Excellent customer service and clerk even installed my windshield wipers

I was in desperate need of a battery, I have a higher end car and just didn’t want to get ripped off at the dealership. I was told by a friend that advanced auto will install your battery as well. My car takes a specialty battery. I had the pleasure meeting Dylan Who took a look at my car and said yes I can get you a battery and install it. He was extremely knowledgeable, conscientious, and spoke to me the whole way through of the installation of the battery. He also was keeping an eye on the store to make sure his coworkers didn’t need a helping hand. I cannot say enough about this particular Advanced Auto ,or Dylan. Such an exceptional employee so refreshing to actually have someone that is conscientious and cares.

Best around there with in a year warranty is fenomenal I replaced my windshield wipers for free and they did it for me. Thank you aap!

Advanced Auto on Carlisle Pike Mechanicsburg next to Longhorns Steakhouse. I will go here for all my needs from this day forward. An employee - said his name was Anthony - helped me early on a Sunday morning and there should be more people like this guy on the world. Thanks Anthony for your kindness, time, great attitude, and assistance! You should be commended.

Generally have a positive interaction in these stores! Always get the product I need at a decent price with good service— like wipers installed even during a snow storm! ☺️

Got new rain-x windshield wipers and headlight bulbs. Had the wipers installed in a quick hurry. That's a blessing cuz they don't make sense to me!

Thanks to Anthony's outstanding service, I had a fantastic experience at the Advanced Auto Parts store. I am new to this area, and my car broke while shopping. He was incredibly knowledgeable about their products and took the time to help me find exactly what I needed for my vehicle and get me on the road. His friendly demeanor made the shopping experience enjoyable, and I felt confident about my purchase. It's great to see someone so dedicated to customer service! Great service. Dealership said we needed a new 12V battery, staff here tested and confirmed. They installed the battery and we were in just a few minutes. No nonsense, and saved me over $50 then going through the dealership.

Pretty bad return policies anymore and definitely not great customer service at this location. Advance Auto is definitely not like it was when I was growing up. I'll definitely be avoiding this Carlisle Pike location for now on and I'll tell you why. Last night I went in there on the way home from work and I went inside and I picked up the exact rear turn signal bulb I needed. I walked over to the counter and I asked the young man to verify me that it would fit. He assured me it was not the correct fit and went and got another one. This other one didn't look correct but I didn't ask questions right there. I walked outside and decided to walk right back, I said hey I did say this was a Wrangler and not a Grand Cherokee or anything right. He assured me a second time that this is the correct bulb for the wrangler. Of course when I got home it was not at all the correct bulb. I stopped in there before work this morning and the guy told me that they couldn't return opened bulbs even if they were never used. Ridiculous "policy" especially considering that your guy is the one that gave me this bulb and assured me twice it would fit. Anyway he did take the return as he should have (exchange) because I did end up with the correct part this time, yes It was the one that I had picked up the previous evening.. The employee copped an attitude with me though because I was upset at his telling me there was no way he could return it after their obvious mistake. Especially when it really wasn't that serious of a policy if he ended up taking the return. I'll tell you what I do work in customer service and sometimes it's easier to admit when you're wrong. It wasn't that big of a deal, I was there to buy the correct bulb this time anyway. Are we really struggling that seriously for money?

Scamming The guy who acting as the store manager I went there to charge working battery he says it’s not going to work and he almost forced me to buy new battery with liquid lithium leaks and the other workers said it is leaking but I didn’t heard it and next day I went to store after I saw the leak he offered another new leaking battery I told him it’s leaking I need my refund he refused so I called police for him but the police said as long no violence I can’t do anything and he advised me to go Mechanicsburg district judge and I will plus he blamed me in transportation the battery to my house I transferred wrong and new which it’s leaking inside he blamed the truck transport it wrong I guess he supposed be getting punished from owner before court he steal my money. And it damages my car seat I treated as person and transport it on my car seat the whole way which it’s two miles from the store to home

The guys here helped me in a pinch right around closing time. I was traveling through the area, about 1.5 hours from home when lights lit up on our dash. The guys here were in the middle of cleaning and closing, but made time to run a diagnostic on my car. Turned out our alternator needed to be replaced. They had one part left and were nice enough to set it aside for us to install the next day.

I needed a scanner to do my breaks to retract the piston in the caliper and I called in and explained to them what car I had and the employee told me he had something that will work and it’s 90 bucks so I said ok can you set it aside for me I went down there picked it up and I asked him will it work for my car before I paid for it and the employee told me yes it will. So I buy it take it home open it and hook it up and turns out it’s only for Volvo, Audi , and Mercedes. Cars that I do now own so call and the employee tells me he thought it would work he’s not familiar with them and I can not return it even though they told me it will work I can’t return it because it’s a computer. So I call corporate and explain the situation to the manager there and he tells me the guy should of never referred that product and says I still can not return it and there’s nothing they can do so I wasted 98 bucks with tax on a computer that I can not own I will never shop at this company again and I will be contacting better Business Bureau.

