I purchased a battery at Auto zone, they instructed to return my old one. When i came back I had misplaced my receipt, a worker here was able to trace my receipt with my phone number. She wanted to give my refund to the card i purchased it with but I explained I no longer had access to that card. Instead of helping me they sent me on my way and told me to keep my battery. I went to the PISCATAWAY location, amazing 10/10, solved my issue for me in under 5 mins.
My initial visit today with Jason was ok even though I had to wait for 15 minutes to be helped and left with a battery that would possibly fit my Jeep instead of what definitely would. The H7 or the H8. 7 wasn't it. I brought it back to exchange it as Jason instructed, but he was busy. I ended up with Fernando. Hhhhh. Much to my chagrin, Fernando speaks 4 English words and understands fewer including the difference between an exchange and a return. After I explained to him what I needed, he stared at me like a deer in headlights. Jason came over and translated. Fernando performed a return which meant the money would not go back onto my card for 3-5 days. At first, Jason tried to tell me that they had to do a return because the SKU was different. Sir...professional shopper here...I called BS. Once the manager came over and realized what happened, she tried to tell me it was because of the price difference. Ma'am...the price is exactly the same. She reluctantly confirmed that it was and apologized. She offered to charge my old battery for me. I declined because I was trying to get out of there without becoming a trending video for jumping on Fernando's head and knocking everything off the counter. I was so angry. It's not Fernando's fault that I over spent during the holidays and barely had enough to purchase the battery to begin with, but why can't you understand me and why don't you know how to properly exchange an item? The wait time in this location is horrendous and unless you are fluent in Spanish, it's hit or miss. I will take the extra 8 mile drive out of my town or use Advanced Auto next time. I'm completely disgusted.
Charly was awesome!!!! He gets a 5 star. I needed a new battery and he was kind to take my battery out, he didn’t have to render me that help but he did and he gave a discount. Thanks Charly keep giving the awesome customer service. It truly made a difference with me!!! Your awesome!!!
Store manager Natasha has a very bad attitude. She definitely needs in services or training. She is not helpful and this is my second encounter with her and both have been the same. I had no issues with the other staff very kind and helpful.
Very bad service at this store. I went to make several purchases and when it was time to return a replacement part, the store manager named Natasha Ali treated me very poorly! The replacement part was not removed from the box when I made the return due to a confusion. They only returned a part to my card. I will have to wait months since I opened a dispute with my bank for them to contact that store. I do not recommend this person at all; she is very despotic when it comes to serving. (Autozone 01155)
This people no wants collaboration with the costumer and Charly the MG I ask question for $5 when you sign for your email and they no help me buying stuff and the employees they look mad you at they rude . That not professional them . I’m so sad no one can’t help because they say they can fix things 8 am to 4 pm that no fair and they say they no have light and come early you should hiring people more nice and helped us or just close your store and put other manager they can help .
This store has ignorant workers & when I ask for a manager because they wouldn't let us return a three hundred and eleven dollar car part that wasn't even opened yet because we didn't have the card that we purchased it with anymore because of fraud being on it. We had to cancel the card, so they're telling me that they can't do the return at all. It's disgusting. This world is making it impossible for people to live. I'm so sick of it & I SURELY will be going to advanced auto from now on.They make things so much easier. && they're 99.9% pleasant.
Don't go here w a return, man. Im telling you. Always an issue, SMH.
Oh, & the manager doesn't know a goshdarn thing about GOOD customer service & better yet, she aint even about to care.
I love coming here always willing to help and easy to get along with!! I needed a right side caliper not only did she go get one for she dropped it off to my mechanic as well!! I appreciate the customer service!!
Manager Natasha refused to sell my husband a part. He thought he was able to use his immediate family’s employee discount which she gave him a hard time about. But then refused to even sell him the part at all, even without using the discount. Nasty, miserable and rude.
I wish I could give a lower rating. I ordered my part online... got conformation not even 10 min. later it was canceled. Why have it say you have it in store but it's not.. someone isn't doing they're job. Called and asked about it and just got attitude from 3 different people so now I have to wait to get my money and out of my car part.. which could've been avoided if the job was done.. I knew the plainfield location was trash.
My son and I go to this Auto zone because my grandson Donny works there but even without that perk, we love this store. Always had great service. Shout out & thanks to manager Natasha who was friendly and helpful. Found the staff to be terrific and helped my son get just the right brakes for his SUV. I highly recommend this particular Auto Zone.
