100% recommend! We sought help growing our family after over a year of trying naturally. After thorough tests for both my husband & myself we reviewed our current state and treatment options with Dr. Nguyen and moved forward with IUI. While fertility treatments can be complicated (very specific timing, frequent visits) and an emotional time, the staff was patient, kind, considerate, helpful, encouraging, & professional during the entire process. In the end, we conceived on the third cycle of treatment and now have a healthy baby boy! We are so very grateful for SGF in helping us grow our family and overcome infertility.

We started going to shady grove this summer after months of not being able to conceive a second child. Dr Nguyen was compassionate and knowledgeable. The entire staff - from front desk to nurses to ultrasound techs are incredible. You’re assigned a nurse coordinator - ours was always quick to respond. Billing was a little tricky here and there but anything with insurance can be like that. There were always appointments available to fit our schedule and I never waited long at all. We are currently pregnant with our second and I was honestly a little sad to leave Shady Grove because the care and response from their team is top quality.

I went to Shady Grove because i had a PCOS diagnosis and I wasn't getting pregnant naturally. Spent thousands and thousands of dollars on treatments that never ended up working because turns out I have severe Endometriosis. During my time as a patient at SGF I voiced my concerns about my symptoms and the possibility i may have Endometriosis numerous times and Dr.Lauren Roth just kept dismissing me and saying " it's just your PCOS ". So all that time, money, and heart break for nothing because there was an underlying issue that they refused to look into. " You're young. You just have to keep trying " she said. I would not recommend SGF to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about Shady Grove and the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and positive. Shannon ended up helping me almost every visit and she was so welcoming and happy, it made each appointment feel positive. Highly recommend!

This is definitely a money hungry clinic! If you aren’t getting treatment right away, they are turning you away. I went for a consult and was told I was 30 pounds overweight for fertility treatment. I then asked if I could at least get some testing out the way while I continue on my weight loss journey and I was told you even have to be a certain BMI to have a HSG and lab work completed. After a few months of being in my feelings about basically being turned away, I decided to go to Penn State Health and they have been nothing but amazing! My consult was on a Monday, I had a HSG done 3 days later, some lab work a week later and more blood work to confirm ovulation a few weeks after that! Now I am just waiting for my return visit for the next course of action.

My husband and I went through the Embryo Donation program at Shady Grove, Mechanicsburg. We are so grateful that our first transfer was successful, and we are now in week 12 of pregnancy. From day one in November to our "graduation day" in April, we were so impressed by the staff at Mechanicsburg. We only met with Dr. Nguyen one time, but she was very sweet, supportive, and caring, and she made sure to see us and wish us luck on our "graduation day". Most of our interactions with staff was through the front desk staff and nurses. The front desk staff always knew my name when I walked in, even at my first visit. They were always so kind and welcoming. The nurses that I worked with throughout our journey (there were several) were all so great. They were extremely organized and punctual. When they said I would hear from them on a certain day and time, I heard from them. The finance team, and all of the other staff involved in our care were very pleasant to work with and were quick to answer any questions we had. The nurse who did our three ultrasound scans, Kristi, was so excited for us and explained everything that was going on and what we were seeing. She was genuinely invested in us and our pregnancy. We are so grateful that our journey was as quick and smooth as we could have asked for. Thank you!

They are nothing but full of lies. Me & my wife went for a free consultation with Nguyen MD. Back in October of 2024, even though it was free I’m still getting bills from them and have explained to their billing department, but they’re still send me bills and have charged my insurance too! Would take them to court for false insurance claims when it was supposed to be free information about the procedure and its cost & etc…..

We had a decent experience at shady grove. We absolutely loved Mindy, their previous PA, and Caitlin, their new PA. We worked with them for years to get my full diagnoses and best treatment plan. The sonographers and nurses at each visit were welcoming and detailed in delivering updates to you. The billing department was difficult to deal with periodically. Some things were repeatedly billed wrong and we were told we hadn’t met our deductible and were being charged for things we knew our insurance covered. It was most frustrating dealing with them back and forth. However, overall we had a good experience getting proper diagnoses, thorough explanations of treatment, and completing a few rounds of IUI. We were planning to move forward with IVF when we ended up getting spontaneously pregnant and the facility allowed us to be seen there the first 9 weeks of our pregnancy to monitor progress which we genuinely appreciated. It was very hard to leave their care to go to a regular OB. We would use shady grove again if we needed.

