OVERPRICED AND CONTINUALLY DOESN'T PICK UP MY GARBAGE!!!! Last summer I had maggots all over my trash can because they kept forgetting!!! Disgusting trash company!

SCAM!!!! THEY SOMETIMES DON'T COLLECT YOUR GARBAGE! They collect my garbage only sometimes even though I'm paying to have them collect it. It doesn’t make much sense really. Also they raised the price during Biden's gas price hike, but have yet to bring the price back down even though gas prices are cheaper (I haven't forgotten). This company is a scam and practices shady buisness.

Billing department is the worst!!!! Been calling continuously for the past 6 weeks to get bill straightened out. Have sent copies of check showing that Grand received it and cashed it and they still can't get my bill corrected. Wasted 8 plus hours back and forth on the phone. Beyond fustrating!

Don't feel good when you see a brand new bin. It's yours for life. They would not replace my broken bin after 13 years of use. They have a fee for to return old bin also at the end of the service.

Crooks! Cancelled my service back in December. Had credit with them. Here it is almost two months later. Contacted them numerous times to see when they were gonna send me my money. Giving me the run around.

Stopped picking up my recycling months ago. Also stopped picking up trash on Thursday. When you call you get this rude girl named Latasha who keeps cutting me off when I try to discuss. Today I was told by Latasha “customer service “ that I have an attitude. I stopped paying the bill because they stopped picking up . I have lived all over the USA and never had to call my trash man. This place is a joke

*update Owner reached out immediately after he initial review and has resolved the problems. So far everything is going well! Thank you ! Terrible, not always but over time worse and worse. In November we received a notice stating that they are merging with another company IWS, but after speaking to that company several times - they don’t serve our area. Our garbage hasn’t been picked up in a week. Before that they left the can in the middle of the street and didn’t empty it out completely . If you call you with a complaint or issue , you get a dispatcher that says they’ll let the area manager know and rushes you off of the phone- nothing done. Im hiring another company asap. I suggest you don’t waste your time with this one.

I haven’t had my garbage picked up in 2 weeks. All my dumpster is full and overloaded with trash bags. And the response from the team has been full of excuses. I understand there might be high demand of work due to the holidays, yet I’ve been with this company for years, and never had complaints. Up until the last couple of months, I’m not sure if it’s under new management. But the service and responses have not been consistent or convincing.

Honestly if you want your trash picked up late all the time then this is the place for you. I have never complained through Google for a bad review but this place needs it. I call the office and their staff just doesn’t care they keep saying they will send someone but never do. They take a photo in angles that look like they are unable to pick up trash but I have cameras all over my property and could clearly see there is space to pick up my dumpster. My dumpster is overflowing going on two weeks now and it isn’t the first time. No supervisor or management has contacted me after me calling regarding this situation either.

I've had this company since my first house 2008! They're great! My only suggestion is to have some sort of QR code so we can gift them on holidays or on days when we've had a big event and might have more trash then normal. Leaving a gift or envelope is very uncertain in these times. You can make it and a person can add their address so you can tell whose route . Or you can do by routes etc or simply let the guys make their own codes and sticker them on our trash cans. Anycase a big thank you to you all and hopefully at some point this type of system can be implemented.

Had an issue with a wheel falling off a can This is so dangerous because my dad had the same problem and when the driver dropped the can the wheel flew off and almost went through his picture window I was told that this matter can take 10-15 days to resolve I don’t feel safe with putting a can out with a wheel that can come flying off It could go through by glass storm door or my or someone else car window Not sure what I’m supposed to do about garbage for the next two weeks especially with the holidays coming up and my one of my pick up days is on a Wednesday Doesn’t make you feel like they value their customers Oh yeah , was told I could go and drop off the can Right??♀️

This driver didn't respect the stop sign and used the right turn lane in a park to overtake vehicles. To continue breaking the rules, he didn't stop at the signal to check oncoming traffic on a busy road, and I have it on video; I'll send it to the police. These are the people who cause major accidents, and their companies don't monitor them.

This company has been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with. We pay for trash collection twice a week, yet we’re lucky if it’s picked up twice a month. Our garbage sits outside for days, piling up and creating a disgusting mess and now, thanks to the constant overflow, we’ve started getting rats in our yard. We’ve been calling every single week to report missed pickups, but nothing ever changes. The customer service representatives are rude, and the results are always the same, no follow-through, no accountability, and no improvement. What’s most frustrating is that our payments are always processed on time, yet the service we’re paying for never seems to happen. It’s unbelievable that a company can so reliably take your money but fail so completely to deliver what was promised. It’s disgusting, disappointing, and unacceptable that we’re left dealing with health hazards and rodents because of their negligence.

