Jose and his team were fantastic. Communicated every step of the way. Even set up and uber for my daughter back and forth to the shop. Repairs were done quickly . A very reliable repair shop that operates with honesty and integrity

I enjoyed my time in the waiting room. I like that the service was quick, and i was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Jose, the man who helped me was super sweet and answered all of my questions. He was patient and kind, and I truly appreciate the extra time he took to help save me money. He recommended the best options for my situation using logical solutions and helped me to understand the situation without blowing off my questions. He also helped me with the tv remote when I wanted to watch a movie, a true genuine gentlemen. I recommend this shop to anyone needing the answers for their vehicle problems. Its a comfortable environment and they're quick to fix the issues for walk-ins.

We have been taking our cars here for years- they have always done great work. They are also HONEST and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Fast, great service. In from out of town when our check engine light came on. Stopped in hoping they could help us and they did!

Reliable Auto is totally Unreliable! I had my son take his car there and I guess they don’t think people check prices. They charged $487 for a $167 part and then over $200 an hour for labor. This was for a radiator motor replacement. When I asked the person at the front desk about the part cost he just replied “we have to make a profit”. A $320 make up for 1 part that is an hour labor to install?? They charged over 2 hours labor. Then while the car was there they left it unsecured and my son’s glasses and camera were stolen out of it. They said they take care of replacing the items, then a week later told my son to file a police report. Dishonest, over charging, and totally Unreliable. Think twice before taking your car there .

Everyone was very welcoming. He explained the estimate in detail. I am happy that now I can breathe a sigh of relief and not worry when my son or daughter in law are driving my car. I would highly recommend Reliable Automotive. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future issues or maintenance.

My car broke down in I-35 in the middle of morning rush hour. Thay came and towed my car to their facility. They had my car fixed in one day. I'm very greatful for Reliable Automotive and their quick and courteous service!

Repairs done on my Nissan Titan, resolved problem, repaired on time. Provided an uber home when dropping off. Jose provided good customer service.

I took my car in because I was told there was a leak by someone who changed my oil (we looked but didn't see one). I dropped it off at reliable they checked it out and found nothing... that's not the great part.. they didn't charge me for doing an inspection on it and the communication was great! Everyone I interacted with there was very kind and informative. Thank you Reliable!!

I trust them with my 77 Ford Bronco. Not too many garages are on my A Team list. Quality team with knowledge and focus on customer service. I have done simple differential and brake service but will gladly go deeper heaven forbid. They are fair and trustworthy.

My company car broke down on a Friday and they had it up and running for me fast! They are very professional and honest and the name serves them right! Very reliable!! My husband took in the car since I was at work and he described the staff as friendly and considerate. When I booked the appointment it was super easy and I received a confirmation text within an hour. However when my husband went in the appointment wasn't even listed! Thankfully they let us join the que for our $95 Oil Change, which is the most I have ever paid for an oil change in my life! We tried to use the TX-State student discount and despite it being shown on their website they said they didn't have such a discount. However they did have a "free tire rotation with any oil change", which if you do the math you're essentially paying for both services under one price. They said my car was super well taken care of, which seems interesting seeing has there's a decent size piece of my undercarriage hanging off the bottom, but I mean yeah sure. When my husband left he felt like the tire pressure was off on the car but had no reason to believe anything was wrong since they had rotated the tires. As soon as my car's computer could register it showed that all my tires had lost 5-8 psi. Overall we will not be using this service again.

I really want to gate keep this place because of how amazing they are but they seriously deserve so much recognition and praise since they are THE best in the area. John and his team went above and beyond to fix the electrical issues on my F350. Truck is now running better than ever.

This was some of the best experience I have ever gotten from an auto shop. I am a college kid working almost everyday and they helped me so much on getting all my parts replaced. And were very reasonable. I will always recommend this shop to anyone.

This was my second time using Reliable. While very appreciative of them wanting to ensure the problem was repaired the first time, I was left rather disappointed in their communication skills. My truck was with them a week. Not once did they tell me it could take that long. Luckily, I had someone I could catch a ride in to work with. In that time I received one phone call. This even after me commenting on it. I had to call them every day for updates. They are obviously good at what they do as judged by their parking lot. I know they are very busy, but a little update periodically goes a long way in customer satisfaction. I will use them again. I just hope this review will help with communication in the future.

