Camp Skimino in
Williamsburg Village (VA)

What a wonderful Girl Scout Camp ground. This council works hard with what they have. The girls love this facility and all it has to offer!

This camp’s counselors did not care much about the kids that they were supposed to be watching over and picked favorites. On only the first day someone in my troop got yelled at for not asking to sit at the fire circle. And on one of the last days we were sleeping in an indoor area and one of the troops forgot one of their kids in the room with us while she was meant to sleep in the upstairs area. She was younger so one of us had to tell the counselor that she left one of the kids. The rules are also not the best because we could not have any of our phones with us so we couldn’t talk to our parents unless they sent letters. Although I do kind of understand since if we lose them or they get stolen then they would be responsible. Our troop was one of the older troops, so we were left in the cafeteria to clean up. We had to clean the bathrooms even if we didn’t make the mess. One of the kids had to unclog the toilet after a younger kid clogged it and the counselor told us to clean it up. Would not recommend for your child.

Camp is beautiful and always well maintained.

What a great place and great group of volunteers and staff. Everyone from Mike to Stephanie and all those in-between thanks for the training and experience. Look forward to seeing everyone again at future events.

Everything here for Girl Scouts, Brownies and Daisies. They have canoeing, camping, archery, rock wall, rope climbing, etc.

A nice Girl Scout campground.

The camp is so nice and well kept, we had to leave early since they were expecting horrible weather.

A place for girls ? it's amazing to have our own local campground right here.

It is beautiful! Many upgrades have been done. Some need work but that's outdoor camping needs at any facility.

Wonderful camp that is well maintained. The girls really liked the rock climbing wall and ropes area.

Excellent campground, with obstacle courses, canvas tents, and hiking trails.

We took our troop of 14 D/B and stayed in the ennmeier center. I think it was the best night of their lives. They had so much fun on the low ropes course and the building was perfect. Plenty of space for crafts/games/ sleeping. Ranger Mike definitely takes pride in keeping the camp in great shape. Will be returning ASAP!

Love every bit of Camp Skimino, Ranger Mike had really made many great improvements. Great place for day visit or camping over night for all ages.

My daughter attended summer camp here for a week and loved it! I'm sure this will be part of the rich tapestry of her childhood memories for years to come

This is one of my most favorite Girl Scout Camp. It's amenities can't be beat. It clean, affordable and convenient. Ranger Mike is the best. We will be returning!

I enjoyed camping with my Girl Scouts but felt the facilities were a little dated and need to be deep cleaned more often. Not as nice as Camp Darden. Ranger was not too friendly and lots of extra rules for check out. Not interested in returning.

Camp Skimino is amazing! The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. The property is beautiful. Although you are right in the heart of Williamsburg, you definitely feel like you are a world away!

My troop and I had so much fun when we went to this camp. They even provide mats to sleep on in the tents and houses!

Great facility. Convenient to Richmond. During the Fall it's quiet so our troop had the run of the place!
