Awful place to go prices are inconsistent and the superintendent in charge matt is such an unprofessional jerk its unreal along with some of the other employees

Prices are not consistent. I had similar loads for all 3 trips. First two times I was charged around $12, the third time it doubled. Pricing really depends on who you run into up front.

Everyone was courteous, patient, and professional there from Corey to Tim, even the heavy equipment operator was patient at the end of their working day when I’m sure they were ready to pack up and go home. 5-stars all the way.

(Some)Rude staff. Facility is clean, convenient, and handy. However, the staff are a mixed bag. I have had multiple occasions where the customer service has been negative. One occasion the worker called me a derogatory word and another worker yelled at me aggressively. Both occasions did not merit this kind of unpleasantness. To be fair, I've also had positive experiences with a couple workers. It's just a mixed bag of nuts there - good luck.

They are always so helpful and a great place to bring your items.

Recycling center! Easy in and out, helpful and friendly staff.

Very convenient location with helpful, friendly staff who educate you on how the site works. Very reasonable pricing compared to other options. This is one of JCC’s better run services.

Very rude staff. I felt like I was doing a good thing by taking items to the recycling center. But when I arrived, all I received was a belittling lecture from the staff about what I can and cannot recycle. The staff should be trained to be more accommodating and friendly. It doesn't matter to me if the staff is frustrated with explaining rules every day. Its my first time, and if you want people to return you need to be more considerate.

The pricing is very inconsistent. And last week they apparently raised prices which is now double what it used to be. A few of the employees are friendly and knowledgeable, while the others are extremely rude and complain about closing time. This is a county operated trash center! Why are prices so high and where are our tax dollars going!!!!

The staff there is GOD-awful. I was moving and needed to weigh my truck. They turned me away and said they wouldn’t accept any form of payment after I mentioned I was moving with the Air Force. If I could give 0 stars, I would. If you need to weigh/dump anything, go to Love’s Truck stop in Providence Forge (PF) or somewhere in Newport News. ADDITIONALLY: Their blatant disregard has cost us more money in mileage and more time spent moving back and forth PF and Williamsburg (2 hours round trip rather than the 20 mins planned).

Been going here for years and they have an employee who gets irate if you show up near closing time complaining about the hours. Please don't accept the job if the hours bother you. We all have things to do not just that one guy.

Well organized area for disposal of large items, based on content. Very pleasant team members, providing fair assessments and clear instructions for sorting and depositing items in various bins.

The guys were very nice and David was very helpful unloading the mattresses. Thank you very much for your help

To who it may concern!! My trash wasn’t dumped on the 14th which was Valentine’s Day my called and asked why it wasn’t dumped. The person said my service was canceled in December. But I paid $125 in December to restore service. If that was th case the my trash shouldn’t have been dumped but my last dump was on the 7th of February 2022. So Yesterday I called and there was a reschedule for my trash to be dumped yesterday. Why is my trash still sitting in front of the house FULL?! I’m not understanding and it Wednesday the 16th!.. Everyday it’s not Dumped I will write a review!! This is the WORST WASTE company I have ever had service from!!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Who designs a facility where you have to back up to a wall and lift items up and over a wall to dump them from a pickup truck? Then they stuff the recycling containers over in a small corner. Not sure why the word convenience is even used in the name of this location because it is far from it.

The guy at the front was super nice, told me exactly what to do and it was reasonable for a whole truck load full of miscellaneous trash. They also take cards which is insanely convenient.

Very inconsistent in pricing. I limbed up all the trees in my yard and have made several trips over the last couple of weekends. I was charged 2 coupons or $8 each trip. Today they said $12. The load was no bigger than before. When I complained he said ok, $10. WTH! The are to dump limbs had not been cleaned all day or longer causing a back up because it was spilling out into the drive thru area.

Grate place, everyone nice besides the scale lady, she always have an attitude even my first time and I was just asking how the scale process works.

jenny is extremely rude and i do not appreciate her behavior, other than that all other employees are very kind and good at their job. very convenient and well kept dump!

This is a good resource. I visited frequently with boxes emptied as we settled into our new home. The staff is pleasant and ensures no log jams at the various dumping areas. Nicely decorated too.

As a first time visitor of this facility I can say that I didn't have a great experience. Arriving at the front gate I was directed up the hill to the scale where I would be able to unload being I was in a commercial dump truck. As I pull around not really knowing where I was going I saw the scale and pulled up to it so my weight could be measured. The lady at the window had a bad attitude from the get go and just flat out rude. She explained that since the company I worked for didn't have an account it would be $190+ to dump there. I then proceeded to call my boss to ask if we wanted to pay that ridiculous amount and he declined. So as I drove off I saw the lady in the window with the worst grimace on her face throwing her hands up in the air. Obviously I was leaving and not paying the overpriced charge. Not everyone knows how the procedures and protocol work especially their first time there. Was not a pleasant experience and would not recommend to anyone. Rude service+overpriced= Business failure.

Different employees charge vastly different amounts for identical load type & size. Standardize your prices and stop scamming. Criteria should be clearly established and enforced consistently.

Very pleasant team manning this clean and organized drop off center. Had my doggy barking up a storm in back when a team member came over with a large Milkbone. Now she wants to go all the time!

I visited once with a carful of debris and was charged 4 coupons. About 2 weeks later, I visited with even more debris and they charged me 1 coupon. No rhyme or reason on the charging, but the place sure comes in handy when needed.

The guy at the front was nice and helpful...but if u go down towards the drop off scale part, it goes down hill from thier. We where new to the drop off scale area and was only told how to get thier. So we mad a mistake by not staying on the scale and the lady, whom ever she was, just be having a bad day, but had an attitude about the mistake, as if we just destroyed her day. Also maybe if the lights worked, and showed us that we had to stop....but it did'nt. Not everyone understands how or what your supposed to do if thiers no sign or if the traffic light worked on the scale. Then 100% would understand why she had attitude about the whole situation. She needs training on people skills because they are non existing, her attitude was trash. I would 100 percent give this place a 5 star but because of her. Three and it would have been a 1star review if not for the only person that has people skills was at the front. And man that's sad. I guess that's why she's in the back. Would I recommend this place...yes, but not if u want a lady to ruin your day

Super convenient drop off! Staff was super friendly. Great experience!!

Very kind and helpful employees. When I had difficulty removing things from the car, they were so willing to help out.
