Aidan was quick to greet us upon pulling into the shop. The entire crew was polite and professional. They presented us with available tire options for our vehicle, a price comparison, and reviewed the manufacturers warranty. The work was done on time, with no hassles or surprises. Rodrigo has that place clicking. I will not hesitate to return should I need tires for any other vehicle.

Overpriced!!!! Everytime i come here i get told there are no used tires for my car so i have to “get new ones” yet they looked very much used . No reason why i should be paying over $150 for one nissan tire!!! Please be aware. Especially if you are a female they think you don’t know about cars

I will never come here again. $40 to patch a tire is ridiculous. I would rather drive to Newark . The reviews are lies. You can find a different place with reasonable prices..

Easy and quick experience. Inexpensive as well. These are my go-To people for tires

Great experience. Came with a slow leak in my tire and they patched it up. I was out within 20 minutes

be careful here. they advertised a set of 4 tires, but upon our arrival, they weren't good enough to put on the car. they swapped them for a mismatched set, two of which had plugs in them, and told us to return in about a week when they had a fresh, matching, plug-free set. we paid the full price, and the receipt has this promise noted on it. this was 6 months ago and they've been ghosting me ever since.

Got tires here a couple times. Has been decent mostly but perhaps could improve on communication - this time specifically. Called and asked for a common set of tires, was told by Im guessing the owner Rodrigo they had plenty used and new. When I got there, the desk guy Darlin said they only had brand new.
Rodrigo called me back which I'm thankful for, telling me that it was such a common tire size many of his clients get it. I guess that makes sense to an extent. But if that's the case, then someone didnt know their current inventory, or didnt get the update on the available stock. Becase my intent was to buy used not brand new.
The thing is, I still had to watch when they rotated and installed the tires. For some reason and its not just here....in general at autoshops, all the workers are fine with zipping on tires one 1,2,3 with a impact gun. Ranking down on the tires like theyre building the Golden Gate Bridge lol There is no need to ratchet those lugnuts on so tight. 100ft/lbs is usually enough for a sedan. So of course I had to stop the worker from doing that because they were just used to doing it like that or was instructed to by someone when they started learning whenever that was. Luckily I brought my own torque wrench and did it myself.
When it came to check out they had a emblem on the desk saying "proudly owned by veterans". That's nice I respect that deeply,....so I asked for a military discount as my wife was in the army and I got the look of skepticism from Darlin. I even confirmed over the phone with Rodrigo and he sounded unsure of it too. So a little confused on that.
In the end the discount was 5%....I mean okay I guess. I get everyone needs to make a profit and businesses are allowed to provide whatever discounts or promos they want. But if the intent or understanding was to never provide a kind gesture to those who served, the emblem should be removed completely. Plus if I had gotten used tires, I know most people dont offer discounts so I wouldnt have even asked at the point. But this transaction was for brand new SPORT tires no less.
Lastly after I left, I realized that the technician never reprogramed the tire pressure sensors to read correctly since they were rotated. So now my dashboard tells me pressures that are technically reversed. Really not sure if that's a mistake, something I needed to say ahead of time so that it was done or what. I've had my tires changed at other places before and never had that come up before.
I was also told by Darlin and Rodrigo to leave a 5 Star review on my way out. I would have loved to but I cant with the callouts I listed above. I think this review is pretty fair so I'm sorry if it leaves either of those guys feeling some type of way but it is the truth.
I'm okay with this business and will likely come back but management definitely could step up a little more. The business feels reliable, just needs tweeks on how the show runs.Jun 17, 2026 -
I originally went to Mavis for a tire, but the price I was quoted felt way too high. I decided to drive around and look at other options, and that's when I found Flat House Tire. I'm really glad I did.
The staff at Flat House Tire were friendly, honest, and extremely helpful. They took the time to explain everything and helped me get exactly what I needed at a much better price. The customer service was excellent, and the whole process was quick and stress-free.
It's hard to find a tire shop that treats customers right and offers fair pricing, but Flat House Tire did both. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality service, honest people, and great value. They've definitely earned my business for the future.Jun 15, 2026 -
I should have never given this place another chance... Person on the phone said $110 total price ... He said it would be a name brand american made tire... they charged me $127.18 for a Chinese made tire that gets horrible reviews... Go somewhere else- They do bait and switch.... pls don't trust these ppl.... now I have to replace 2 tires bc of them...