If I could give less than one star I would. The plainfeild nj auto zone offered one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I went there because I needed a new battery. After confirming they would perform the install I purchased an over $200 battery. When the employee who helped me was getting ready to come install the battery another employee Rafael stopped him and told me he could not let him install the battery that they were too busy and I could come back tommorow to have it installed. I tried to explain to Rafeal that I was told I shouldn't even shut off the car until I got a new battery installed as the one in the car would most likely not start again. I indicated I had no problem waiting for them to attend to the current customers however Rafael insisted that he could not let the employee install my battery. Rafael again suggested giving me a jump to get home and me bringing the car back tommorow to install. I pointed out to him the failed logic in that plan because if he had to jump my car right now how was I going to get it started in the morning to bring it back. I also noted that i had already purchased and they took my money for the battery with the intention as advertised by the store that it would be installed. He then suggested I go up the street to a local mechanic and pay $30 to have it installed. I pointed out to him if that is the case you should discount the battery I bought by the additional $30 I would now have to spend for services I already paid for but did not recieve. Rafeal continued to talk to me in a rude and aggressive unnecessarily. I was waiting patiently for services I purchased. He has no business in a customer service job. I also observed while I waited how impatient he got with other customers on line. I paid for a part and service that was advertised by the company and there was nothing stopping me from getting my service other than this inappropriate employee Rafael. I would highly advise against going to this autozone as they are unable to fulfill thier services.
Angel M. did a great job today helping me out with multiple items that I needed. I went into the store with no knowledge at all and walked out knowing what type of oil I need as well as the filter. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The lady, and I use that term VERY loosely, NATASHA, is extremely rude. I had to call back twice because she kept hanging the phone up. My experience was horrible! I chose to go all the way to the South Plainfield branch just to receive proper service, which was MUCH better than the service & experience I had at the Plainfield location. She needs more training, regarding customer service. She also needs to be reprimanded for her behavior. It was disgusting! Or perhaps she just needs to find another job because she seemed to be very annoyed.
I ordered a part from them online and when I went to the store to pick it up they didn't even have it. Neither did any store close by. The reps did try to help me that's why I am giving them 3 stars but the online order process has got to be better. The manager (Natasha) did help me and was very, very nice!
I had a great start to my morning. My gear handle fell apart and I immediately got help from a nice employee by the name of Angel .i truly appreciate you Angel. Keep up the great work and don't change your work ethic for no one. Thank you so much. You made my day !!
Worst auto zone I've ever been to. Went in to buy a new battery and bulbs for my car. First one in the store they told me I had to wait for a battery check. Then proceeded to help 5 other customers after me. Just for the manager with the glasses to tell me they couldn't help me cause they are busy. With 4 staff working and 6 ppl in the store. Threw away an easy 350 dollars and repay business. Just opened a shop. Played yourself. Trash. Don't ever go here. And I'm not even a complaining mfr like that. If I could give zero stars out I would.
Incredibly rude customer service. I called to simply ask if they carried a product and before I could finish my sentence she hung up. When I called back she proceeded to LITERALLY yell at me. Not the way a customer should ever be treated. I will not be supporting this business anymore
Jose the store manager was amazing. He helped me find the items I needed to fix my headlight and even came and helped install it for me. He did the same thing with every other customer he interacted with while I was there. I also see that he is teaching that same wonderful work ethic to his employees. He is very informative and gives you knowledge to make sure that everything is okay in the long run. As someone who has worked in customer service for years, he is a pleasant rarity that you dont see often anymore.Truly grateful for his help. Thank you again Jose!!
Great customer service!! I came in one night because one of my headlights were out.
One of the guys (Kelby) went over & beyond to put the light in my car for me. The manager on duty & the young lady there was equally as nice.

Knowledgable staff and they work with you like wiper blades, bulbs, and more importantly the check engine. Just so everyone has an idea it can get pretty busy so just expect a little more wait time. Overall they are decent people
It's a good place to go if u just need something that's out on the floor. For example oil, light bulbs, or car accessories. I don't recommend buying anything that the sales people need to get behind the counter. I bought brakes and rotors from this store and when i got home it was the wrong ones for my car. I exchanged them for the correct ones and again when i got home they were the wrong ones. I went back again and when they checked the box and parts it turned out it was the correct box but wrong parts inside. I tried to exchange it one more time but instead of exchanging the guy just put the money back on my moms credit card. When i told him i didn't want to do that i wanted to exchange for the correct parts he told me that it was to late he already but the money back on the card and if i wanted to buy the parts my mom had to be there with the card. Which was impossible since she just left to go back to South Carolina. I had to get the manager and he agreed to talk to my mom and do the transaction over the phone. Finally after going back and forth 3 times i got the correct parts. That day was a nightmare.