I felt heard and understood every step of the way. I was always greeted by Shannon (front desk) by name, each and every visit. The ladies who draw blood are wonderful and kind. My nurse, Rachel, was so compassionate and supportive. Most of all, Dr. Connell was one of the best doctors I’ve ever head. He always listened and allowed me to make my own decisions based on his recommendations. I truly appreciate the entire team. So happy to graduate, but a standard OBGYN does not even come close to SG Mechanicsburg. It’s like going from driving a Benz to a Ford.

We selected SGF because it had positive success statistics relative to other clinics, many positive reviews, and insurance partially covering it. Within a few months, we were disgusted to find that the doctors (Dr. Kara Nguyen, Dr. Russ Hayden) are unprofessional, careless, sloppy, and dishonest and that our nurse (Rachel Kline) was so incompetent that even Dr. Nguyen threw her under the bus. Communication with these providers was terrible, and they all pushed for the most expensive treatment even though it wasn't appropriate for our situation. Dealing with them was so stressful and miserable that it nearly destroyed our marriage and brought on suicidal urges in my wife. We have opted to not have children rather than continue with this clinic.

So grateful that SGF got me pregnant but at the same time very frustrated with the way their billing system works, and the lack of communication between the client and the billing office. They really need to do better with getting Their billing statements in order and communicating with their clients about the fact that every office charges from a different location so you never actually know what you owe until you receive a final notice for a bill you never received before. Completely unacceptable when someone is going through something as as stressful as infertility.

My husband and I have SGF to thank for our beautiful daughter! SGF helped us match with a wonderful egg donor and then Dr. Nguyen and her miracle working hands transferred one of our beautiful embryo into our selfless gestational carrier. Dr. Nguyen and the nurses truly care about families and sit side by side with us on the infertility roller coaster.

Shady Grove at Mechanisburg has been absolutely amazing with us. Our journey started a year and a half ago when we were faced with male fertility factor as our problem in conceiving. We worked with Dr. Nyugen and she was absolutely amazing. Nurse Carrie Kurtz guided us through this whole journey and she was there every time we needed her. The team at the office at the front desk always have a smile and a positive vibe which we enjoyed! In the end we are blessed by a natural pregnancy BUT Dr. Nyugen and Shady Grove Fertility helped us make 9 beautiful EMBRYOS that currently sit on the freezer waiting for us in the future! Every time you go all the staff will know your name and will treat you amazing, some nurses will even dance for you from being happy for you! Truly an amazing experience here with Shady Grove Fertility in Mechanisburg!

I don’t know where to begin first. This is the first doctor’s office that I actually looked forward to going to. The staff is all so wonderful and friendly! I loved each and every one of them. It’s always such a welcoming warm environment. My consultation with Dr. Nguyen was wonderful, and was so adaptive to my husband being deaf and allowing us to bring a translator. We really enjoyed working with Dr. Nguyen. My husband and I tried for 3 years. I gave up a lot of hope, but after seeing the doctor and coming up with a plan. We both finally felt heard, and excited about our new path. It did take us two rounds of IUI and some change to medication, but my nurse Morgan has been so wonderful and supportive. I truly cannot say enough good things, and will forever be grateful to the Shady Grove Mechanicsburg office. For anyone struggling with infertility, know you are not alone. I know it can be very difficult and sad. I know having hope sometimes can be limited, but I truly believe this is the best place you can go. I have my favorites in the staff of course, but I won’t name names because they are all so good at what they do. I know I’m rambling at this point, but I just so appreciate what the Shady Grove staff has done for us, and our family. Thank you to all who helped us through this journey. I really wish they could stay with me till the end, lol that’s how much I loved it there!

I will forever say that Shady Grove was the best place to go. We switched clinics and started at Shady Grove. The staff were more than friendly. They remembered my name every time. I definitely felt so at home and not a number anymore. I lived it there so much. We ended up getting pregnant on our own and they were more than nice about it and said they were genuinely happy for us and I just had the best experience until I left. We had a history of ectopics so with getting pregnant on our own I was so vulnerable. They were so considerate with me until I found out everything was okay and I had the sweetest ultrasound technician who made that day more than great. I stand by Shady Grove when it comes to fertility clinics! They’ll forever be my favorite part of our journey.