Horrible customer service. Signed up for residential service and still waiting almost a month for the toter. When they say one month free. It mean you'll get to wait one month for free before service start. The lady on the customer call keep mention the welcome paper mention it'll take 15-20 days for new toter. No it doesn't. She was pretty rude and rush. Probably from having to deal with company shady tatics all day. Not to mention my families in the area mention they miss a lot of pickup days. Just sign up with another company.

I was a new customer and unfortunately I did not have the best experience with this company. In the span of the one month of service, our thrash was only picked up two times. Every time our thrash was not picked up, we reached out to customer service. We are confused because our neighbors with the same subscription as us got their garbage collected and we placed our totes similarly to theirs. One of the times we reached out via email, the representative told us the driver didn’t see our tote at all, and we provided pictures from our camera with our tote placed in an area that is accessible and clearly visible for any driver to see - the representative said our thrash will be collected and she will notify the supervisor. No surprise, it was not picked up. We eventually cancelled our subscription and they offered us a deal, but truthfully I don’t find this company reliable. Our thrash has piled up just as my disappointment has.

I share the same experience as Frank, Since spring pickup has been missed several times a month. I have called and sometimes they come and pickup. Today I called at 9am and was told someone would . Now 5pm and no show. I pay for 2 pick ups a wk and only use one but it should be checked every pick up date regardless.

We use Grand Sanitation for our residential pickup. We have found them to be a reliable company, providing good service. Customer service is good, their billing is consistent, and our trash is picked up regularly as it should be.

You might want to tell your driver who does the Jersey Ave. Scotch Plains route at 3:10 that it is illegal to make a right turn onto Maple Hill Rd. It is a school zone and they also need to slow the hell down as kids are literally just getting out of school. I tried calling but nobody answers your phones.

I am very unhappy with the service from Grand Sanitation. Since June, my trash has been skipped five different times. In the years I’ve had this service, I never had an issue before — but now all these problems have started. I have called numerous times and each time I’m told someone will reach out to me to address my concerns, but no one has ever called me back. Most recently, I spoke with a representative named Latasha, and while I remained respectful and simply expressed my concerns, she became irritated and hung up on me. That was completely unprofessional. I pay my bill, yet my service has not been consistent, and to make matters worse, my bill has somehow doubled since I first started service. I don’t want any problems, I just want the service I’m paying for. Very disappointed and frustrated with this company.

This company is a complete joke! They gave me a quote and when I decided to move forward, my old provider Waste Industries called them and told them not to take me as a customer. Instead of standing by their word, they actually called me back and said they’re “friends” with Waste Industries so they can’t take my business. I’ve never heard anything so unprofessional and shady. This says everything about the kind of company they are. What kind of company operates like this, zero integrity, zero professionalism. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Called on July 2, 2025 for a new garbage can due to the fact that my current one is destroyed by the automatic garbage disposal truck pickup claws. It is now over 1 month and still waiting I have called 3 times and got they are being delivered this week, then the delivery truck went on fire and now today they are waiting on delivery from the manufacturer. But they collect their money every month from us!!! Can the paying customer get the truth? ***update later that day a new garbage bin was delivered I would like to say thank you to whoever did their job in a professional manner!

Bulk removal is very easy and straightforward. They are very fast with the removal. The garbage pickup is reliable and go out of their way to be friendly and always wave to my son who is obsessed with them. Overall very happy with the service they provide and would recommend

The customer service was great. The lady was very nice when she explained that things were delayed. However, the thing is, they didn’t get our trash for around two weeks. Yes, you heard that right. For around TWO WEEKS. It’s not like they didn’t come. They did, however, the dumpster truck just ignored our bin and went to the next one. I really wished the trash collection was as good as the customer service. (Even though she said that they should be here anytime soon), I appreciate the effort they give to help us; however, I have been calling in for a few days to only hear that the people are working on my request.

We started with Grand Sanitation a month back and have been waiting for the tote (bin) to be delivered since then. It has been a pain contacting them multiple times over phone just to hear the customer service person rant the same message that they are out of stock with totes and have no clue when these will be made available by the manufacturer to be delivered. I am astonished how can a company of this size be so poor in managing their inventory of totes to provide to new customers. Its day 30th for us, with atleast 5 calls to Grand, and still without a tote. Racoons are having a feast on my street, my neighbors are getting annoyed, and I can't even dispose off all my garbage properly. Overall, a very frustrating situation making me question why I moved to this service provider. Management - Please take a note if you read these reviews. New Customers - Please be prepared to not have a tote for a very long time.
