term relationships.

MTR Auto took care of my exhaust install and oil change. They were prompt and were ready for me as soon as I had arrived and was well taken care of and quickly might I add. Great quality work and very professional. I will continue getting my maintenance and any other needed work from here.

MTR Auto Service has been my go to shop every time I need anything done to any of my vehicles. Recently my motor over heated and couldn’t be saved. I had a new motor delivered to the shop and Marvin and his team were able to rebuild the new motor and have it back on the road in the matter of a couple days. I’m extremely satisfied how urgently this shop was able to get my car truck back up and running. I can say my truck runs better then it did before. You can’t just trust any shop to rebuild a motor. Thank you to the team for your hard work.

The customer service is beyond elite at this shop, Marvin provided great service that I've never experience at an auto shop before. Not only did he communicate every step of the way, letting me know every step of the repairs but kept me in the loop as far as pricing and different options. I would like to say he is for his customers, working with a warranty company, initially they declined the repairs but he FOUGHT and FOUGHT for us in the most professional way. He provided the warranty company facts, proof and testimony leaving them no choice but to approve the repairs. I would highly recommend him to all my family, friends and even those in need of any repairs. He is very knowledgeable and provides expertise in his craft/profession. He will definitely be seeing more of my business.

Absolutely great experience going to this business to get an oil change for my car. Fastest and most efficient service I've ever received and they were willing to accommodate my schedule immediately. Very friendly and courteous which is not something you typically get from auto shops. Would highly recommend and will be returning for future services!

Great service. They didn't have the oil filter for my Audi but they were able to get it right away and got me on my way quickly. Also they were able to answer questions on the spot about my other car and quote me for the service. Definitely will be back again.

The service and quality of work here is outstanding. I brought my 2015 Ford focus to have the engine replaced, not only he found me an engine with very low miles but also at a great price, also resurfaced the clutch and replaced all fluids, high quality work, very reasonable rates and very fast work, took only two days to have the job completed. Marvin helped me all the way from having the car towed to the shop to doing safety and emissions. 100% recommended. Excellent customer service.
