Like with all businesses. Sometimes you don't have the best experience. One time or another overall, these are not crooks. They paid a very fair price if you paid attention to the markets. And there are good people that work there. Sometimes, we're just as irritating as customers as we feel the business is being to us.(I'm severely ADHD spazy guy who asks too many questions, and I'm always late. so, thanks for putting up with me!) 🤷‍♂️✌️That's the beauty of working with actual humans. Enjoy that while you/we still can. regardless it's a good place close to home and the only option in miles! Lol but Grass isn't always greener! I'm happy you guys are here🙂 ( life is too short for the amount of time wasted on reviews so you can revisit your negative experience and feel like you've punished someone properly. I mean some people do suck but I didn't vote for him and he doesn't take reviews very well)

I have a hole company and I get metal contracts I’m young and black Why I come to drop off metal and they tell me the police came looking for me and they can by no metal from manages never talk to me that they clam talk to me.yall using yall right to refuse customers but don’t lie on me I face allot been successful thank you

This place don’t even give you half of the money for your materials. They steal your products. I took some freezer coil they gave me $12 for it, I took the same exact kind of coil elsewhere and got $64, that time I found out I got screwed at this place.

I went at 3pm on Friday 05/17, but no one was there to help me. One of the workers told me they were closed and that no one was in the office. Thanks for wasting 40 mins of my time.

By far the most friendliest service out there. They pay better prices than most in the area. The best part are the people there are knowledgeable. Update 2024!! If you read reviews to places before you go there, this should be the one you use. I've made over 100 trips to this yard in the last 2 years. The prices are extremely competitive. They will help unload your truck at the shred pile, as well as, throw any non ferrous stuff back into your truck for the smaller scales. If you use the smaller scales, it helps to have your stuff sorted ahead of time to make the trip faster.

Sent my crew there this afternoon with an all aluminum sign 7’ X 28’ only to get ripped off, should have seen other reviews first about these guys being so dishonest, called them to complain, no answer or call back, sent them an email and no reply, please be aware, attaching receipt and the pic of the sign

Me and my son came a month ago and brought a car battery and a brand new car radiator and got only 4 dollars for one and 5 for the other. I think y’all giving cheap prices. Told my son to take the next batteries back and get his twelve dollars. I think the guys are nice but stealing this prices And not giving the right Weight.

I would never bring my scrap metal here again. The prices are not good at all, and they tried to put all my material as the same one. Even though I know how to classify my scrap. If I could give them a 0 star review I totally would

Good experience for the first time visiting. I had to drop off some scrap like aluminum, stainless steel, and some mixed metal items. They weighed each of the items and I took a ticket to the pay booth. The first time you go they give you a recycling card with your driver's license. Easy process and didn't take long.

I don’t know who can talk bad about this place, the ladies at the weight station are great and the guys taking in the scraps are helpful. The customers that complain are the ones that don’t want to do the work and divide the materials, you do the work you make the money. GREAT JOB NATIONAL!!!!

If I could give it zero I would. They wanted to lump all of my type 1 and 2 brass and copper together and to type 2 brass cuz it wasn't separated which is ridiculous. Every other scrap yard I've been to we separate on site they only get away with this cuz they're the only scrap yard in the Katy area I will be going to Astro City from now on The drive is worth it

Terrible prices , they went from $3 a pound of copper wire to $2 to now $1.60 a pound. If you want to get what you should be getting go somewhere else , this place is scamming people

This place is a pure scam!!! They don't pay you for dirty brass prices they pay you 40 cents a lb as aluminum and it's a scam!!! And they won't give you your scrap back if you don't agree.. Do yourself a favor and go to ASTRO CITY SCRAP SO YOUR NOT SCAMMED BY THESE CON ARTISTS!!!!

Not bad I guess, don’t really know anything about scrap metal places. This was like my second time at one and this particular spot was my first visit. Only thing that went wrong was when I was driving into the place getting ready to get on the scale, a piece of rebar got jammed/stuck under my truck. Guess it fell off the back of one of the other trucks from earlier! Possibly could have punctured something but after inspection of my truck everything looked good. Just threw the rebar on the back of my truck for a few extra cents!

Fairly well organized, If they are busy, you will have to wait in line, twice if you have mixed metals, not a big deal. For alloys, give yourself extra time for processing and establishing payment. Payment rate is very fair😁

I brought 200lbs of a bunch of non-ferrous 4/0 aluminum wire, a bunch of old copper wire, and the rest scrap. They only gave me .10¢/lb flat rate for all of it. I brought 140lbs of mostly scrap with a smaller amount of copper and aluminum to the scrapyard in Sealy. (I live in Katy, but have been doing work in Sealy.) They actually paid me separately for the copper and aluminum. This place doesn't do that. I wound up being paid $5 more for a lot less. Won't be returning.

This place is so honest, I’ve been to this place twice and everytime they give me great pay: There are even guys who helps unload everything for you as well.

Would love to say something positive but I have been there 3 different times during the day on 3 separate days and they were not open! Wish I knew the days and times they were open, don't trust the website for hours of operation.

I called around and they had the best rates. Brought in some old scrap I had in the garage. The people were real nice and unloaded everything for me. I will be back on my next clean up.

These guys are awesome they waited for me on a Saturday. Even though they were closed. Bring them your scrap great people.

Great spot! It’s nice having a location like this local. Pulled in and was taken care of promptly and efficiently. Payout was great and made the first time process simple. Also have a BBQ truck on-site was an added bonus! Great Job!
