I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Anything you get done there, you can do elsewhere for less than half the price. I had an oil change and an inspection, and I paid $258. That’s insane and unbelievable. I honestly felt ripped off.
Had a 2022 Audi sq7 for a 60k mile service! Very knowledgeable staff, attention to detail and seems to be very good in foreign makes! Def will bring my other vehicles here!

Danny and his team did a great job recommending a brand for all purpose tires, as well as inspecting the car, finding an issue with the struts and providing me with a real cool coil over in its place for a great price. Now my car won't be losing control when it snows, and they cleaned it up as well! Highly recommend this group as they care about your vehicle as well as providing with the best bang for your buck.

I used Staten Island Auto Repair for a Pre Purchase Inspection. Danny was through and honest with the inspection. I felt very comfortable with his recommendations and I will be going back if needed. Highly Recommend.
Work is average and expensive. They will try to sell you things you don’t need like brakes even though I replaced them in the last year. Then they weren’t interested in taking the car back for problems they didn’t fix but certainly charged for. Wheel alignment was all out of whack and the persistent vibration on the front R wheel was still present. I took my car to Olympia down the road—they immediately identified the problem with the wheel and fixed it at a fair price. Didn’t happen to “find” other problems either.
Edit: I don’t have the wrong business. You’re expensive and you didn’t take accountability when the steering wheel was misaligned after a wheel alignment. A week had passed and you basically told me I was too late. NEWSFLASH, a lot of people don’t drive often in New York. You’re also incompetent, failing to fix a hum/vibration on the front right wheel on two separate occasions. I took my car to Olympia 2.5 miles away (figuratively down the road) and they fixed your steering wheel mistake AND figured out what was causing the vibration… I didn’t even ask them to look at the that. Shows what a good mechanic can actually do.
Don’t think you serviced my car? Look it up, 2013 ford Taurus SHO. I hope the smell of that dead cat in my engine still stings your nostrils.
I consider bringing my car to Island Car Care and so relieved knowing the severity of the damaged that was averted by Danny and his team! Danny goes above and beyond to take care of you & your car. He makes sure to explain absolutely everything, starting with what your car needs, what to expect, how long it will take etc. I used to always get worried/stressed out about getting car repairs, but this place literally takes all those worries and stress off your shoulders. Nice team at Island Car Care. This was my first time not going to the dealer. I went in for annual service and a couple minor issues for my 2019 Volvo XC60. Very good experience, they addressed everything. I am glad to have a reliable auto center to go to! Definitely recommend.
An AAA approved location, the team there took great care of our almost 10yr vehicle. Car was ready on time even with the additional issues this poor car needed. Polite, friendly and responsive to questions, Danny clearly explained what they were doing with the vehicle to ensure that a layperson understood. This is our car's new primary care physician. Danny and his service men are amazing! I don't know much about cars, but I never have to worry about that when I go there because I trust their knowledge and experience... my 2024 mini cooper had to be serviced with new brakes and rotors ...Danny went over all the options... We opted for the best of the best. And I feel like my car runs better then it did when when I first purchased my car!!!! That says alot!!!... If you're looking for great trustworthy, reliable service men for your vehicle don't pass this place up!!!
Danny and his staff are truly too shelf people. Attentive, knowledgeable, don't try and up-sell you. They're the kind of business I'll be coming back to for years, because they make sure to take care of your car in a way that's not just some quick make a buck fix. They take pride in their work and it shows.

Island Car Care is a great place. Danny the owner and his mechanics are friendly, professional and attentive. My 80 year old mom had a dead battery on a freezing rainy December day. I came over to help her. I first went to a car repair on Fingerboard and Bay Street. They blew me off saying they were too busy and couldn’t come until next week. I called Island Car Care and Danny sent men over within 10 minutes. They got the car started and then offered to replace the old battery at the shop. Within an hour my mom’s car was running and they even did a complimentary check of fluids and brakes. Great experience I would definitely use them again.
I will like to take this time Danny's auto shop the service was amazing. Danny kept me posted on my car situation I felt like my car was in good hand. Danny show me my old parts explain what was going with car. My car feels like a new car 🚗 I am very happy about the service I can go on and on. Can’t say enough positive things about this place. Absolutely stellar. First off I’ll say I’m extremely picky as to who touches my car as I usually do my own work to them but due to a recent spinal surgery, unfortunately I can’t do anything that involves heavy lifting or work. And let me tell you, Danny and his crew were extremely professional, personable and considerate. I brought them a drivers side axle and a set of sway bar end links to install on my Honda on a random Thursday afternoon and it was done same day within 2-3 hours. Very high quality work and very fast turn around times and the price on the labor was very reasonable. Keeping my 360k mile 1999 honda odyssey alive one piece at a time. Thank you so much for the great experience! Will definitely be back in the future for the next project.
My work van needed service and I tried a few places before calling Island Car Care. As soon as I told Danny what I needed he said you could bring it in and his guys will take a look at it right away. He was extremely professional and courteous, we even talked outside for a bit about our spirituality. Great shop ran by a great dude. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5 stars!!!!!!!
Island Car Care was recommended by a friend I called. I spoke to the owner Danny, who is very helpful. He took my car right away and he said he would check it out and get back to me everything he said he would He followed through and did it on time.
He also let me know that my car was going to take longer than I had anticipated sent me to a car rental place nearby told them that he had recommended me to go there so that I would be able to get a discount which you really didn’t have to do but he did.
Before I had gone to the rental agent, they had driven me to a friends house that was nearby until it could be determined that I did really need a rental that was gonna take longer than I had anticipated.
When there were some complications He let me know exactly what was going on and when things would be done right up to the hour when I could pick that car up, everything went smoothly and I had a feeling of confidence and there’s some things that still need to be worked on and down the road I’ll be going there And will recommend him to my friends.
Im here servicing my Company car right now and i can tell you all the bad reviews are bullshit liars, this will be my 3rd time here. All these 5 star reviews should tell you something! They are an amazing shop and very honest hard working people. If anyone has any doubts come here and see for yourself. I am so happy that i decided to stop here the first time for maintenance on my vehicle a couple of years back. There will always be people out there that you cant please no matter what you do. But its a sin to give these guys a bad review with this amazing service. Keep up the good work guys,will def be bringing my cars here for any repairs needed!