Wouldn’t recommend shady grove to anyone. I’ve used them for two rounds of IVF and both times were incredibly stressful. I was a very easy patient health wise with no fertility issues on my end. The phones were always busy and there were times my voicemails weren’t answered. My nurse coordinator Morgan denied my symptoms from the meds because they weren’t common and told me to go to my PCP or ER to get answers rather than showing any compassion or attempting to understand. If you aren’t able to show compassion you shouldn’t work at a fertility clinic where it really counts to show up for your patients. I had seen Hershey for a second opinion in between rounds with shady grove and got more help, communication, and compassion with them. The only reason I didn’t go with them is because they weren’t comfortable moving the embryos and the risk of losing them. I continued to speak with Hershey throughout my second round since Morgan with shady grove was far from helpful. After I had my last round, Dr Nguyen told me I could ask for any documents in between getting records sent to my new fertility clinic (due to moving out of state). When I reached out to Morgan and asked for one single blood count number and even told her I would request the records she didn’t allow it. If you’re looking up reviews to make a decision on where to go, choose Hershey (Penn State Health). Dr Estes and Dr Butts are phenomenal!

Shady Grove has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I have dealt with unknown infertility for 5+ years at other clinics, but recently discovered shady grove. With shady grove I no longer have unknown infertility and a real diagnosis. They were always so thorough with testing, answering questions, and so patient and helpful. During this hard process shady grove made my experience a lot easier. They did all the thinking and planning for me when it all got overwhelming. They were in constant communication and my nurse Megan was so sweet, supportive, and informative. She took time to make my schedules, and answered all my questions in a timely manner. The ladies that take bloodwork and check blood pressure were always so kind and helpful. They were always so cheerful and never made me feel alone or out of place. I felt like a friend to everyone at shady grove. Christy that did my ultrasounds was as sweet as could be and remembered me every ultrasound. She would ask me how family members were and how my weeks went. She truly cares about her patients. She cheered at every baby ultrasound and it warmed my heart. Lastly Dr. Nguyen, was always so involved in my fertility journey. If it weren’t for her I wouldn’t have my little blessing. I owe her all the thanks in the world. She was always so patient with me during video calls, informative, and on top of every single one of my appointments. She didn’t miss a beat! Shady grove is the place to go for all your infertility needs. They are so encouraging, kind, and hopeful for all of their patients. They don’t give up and they carry you when it gets overwhelming. The staff is out of this world! I was so happy to graduate shady grove, but so sad to say so long to so many amazing individuals. They are all blessings and the comfort/community they provide is immeasurable. If I could rate them a million stars I would! We love you shady grove! We can’t wait to meet our little joy in June. After 6 years of trying to start a family via many different approaches with no success, my wife and I found Shady Grove Fertility, and decided to take a very desperate leap of faith. Throughout the entire process, the good and bad, we never walked out of the Mechanicsburg office with anything but a smile on our faces. The entire team is extremely friendly, positive, and knowledgeable. I am overjoyed to share that my wife and I are finally expecting a bundle of joy, and our only regret is that we didn't choose Shady Grove Fertility sooner! If we decide to add another addition to our family in the future, we know exactly who we will be calling again. <3

Kaitlyn is the best nurse ever!!!! She gives you the time of day and information that no one else ever has. My husband and I have gone to Shady Grove multiple times prior to meeting Kaitlyn and had mixed feeling about the facility but after taking a break, I was pleased to be welcomed back with a new on floor nurse and she changed my experience as a whole. She is so genuine and exceeds at her job. Can’t say enough kind words about this young lady.

They have been absolutely amazing. From starting out with fertility treatment to becoming pregnant with our miracle baby! I want to give a special shout out to ALL the providers that took care of me, check in staff and the MAs and my nurse Megan! Thank you for always bringing me up and being there through everything. We are truly SO blessed! ??

Dr. Nguyen was with us through our long journey (many years). She finally got me my bundle of joy (10 years in the making). Dr. Nguyen was amazing, empathic, caring and encouraging. I had a million questions, and the staff never seemed to bother when I would call. If I needed them they were there. They took care of me like I was a family member. It’s not an easy journey and it certainly was not an easy one for me. I knew Shady Grove had my back.