Needed a new wiper blade. The guy at the register offered to swap it out for me. He couldn’t figure out how to get the old one off, so I googled. It was pretty simple. Still glad I didn’t have to get my hands dirty. Wiper works great.

Amazing manager; i need new battery.its hard to take my battery out, he stop every and even another customer helping. They replace with happiness and quick!!!!

Went in here to get help with a wiper blade. Turns out grumpy old men are working here. Asked for help and got attitude from jesse. Then he slams the blade against my window after he finished. Will not be returning to this location again

Worst experience ever! Bought a fuel pump from this store that lasted 30 seconds. Quick working. Went back to a Hanover store for a refund. There they told me I had to go to the store I bought it from. So I did just that. Now I’m being told that all they can do is exchange it. If the first part didn’t work I don’t want another one. Stay away from these chain stores. They just want your money and won’t stand behind their products.

Guy who helped us was nice and polite and helpful. It's the only advance I prefer to go to, even tho it's one of the farthest ones from me, it's worth the gas and time to drive there. Also the place is always in order and stuff is always stocked.

Watch out! They will take advantage of you! Do your due diligence. My battery died in the neighboring parking lot. I walked in and they sold me one of their most expensive batteries. I asked for a cheaper version and he took me down a level saving me $10. He never offered the ones $50 and $100 cheaper! Do I really need a 4 year warranty on a battery for my 17 year old car? Then he refused to loan me a wrench but again offered to sell me one. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Wonder why mechanics get a bad rap? 3 words...Advance Auto Parts. Stay away!!!! Shame on you Jamey!

Needed batteries for my truck, the manager came out and tested them to make sure before he sold them to me and then came out and installed them for me. Straight shooters, very courteous and excellent customer service. I’ll be back to this store for sure

Service was sold a used part at a previous location little bits of metal inside the socket that could’ve been cleaned out spark plug socket five eights was good as new brand new just minor metal flakes and dirt inside the socket which I didn’t see until I returned the manager came out and told me he could not return a perfectly good part that just had some dirt inside the socket I suggest going to another one in Lemoyne or avoid advanced auto altogether seeing as though I bought this part in an emergency situation in Maryland around Ocean city argued with the guy and said that the shaft was too long and it wouldn’t fit. But I took a chance and sure enough it did not fit went to Ace hardware and got a standard 5/8 spark plug socket. All I did was take the socket out and position in the engine to see if it would work I did not use it at all I suggest going to a different advanced auto or auto zone and avoid this location whenever possible and if you are in an emergency make sure you get the proper part so you don’t have to return it. And I will never go to this one ever again

This place offers free battery testing but will not replace a bad battery for certain cars. What do they expect you to do??? Buy a battery from them, drive your car home and if you make it... change the battery once you get home? I went to the competition next door. They gave me a better price and installed my battery in less than 10 minutes.

Are all the employees here new? After a few visits with the same service, I'll go elsewhere. Not only do they not know car parts but they are plain lazy! Would rather tell you they don't have the part then to check and make an effort. Amazon is definitely the way to go if you can wait a couple days. Way cheaper, lists parts by car and easy returns.

Not the worst I have been in. Had to fight to return an item they sold me incorrectly. Called the office and had to have them call to tell the Manager to let me return it. I get that it can't be resold after it is cut, but it was not my mistake and it should have fixed without question. I'm sure I will still have to go here out of necessity sometime in the future, but for everything that I can I will avoid it.

I normally treat auto parts stores as just places to pick up parts if I need them today and know what I need. I went in today to pick up a hazard flasher and left 20 minutes later. The employees, though friendly, had no idea what the part was or where it was located. When they finally did find it, they brought me the exact part I was holding (I explained to them that I needed a low resistance one as I had upgraded to led lights). I'm not necessarily upset about bringing the wrong part since that may have been confusing, but am more frustrated with the sheer amount of time it took to even locate the part to begin with. If I didnt want to get the car to pass inspection quickly, I would have just ordered this on Amazon.

Great store! Had a wonderful experience in here this evening (12/3). Another location (Simpson Ferry) said they were unable to install my battery so I called this location. When I arrived, not only did both gentleman provide superior customer service but they also offered me a discount for the inconvenience imposed by the other location. I hadn't even complained, was just looking to get a battery installed. Was in and out quickly and absolutely loved the experience these guys provided. While I live right next to the other location, I'll willingly drive the extra couple miles for great service. Thank you!

No bull hassle and very friendly staff. I've been to many locations and these guys offer their free service without asking. I had battery problems and they offered free battery test. Determining alternator was problem, got new alternator and haven't had problem since. Yet the 4 prior mechanic shops couldn't figure this out.
