Rich is very knowledgeable, honest, and focused on making sure you receive the service you requested and that your vehicle is safe. As for his honesty, a few times Rich has told me I didn't need services I asked for, but when I did need them - he'd let me know. We've been bringing our cars to Rich for 15 years and have always received great service from him and his wife Judy. We've recommended DNR Auto to several of our neighbors and they had similar positive experiences. I’ve been going here for over five years . I cannot be happier . Very honest and great work . They explain things so I can understand what’s going on . Receptionist very welcoming . After one month my car was stil at the shop the guy use to be good but now they are guessing on thats the problem 4 time . To tell me 4 different times part that need to be replace
Let me begin by apologizing to Richie from DNR Auto in So. Plainfield NJ for giving a negative review for parts replacement on my 2010 Eqinox. I took vehicle to the dealer and the only thing I heard was I needed to replace calisthenics converter. I was upset thinking Richie didnt do repairs when in fact he actually did. I found the receipt and realize it's two calisthenics converter on this vehicle. Please accept my apologies and continue to do great service.
Ritchie and his lovely wife are caring and professional. He took care of all my car troubles. I recently found our that he didn't replace the caliber convert on my 2010 chevrolet equinox which I paid to have replaced. It surprised me because I built a trusted in him. It was recently replaced and the original caliber converter was still attached. Disappointing.
I’ve been going to another auto shop in town for years and had to replace my tires but after getting an absurd quote, I decided to shop around and Richie gave me a decent and reasonable price for comparable tires. Ever since, I’ve been bringing my cars in to see Richie for any repair/issue, knowing full well that i would be getting an honest opinion, best service, reliable fix and best price.
I was driving to pick up groceries with my baby in the car. As I was driving I heard a noise as I was half way to the grocery store which was only 2 miles from home. However Ritchie heard my car making noise at the light in front of his shop and told me my exhaust was dragging. I was so worry because I had my baby in the car. He told me to pull in and he will take care of it. I was so grateful! Him and his lovely wife made a nerve wrecking experience calming. He replaced the piece I needed and I was back on the road. I truly appreciate what they did for me and highly recommended them!
Ritchie was referred by my brother (who is a mechanic) as the only person he would trust. Richie took my car immediately when it died. 2012 Hyundai Veloster stalling and then not engaging into gear… Richie diagnosed and repaired the problem first time when I’ve heard horror stories about dealerships not finding this particular issue. Judy at the desk is wonderful… I highly recommend D&R Auto Care and will definitely be using them again…

Use caution dealing with this shop. I brought my vehicle here due to the good reviews but at least in my experience they were very misleading. Shady repair shop. The man had my car for 2 months and a couple thousand later never fixed my car. Paid rich for nothing literally. Wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy and I am also now looking into taking my dispute to court. Please avoid this headache for yourself would give negative stars if i could...update my vehicle was never fixed if you want to get screwed and give a scummy dude your money for free knock yourself out bud
My truck literally broke down in front of this shop how convenient! But not convenient for my pockets he charged me $600 for an alternator which went out on me 3 months later! I’m not sure if he replace it or Just did a temporary fix
Rich is a great guy! Very respectful and very professional. You can tell he takes pride in his work and his customer service. He is now our family mechanic!

Talks to you without talking down to you . Let's you know what problem is , what kind of cost etc. Plus he is a New York Giants Fan like me .. makes him best mechanic ever !!
I have taken all 3 family vehicles here for service, from tires to oil changes, a/c, brakes, etc. Work is high quality and you can trust what he tells you needs to be done. Was told by PEP boys there was a A/C problem. He tested the system and everything was 100% fine. He tested AC unit temp and pressure. PEP boys who knows how they made that call.
Richie has the old fashioned business ethic, of insisting you be satisfied with his work, no matter what he has to do. I have brought him my personal vehicles and he fixes things I didn't know were broken, at a reasonable prices. Yes he is not the fastest, quality takes time. He even took a vehicle off the lift, so he could fix a flat tire on the ambulance I was trying to get back into service. He even donated his labor to help us repair the door and fender on an ambulance that had a mishap when a tow truck backed into it.
