Transferred a truck to my nephew and they charged $324( plate but no tax). Purchased a car in Roaring Spring last week and the notary there did same service for $180( $60 was tax) . Will never use of recommend this place ever. 4 yrs. ago their prices were cheap. Don't know what happened
I was just there and I had my one year-old with me I had to put her down for a second and she got some dirt out of the plant and put it on the floor I asked the lady for a vacuum and she said no she had it we were trying to do a bill of sale and she asked us to go we weren’t being rude and it was extremely unprofessional never had problems I’ve always had a guy in there very kind and friendly with children there was no one else there but us she got frustrated because she told us there was a duplicate title and when I called the other place we transferred when we bought it and they said that there shouldn’t be she got mad because the notary suggested a form and she didn’t wanna do it as long as she’s there I wouldn’t recommend going the one by Lakemont extremely unwelcoming and straight attitude she clearly doesn’t like her job because she acted miserable
By far the worst public place I have ever dealt with. They charge you for stuff without telling you, and they are extremely extremely extremely rude. They charged me to look up a plate and didn't tell me they were gonna charge me to look something up, took them 2 seconds.
My experience here has been excellent, with friendly service and reasonable rates. I travel 45 minutes from Bedford county to Altoona where you can find something professional rather than bad attitudes and high prices at other similar businesses.
I actually didn't get to purchase anything. Seems I was not eligible for my registration that day and was informed by the young man who waited on me . He explained my options clearly and didn't charge me even though he printed off some documents for me. Will be revisiting when the time is right.
Stoped into day for a plate for my scooter no issues 5he guy that helped me out qas very nice and knowledgeable of things grwst place to go if you want fast service
It is very hard to give this place even one star!! My elderly mother who is recently widowed went into this establishment to get a copy of her title in order to process an application to remove her deceased husband from her car registration. They took advantage of an 89 year old women offering to “assist” her. They then told her the “fee” from the state is $120. When in reality there is no charge from the state with a MV-39 form from PennDot which was already completed. The “fee” was their charge which was not explained to her. They also unnecessarily charged her for new plates telling her she could be fined with the original plates on the car. Also not true per PennDot representative. When I contacted them the young lady who answered the phone readily acknowledged that my mother had been there, even mentioning that she was tearful. I was in the process of explaining that there is in fact no fee from the state for changing the registration and title for a deceased souse with joint ownership when she promptly hung up on me. They are obviously very dishonest and have no problem being deceitful and financially abusive to the elderly. Bottom line, my elderly mother was charged $110 to complete a process that requires no fee from PennDot after going into get a copy of her title. All I can say is that I would avoid doing business with this establishment as they do not seem very honest.
I have done business here several times over the years. Tonight I was treated so rudely by the female working. She was very unsure of her job and had to call for help on the phone several times. She refused to accept my proof of insurance and told me “There’s the door if you don’t like it. We sure to hell don’t need your business!” After requesting several times to speak to her boss, she called him and sounded like a teenager whining. I spoke with her boss who assisted in the rest of our transaction. Maybe you don’t need my business, but I am not the only person who uses notary services.
