My experience at Vernon Auto Sales has been nothing but amazing. I not only got into the car I have been dreaming of, I also got the pleasure of doing business with Jason.He was honest and open about every step of the process. If one thing does not work, Jason will find a way to make another happen. Genuinely the best decision to buy my vehicle from them. Can’t wait for my 30 day check up on my new car! Found this place through CarGurus. It's not very big but I was able to schedule a test drive quickly. Everyone was very friendly. Jason (the owner, I think) is a big personality and makes you feel like family, even though I only talked to him the two days it took to make my purchase. At the last minute before signing I mentioned that I was tempted by another car and he immediately sent me on a test drive (I decided to stick to my original choice). No pressure, no haggling, my favorite way to buy a car. I was especially grateful they didn't keep me sitting around for hours, playing money games, like other dealers have in the past. Jason is patient and forthright and explains everything. I feel like I got a good deal and I'm glad I found them! Edit: Well, got the car inspected. My bad for buying without inspecting. Turns out it needs nearly $3k in work done. Don't think I have any recourse since I bought "as-is," but it does make me feel less good about my experience.

Jason and Carlos took great care of us! We got a wonderful car, in very good condition, at a very honest price. We will definitely go back to VAS when our kids are old enough to drive!

After reading great reviews and going in person to try and find a new car after being involved in a accident I can say i honestly think a lot of the reviews are fake or something. My experience was awful in all honesty and it’s sad because I was very excited to check this place out and to hopefully find a car but the service wasn’t great, the smell inside the building is off putting… like just smells like cigarettes, if your not ready to buy a car they want you to buy they will say your wasting their time. You’d like to be hopeful and think not every used car place is the same but yet again I’ve been proven wrong. Carlos isn’t even all that from the reviews like not sure what those people are talking about but he wasn’t great. Anyways I went to another place and purchased a car. "Shady Practices, Amateur Repairs, and Overpriced for Its Condition" Let me start by saying I’m no stranger to buying older vehicles. A 2009 Lexus GX470 with 170,000+ miles isn’t going to be perfect, and I understand the realistic costs of maintenance. That said, my experience with this dealership was a complete mess, filled with red flags, poor communication, and a refusal to acknowledge or address the actual condition of the vehicle (VIN: JTJBT20X190173027). --- The Good To be fair, the vehicle has some positives. It’s a one-owner car, with no reported accidents and a history of regular oil changes. That’s where the good news ends. --- The Spray Paint "Fix" The undercarriage and frame have been spray-painted black, with no logical explanation provided. When I asked Carlos, the salesperson, why this was done, he stumbled through an awkward non-answer. On top of that, the rims had been spray-painted silver, with overspray left on the tires and valve stems. This wasn’t reconditioning—it was amateur hour at best and an attempt to cover up potential issues at worst. --- The Real Cost of Ownership Based on the service history from Lexus.com, this vehicle is overdue for several major maintenance items: 1. Timing Belt and Water Pump Replacement: I obtained estimates from two Toyota dealers and one Lexus dealer, and all were over $3,000 for this critical service. 2. Fluid Replacements (Brake, Transmission, Differential, Radiator Flush): These services are also overdue, with estimates coming in at over $1,300 total. These aren’t optional repairs—they’re overdue maintenance required to keep the vehicle running reliably. --- The Price Doesn’t Add Up The dealership’s current asking price is $9,995 (recently reduced from $11,995). I offered $9,199, which is more than generous considering the $4,300+ in immediate maintenance costs. Despite this, Carlos brushed off my concerns, stating, “It is what it is,” and showed no interest in reasonable negotiation. --- Evasive and Disorganized Communication After making my offer, I was told it would be “passed to the team.” Days passed, and when I followed up, Carlos bizarrely claimed that the earlier texts were from a “bot.” The messages were riddled with misspellings (e.g., “geat”) and made little sense. Then Annie stepped in to confirm she was a “real human,” which, frankly, didn’t inspire much confidence given the chaos of the entire process. --- Dismissive of Standard Buyer Requests When I asked to schedule an independent inspection—a standard request for a used vehicle—Carlos shrugged it off with, “It’s your money if you want to spend it like that.” This level of dismissiveness, coupled with the shady spray-paint job, makes it clear they’d rather not let a buyer see what’s really going on with this vehicle. --- Final Thoughts While the one-owner history and lack of accidents are nice, they don’t outweigh the glaring issues with this vehicle or the dealership’s shady, evasive practices. Between the overdue $3,000+ timing belt and water pump service, the $1,300+ in overdue fluid replacements, and the amateur spray-paint job, this car is overpriced even at $9,199. If you’re considering buying here, prepare for unprofessional communication, questionable reconditioning practices, and a sales team uninterested in transparency or customer service. If nothing else, ask Carlos to explain the spray-paint job on the undercarriage and watch him scramble for an answer. It might be the only entertainment you get from this place.

Called multiple times to see if they would send some pictures of the undercarriage of a Landcruiser they had on the lot. Originally spoke with Jason who was cordial and said no problem, give him a few days as the lifts were busy. Received a call today from Carlos who stated that they don't do "special requests" and refused to send the photos. I'm over 2 hours away from the dealership so I didn't want to waste my time driving 4 hours round trip if the truck had too much corrosion. Seems like they had something to hide... buyer beware..

Very pleasant experience I made an appointment for a small auto repair. Car was taken in on time, took as long as they said it would, final price was as quoted. Lobby waiting area was clean comfortable, coffee was good, free WiFi w/ phone charging. The service is as good as their sales! I won’t hesitate to call in the future. Thanks

We recently helped our daughter purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee from VAS and it was a great experience. Due to our work schedules, we were unable to make it to the dealership until close to their closing time. They didn't rush us at all and made sure we had plenty of time to test drive. It is very obvious that this dealership plans to outsell the competition through friendliness, trust worthyness, and attention to detail. they guided me through smoothly through the whole process. I was initially here a few months ago to purchase a vehicle however I wasn't able to(due to hesitation on my end). However, the 2nd time I came I was greeted with the same kindness and hospitality from Carlos and Jason. Made the whole experience very welcoming, transparent, and completely understanding. One of the easiest car purchases I’ve ever made. I found this car on Autotrader , so I decided to take a look at it. After a no pressure test drive,we made a deal, I left a deposit. A few days later I returned to purchase and pickup my new vehicle. Jason had all my documents ready, Carlos was also very helpful. I received my signed title a few days later as promised.