I would highly recommend Shady Grove to anyone who may be struggling with getting pregnant or even something else dealing with fertility. They have some of the nicest employees working for them who treat you more than just a patient. The doctors and nurses worked diligently to figure out what was keeping my husband and I from conceiving and after 4 rounds of IUI we are expecting our first December 2023! Update: thanks to the great team at Shady Grove, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl in December 2023! We truly cannot thank them enough!

No one wants to find themselves in need of fertility care, but if you are considering getting some extra support Shady Grove couldn't be a better decision. We are incredibly thankful that we were able to have the doctors and staff of Shady Grove as our providers throughout this journey. Literally every single person we interacted with were simply wonderful. Their warmth and compassion at every single visit gave us so much comfort after years of struggling with starting a family. I have never felt so well listened to as a patient, so informed about my care options, and for the first time in a long time optimistic about our chances of conceiving. As we have officially "graduated" from needing care at Shady Grove, I'm filled with so many bittersweet feelings as I feel we are leaving our very best partners. I cannot recommend everyone at Shady Grove more highly, hands down the best medical care I have ever received.

I am giving giving Shady Grove 4 stars solely based on the medical care and office experience. I would give it 5 if I didn't feel I needed some kind of deduction for my experience with the billing department. Shady Grove is responsive, supportive, and helpful. Every individual that I encountered at the office/over the phone was respectful, helpful, supportive, and quick to respond. Dr. Nguyen was my assigned physician (out of Mechanicsburg) but I visited the Lancaster office for appointments. After initial testing and 6 rounds of treatment, we are pregnant with twins. From start to finish, our experience with Shady Grove was a pleasure. The entire time, I felt supported, informed, and hopeful. Unfortunately, my experience with the billing department has been getting more and more frustrating. I had at least 30 appointments with Shady Grove throughout my time there. Over the past several months, there have been issues with almost every bill. Appointments have been billed with the wrong diagnosis code, I am then billed too much, I have to reach back out to SGF to fix it, then wait for it to be corrected. Meanwhile, I am having more appointments, and the same thing happens over and over. Reply time via the portal has been getting longer and longer. There is no place on the portal to see a current account balance, so I have to wait for paper bills to see what has been fixed/how my account stands. I have now been done with treatment for over 6 weeks, yet am still dealing with billing mistakes from the June/July/August.

Highly highly recommend this clinic!! We had great success in 2020 with our first born after one cycle. We returned in 2022 for IVF treatment again and had the same experience and success for a second time! The office itself it very bright, open and clean. Amy, the front receptionist always has a bright smile when you walk in! She is very kind and personable making you feel very welcomed from the start of your appointment till the end. Mindy, the ultrasound tech, is wonderful at explaining what is happening the whole process, whether is be ultrasound, tests, procedures or whatever it may be! Lauryn, the nurse, is amazing at keeping you calm, updated and hopeful. And lastly, Dr Nguyen is one of the best doctors we have had through this process. She is very thorough, positive, honest and kind. Couldn’t say enough good things about this clinic, all the workers and the company!!! We are so blessed with two Shady Grove babies and can’t wait to continue to add to our family with their help!

I don't remember the last time I felt more cared about or listened to than I felt with Dr. Nguyen. Her presence was kind and compassionate right from the start. She was thorough in her approach to our infertility while being empathetic and hopeful for our success. When we found out we were expecting, she called and congratulated us, which meant so much. The staff at Shady Grove were also so fantastic. Every staff member, nurse, lab tech and ultrasound tech that I interacted with were exceptionally kind and compassionate. I genuinely found myself missing this kind of care when we transferred back to our regular OBGYN. Would absolutely recommend Shady Grove to anyone struggling thru infertility. They went above and beyond with kindness and concern and made you feel valued, seen and heard. Thank you, Shady Grove and Dr. Nguyen for your exceptional care and support.

Shady Grove is the best! From the moment of our first appointment, until our "graduation", each and every staff member we encountered was kind and caring. They do not make you feel like just a "number" but important at each visit. Dr. Kara Nguyen is simply the best, and genuinely wants the best for each patient. Within 5 months of help from Shady Grove, we are now 9 weeks pregnant with TRIPLETS! Could not have had a better experience!
