They don’t have fitting rooms here. I don’t shop at thrift stores where I can’t try on the clothes I’m trying to buy.

Smaller store, good variety. Some prices a little high for what it is & the condition.

Wow! I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this! This places has a wonderful selection of anything you could imagine. I’m an avid thrifter/antique hunter and I loved this place! Silver dishes, name brand clothing, big solid wood pieces, nice collection of miscellaneous things. Cool place!! 🙂

Staff is nice, use to be a great place to shop, but lately over the past few months everything worth while is priced way to high. Most is either priced retail, or way over retail. This is suppose to be a thrift store.

Waaaayyyyyyy overpriced!! These items were donated, and the items are priced three times what they should be.

Very crowded even for a Saturday. But you never know what they have, so come and take a look! :)

The items are organized on the racks. My fellow vacationers and I were able find some great bargains at this store. The fact that it supports veterans is a plus.

sold me a HUGE box of legos for 100$, I was/still am ecstatic, some full sets and lots of mini figures. Totally made my money back, HOWEVER, as I was digging through it I found out that a third of the box (At the very bottom) was stuffed with old (What seem to be) thrift items that hadn’t sold, foam blocks, yarn, inflated balls, ECT. I’m not too happy about the fact they might (I have no proof besides the fact the stuff was in the typical DAV plastic bags) have stuffed the box to make it look more full than it actually was. I know I could return it, but again, I’m very happy with the contents aside from that. So just be aware and always check bulk boxes to make sure they are not stuffed.

I really enjoy coming to this store. They always have something that catches my eye. Great customer service too. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and helped me when I asked for jewelry. The jewelry case is at the front register.

The staff is always kind and relatable. I find much cooler items here than the other more popular thrift stores in williamsburg. 100% recommend, this store has been a staple since I was a kid!!

The workers and managment engage in favoritism and price according to like and dislikes of customers. Do not follow their own store policy The managment is very unfrendly this store lacks a touch of professionalism and its a shame considering that its all donations and its supposedly benefitting Vets I witness the manager tellin a customer to leave the store after the customer voiced her discontent . I was appaled by the manager losing a sale rather than make the customer happy

I came from out of state to visit family and stopped in. There were 2 items I was thrilled to find and I was there 15-20 minutes before they opened. There was someone else looking at the items as well. I set them by my vehicle and took the tags off so I could go inside immediately and pay for them when they opened their doors. Being on a very fixed income I was over the moon that I would be able to afford to get what I have been needing! As soon as an employee showed up I told her what I had done and she raised her voice at me and told me I’m a thief and I was stealing. That the items shouldn’t have been moved until I paid. She humiliated me infront of my mom and cousin and when I apologized and reiterated that I was waiting by the door so that I could pay she reiterated that I am a thief and I’m lucky she wasn’t going to prosecute me today. I was utterly humiliated as I held back tears. I apologized repeatedly and she scoffed at me at shut the door and locked it. I put the items back with the tags and left. I held back tears because I didn’t want to embarrass myself further. I am a daughter of a veteran and I was a wife of a veteran for almost 16 years. Even though I will be back to the area to visit family and we love thrift store shopping together, I will never return.

I was at your store today Oct 24th putting together my Halloween costume and the manager took all the items I had gathered together after over an hour of searching for everything and put all of it away and when i asked what happened she was so rude to me acting like it was my fault the stuff got put back cause I laid it out on one of the couches to see how it looked together then she expected me to search for everything again People saw me gathering that stuff, it was obvious someone was putting together an outfit, my cart was right to it, I don't know how this lady got to be manager but it doesn't seem like she cares about her customers or at least not this one

Went here one time several months ago and would not recommend and won’t be back. They do have a lot of clothes to offer but they have permanently closed down their dressing rooms. It’s no longer the Covid pandemic. I understand a lot of thrift stores are deciding to do that because unfortunately people are stealing things. What gets me is their return policy. They only allow 30 returns and they don’t give you a refund but instead they give you store credit. If it was a different kind of store that always has things stocked and I shopped there regularly it would be fine but when it comes to a thrift store you never know if you will be able to find something. I would be out that money. So after taking my time and filling my cart up with clothes only to discover that by a rude employee, I put the clothes back and left. It’s unfortunate because I love thrift stores and have shopped at another DAV location before and hadn’t had a problem there and I appreciate service members and now they will be getting less money to support them

Disappointed with this DAV located in Williamsburg. My local DAV is really well managed so this was so sad. The store’s selection was down right bad (in my opinion) ranging from 2010 office wear to stripe button ups. Everything was also entirely cramped making it difficult to go around people and causing blockades. I ended up choosing just a pair of pjs but my wait time in line was just about double the time I was looking. Some of the staff was friendly some were not. The prices were also higher than any thrift stores I’ve been to. I don’t really recommend this place if you’re trying to find some nice items.