I paid over $11,000 to Rodrigo from Flat Tire House for a 4.5” Rough Country lift, 37” Falken tires, and Fuel wheels on my 2022 Ford F-350. After the installation, the truck became unsafe to drive. It shook badly over 60 mph and handled unpredictably on uneven roads.
I returned the truck multiple times and gave Rodrigo every opportunity to fix the problem. I was repeatedly given promises that were never fulfilled, and communication was often evasive and unprofessional. At one point, I was told the truck had been test-driven, but I later learned otherwise.
After months of dealing with the issue, I had to take the truck to another specialist and spend thousands more dollars to correct the problems.
Rodrigo is a Liar. Stay away from this placeJun 13, 2026 -

Fast, easy to understand, helpful, and an all around 5 star experience. Came for a tire installation and would have actually been able to use my own tire.

Flathouse Tires is a gem in Plainfield. I pulled in today with 2 VERY old, leaking tires and they were able to help me on the spot (mind you, it was a Friday, late afternoon, close to closing time). They quoted me an extremely reasonable price for 2 brand new tires and install and were able to get it done right then and there. Everyone was so kind and extremely helpful. The woman at the front desk was absolutely lovely and incredibly understanding. This is an example of a great local business here in Plainfield. If you live in Plainfield or surrounding areas, I highly recommend this shop for all your car tire needs.

I’ve had an excellent experience at Flathouse Tires and felt it was worth sharing.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is a well-run and professional shop. The team working there is incredibly polite, respectful, and always willing to help. They work efficiently without cutting corners, which is something I truly appreciate. You’re not left waiting around for long, and the service is done right the first time.
I also want to highlight the lady at the front office—she is very professional, organized, and courteous. She makes the whole process smooth and welcoming.
The shop itself is well-equipped and clearly set up to handle a wide variety of tire needs. They carry all types of tires at very reasonable prices, which makes it even better.
I’ve been there twice already, and both times the experience has been outstanding. Consistency like that says a lot about a business.
Highly recommend this place 100% if you’re looking for quality service, fair pricing, and a team that genuinely cares about their customers.Mar 23, 2026 -
After 3 years of not lowing my car, I finally bought coils and had a Flathouse do them. I cannot express how happy I am and how well the job was done, a bit on the pricey side but would rather spend the amount then to do it wrong. Staff was friendly and process was done at a solid time.

I went to this location on 3/3 to see if I had a nail in my tire. I was never informed about a price. Let's start. The worker took the tire off and showed me their wasn't any nail in the tire. He stated, "Let me go check to see if there's a slow leak." Ok, cool. He came back and said everything was good. He put the tire back on. I noticed the Psi said the tire had 46. I asked him to remove some air out of the tire. The worker decided to take the whole tire off again and say, " oh its your value." I am going to replace it. I said "no it's ok." Just put the tire back on." After he put the tire back on, he told me to go inside to pay. I asked the lady how much she said 15 dollars, so I asked for what because the only thing he did was check for a nail. I didn't ask him to check anything else. The lady said oh you need a value. I can see the leak from here." Now I piss because you can't see a leak with your naked eye coming from a value. 2nd, he checked the tire and put the tire in the water, so wouldn't he see it was the value from the start? I paid the money and went to Mavis and was told nothing was wrong with my value. They are just scamming people.

this place sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!! They probably pay for google reviews because I'm amazed this place has so many good reviews. It's very deceiving. I wouldn't bring my scooter to this place. I feel as if they over charged me compared to places nearby and the customer service was very aggressive and just bad.
After doing research the prices else were better. I suggested places over this one below....... just not this place, trust me, they truly suck. I feel soooooo let down by by their work and there customer service :.....(

Great service here. The gentleman here were very helpful, courteous and quick to assist, even with their shop full of cars being serviced. The prices here are very fair and honest. My mom has come here also and loves this place too. I've recommended this place to friends and family too.

Have driven by numerous times and now I had a reason to stop in. These places can be hit or miss but this is definitely the former. Great install, done in a timely fashion. A very professional and welcoming staff as well. Highly recommend.

Called in and the young lady was very polite very patient. They had my tires in for a Ford fusion.
I just needed one. Came in and left under 20 mins.
Place is very friendly staff and maintained small but busy. I’ll be a continued customer for sure.Jan 27, 2025 -
A life save! I came in with a severely damaged tire and rim, and the team handled everything with incredible professionalism and care. As you can see from the photos, the damage was significant, but they quickly identified the issue, including a bad valve, and got me back on the road safely.
The owner was extremely helpful and attentive, making sure I understood what was going on and explaining all my options. Their attention to detail and quick service saved me from what could have been an even worse situation. It’s rare to find such honest and reliable service these days.
If you’re looking for a tire shop that truly puts the customer first, this is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back for any future tire or wheel needs. Thank you so much!Dec 05, 2024
