I’m an owner of a small trucking company This place damaged my equipment and refused to take responsibility. The plant manager was very unprofessional. I hope this doesn’t happen to any other small companies out here who are just trying to make it, like me. I’m chalking this one up as a learning experience. My best advice would be to stay away or to Bid extremely high.

Slow to get trucks unloaded. Parker, and Reilley get preferential treatment and management will bend over backwards to help these two companies out. If you’re driving for anyone else be prepared to be treated as a second class citizen and hear them bad mouth you on the CB. Other Omni yards are run way better and can unload in a timely manner. This one is a “Good Old Boys” club and you ain’t in it!
Slow to get unloaded , I understand there are lot of trucks and it takes time , but maybe they can change how they do things to help get trucks moving faster maybe a pre chopper would help
I have been to several OmniSource yards, and this one by far is the absolute worst. It takes every bit of 2 hours on a good day to get a truck unloaded and if there's more than seven trucks in front of you you will be here 5 hours. The way they unload trucks makes absolutely no sense. They need to send their management down to OmniSource Indianapolis and take lessons from them. If you come here pack your lunch and plenty of things to drink and something to pee in because there's nowhere to use the restroom this place is awful.

What Happened: I took some electronics to this location for recycling on Thursday June 30. I didn't expect to be charged money, but they charged me $55. But I found out they only do cash or check, ouch. Went to go find an ATM, got back as they were closing.
Came back that Saturday, well within posted business hours, to find they were closed. Later found out it was for July 4th weekend.
Makes sense...but there was no sign I was able to get to, and no adjusted hours online.
I called and left a message, frustrated since I live all the way across town. They called back July 5th and apologized, and waived the charge.
Customer service? Good.
Need updated payment methods, or a cash ATM onsite.
They should also make sure they keep their hours updated online.
Never again will I waste my time here. I took a truck load of aluminum siding here and made a lousy $56. I took less to metal x a week prior and made twice as much. These guys are crooks