I have an Alpha warranty from a dealer on my truck and this was a service center I chose based on ratings. I did spend a little more out of pocket past the deductible because their hourly rate was a little higher than what alpha quoted. I did question my quote as there were some charges like a diagnostic fee and shop supplies. After speaking to Alpha, she advised the shop to submit the fee and they would cover it. I had a window regulator done and a factory radio swap. I was charged for “shop supplies” and asked many times about this. IMO any good shop would include overhead in the hourly rate and should not charge an additional cost. Especially when my window was not cleaned from the temporary fix during a rain and missing clips were not installed , luckily I do have those and goo gone and a razor worked just fine. The only negative about this process was the radio replacement received was a dud, and caused a delay . The shop got the run around from the dealership at bluebonnet. Overall, that was out of the shops control and they managed it well. As for Reliable Automotive what was in their control they managed the realistic expectation and communicated with me. I still would recommend them and I would go to them in the future. As a consumer , is is always in your best interest to ask questions and expect a legitimate answer from any where you spend your hard earned money. Stupidity is costly, and knowledge is free.

If you have any questions as far as alignments, do not take your car here first go to your local mechanic. I went here to get an alignment and the guys could’ve told me there was no way my truck was gonna be the same because I had other issues, but yet they still charge me for the alignment. I hate coming to this place like this.

So far So Good! Had to take it back in right after picking up the vehicle the same day because of a faulty part they had installed they said but they corrected the issue and that’s what’s important and I guess that’s not their fault, so with some frustration obviously as a result, they still got the job done, so I’m not complaining. Communication was Great! They Do answer calls right away and they were very easy to communicate with and I do feel they actually cared about making things right

Our son had his Toyota serviced here and the result was not good. Both my son and his girlfriend were in danger driving the truck after this company failed to install parts correctly. We had his truck assessed by a reputable new car dealership in Austin after reliable automotive serviced the truck and it was determined that Reliable installed parts incorrectly. We have pre and post photos which we have shared with their management team which took no accountability of their poor workmanship. Very disappointed in this company and their lack of integrity. Do not take your vehicle here. Safety is not high on their values as an organization.

I would like to thank Mr.Chad and the Reliable Automotive team for all their hard work, commitment, great communication skills and the time it took to fix my car. I was aware of everything from start to finish. They are not like regular mechanics who just gets your car keep it for long periods of time (push you behind for work,regular lifestyle etc) my car was there was worked on & she is back in action!! Thank you Chad & Reliable Automotive I believe we have found our new mechanic shop! Considering we are not from San Marcos at all.

I definitely would recommend. I was visiting from out of town when my car wouldn’t start. I dropped off my car off on a Saturday at 12:50 and they close at 1 but said it would be ready on Monday or Tuesday. 20 minutes later I get a call and they said they figured out it was just the battery and I could pick up in 20 minutes! I’m grateful that businesses like this still exist where companies go above and beyond to deliver quality services. So thankful I was able to get back on the road to head home that day!

Jose has always made it a point to take care of me! I've gone to this location with my last truck with multiple visits, and I plan to keep going on every vehicle I have! He's always helping out with everything between scheduling, pricing, and getting my truck back as fast as he can. He goes above and beyond! The techs here really give a good look on their initial inspection and make sure to get what needs to be done without adding unnecessary things on. I would highly recommend this shop

I had an incredible experience with Reliable Automotive. My car had work done a month ago to replace a crushed fuel tank (while on a road trip from Dallas and I was stranded in Wimberley, Tx lol) and reliable automotive was a lifesaver. I had to get towed to this shop on a weekend, get back home to Dallas via megabus for my work week, and coordinate with reliable automotive from afar to diagnose and repair all the damage. I successfully retrieved the vehicle a week later- my part was miraculously shipped in a few days and the auto team installed the fuel tank so quickly. If that ordeal wasn’t enough of a headache though I goofed and accidentally left my key fob with the mechanic (I used my backup when I came to pickup the car after hours). One of the gentlemen from Reliable Automotive graciously offered to drop off my key fob with Pak Mail so that it could get shipped back to me. Thank you SO much Andrew & team. Incredible service all around! I wish I were local so I could come back for all my automotive needs. Happy New Year!

Jerold and Thomas where fantastic, they shoot you straight and are some of the most honest people ive meet at a auto shop. I was in San Marcos from Dalllas for the weekend and had heavy vibrations in my steering when braking naturally i though it was my brakes and upon them looking at things it turns out all 4 of my inside side walls where separating, (something my mechanic in DFW missed just 2 weeks prior) needless to say these two probably saved my life, i doubt those tires would have gotten me back to Dallas in one piece. Thanks again guys, i wouldn’t hesitate to come back anytime.