This was disappointing. Drove down from Chesterfield to hit the thrift , consignment and antique stores in Williamsburg and I wouldn't bother visiting this place again. I go for the household items and while they did have some nice stuff, it was all about double the price of other thrift stores. For instance in Goodwill sets of dishes will be priced as a set and I've averaged getting nice plates and bowls for less than $1 each. In this store, dishes were priced individually and ran about $2 each. I saw framed prints that ran about $30 each, again much more expensive than other thrift stores. The store is over-packed, mainly with cloths and the aisles feel very crowded. There was one section of clothes that smelled horrible. I assume they do not wash the clothes before selling them. I'm sure their excuses for the outrageous prices are the same as others, "but we're raising money for a good cause". Sick of hearing that when they get their merchandise for free.

Three times I’ve tried donating here and every time there’s no one to receive the donation. Even the goodwill manages that. I don’t expect anyone to unload my car for me or anything like that but don’t ask me to leave electronics and other stuff out in the rain. When you go inside to ask about it, the cashiers look at you like they have no idea what you’re talking about. Also, and this is just insult to injury, they leave stuff outside in all weather. Especially furniture, indoor, outdoor, plastic, wood, upholstery whatever. It’s left out in the rain and they expect you to pay full price for it.

The check out area is very crowded. They had a big table right in front of the checkout which made making a line very hard. The aisles are really small so it's hard for more than one person with a cart to be on the aisle at a time. I feel like the store is to small to have furniture in it because it takes up so much room. If they want to sell furniture they need to price it so it moves quickly. Prices are starting to creep up as well. Saw a pair of dress pants for 12 dollars. I can get brand new ones for same or less. They have a lot of books also. Maybe if they lowered the price to 1.00 each no matter if it is paperback or hardback more would sell. Just a hard store to shop at with how crowded full of stuff it is.

Great clothing prices and friendly staff. Tight small space store, avoid using a cart if you can, the aisles are too small. Wonderful adult clothing selection (not many childrens) and they sort by size!! (I personally hate when you have to go through racks and racks of every size by color!) Will visit again when I'm in the area.

Great thrift store with some pretty decent deals. Get there earlier to be able to appreciate the choices. ***On a side note, do NOT expect a good signal on your phone while your there*** --- early am visits, not the best. Actually many thrift stores aren't the best when first opener, just have prior merchandise out. Especially Saturdays--- aim just a little later then opening, but results do vary :)

This is the BEST thrift store ever. I have furnished almost my entire home from this store over the last year since moving to the area. Their clothes are great too. High quality stuff. Rarely any dirty/trashed items. They have excellent sales like 20% furniture on certain days. I have to say something that bothers me though... I feel like they don't trust their customers. There are a few examples of this but the one that rubs me the wrong way is if you are using a credit card, they will remove your card from the slot themselves and not let you pay until you present ID. Even for a 2 dollar transaction. If you don't want customers swiping their own cards, don't put the machine on our side of the counter. It's a bit over the top. Also it's time to open the dressing rooms back up.

I know thrift stores can be hit or miss based on what they have at the time, but my sister bought a new, almost complete wardrobe (about 8 nice dresses for work a couple jackets and a few shirts) and I found four really nice plus size shirts, which are hard to find in thrift stores, and with a 49 cent roll of high quality wrapping paper our total was only $80! The store is nice, clean, and fairly well organized and there were only a few things I felt like they were asking too much for, though the had a sign up that if you see something overpriced, wait a few weeks and if it doesn't sell, they'll lower the price. This is a definite one to return to next time I'm in the area!

Good selection of books. Had a smell to the place . They had several school text books. Lots of bric and brac and clothes.

I come here VERY OFTEN! Now I will say that on the whole part, items are overpriced. However, they do have a .99 cent rack for each clothing department and daily specials. Small furniture items are priced pretty cheap and the staff there is SUPER NICE!! They also offer a 7 day return policy on electronics with a receipt for store credit :) I've found quiet a few great deals here, love the DAV!

DAV thrift is great for good deals. Their prices are always reasonable and the staff is friendly. I love coming here. That being said, the building itself has a musty odor that really irritates my allergies. I want to give DAV a higher rating, but the odor makes it difficult for me to shop here. If you don't have allergies, this is a great thrift.
