My insurance company referred me to CARSTAR for repair of my truck. I am very glad that they did. There service was friendly and very professional.

They told me my car would be ready January 2. It wasn't so I called and they told me that it is being totalled on January 5. Now they had been sending me updates reaffirming the completion date. They had the car from 11/26/25.

Navigating repairs to your vehicle is always challenging, but the staff here do their best to assist you every step of the way from coordinating with insurance and car rental if needed. Heather, Greg, and the rest of the staff were great to work with from start to finish. Heather kept me apprised of updates with parts and timing, and Greg went the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction when I picked up my car.

Excellent experience. They kept us informed from day one of our car going in to get repaired.

Greg and his team were the best. Friendly and professional in all aspects. Kept me abreast on how the work on my vehicle was progressing on a regular basis. The workmanship was outstanding. My vehicle looked like it had just rolled off the assembly line when I picked it up! Would highly recommend.

The only positive thing I guess overall was working with Heather. She was very professional kind and deserves recognition other than that sitting in the waiting room, listening to drama and disrespect, wasn’t my idea of waiting for a rental car. Maybe the buckle on right side was fixed would have been nice too the car was hit on this side

The entire process of getting my car repaired was very easy. I appreciated the daily updates regarding where they were in the repair process. Highly Recommend

Greg, the service manager, went above and beyond for me. The parts did not come in as expected and I was paying for a rental out of pocket. The day they told me of finishing, was delayed another day. He called a local dealer, parts were received and installed.5 hours before Car Star closed He called on this rainy cold evening, asking when we be there. He had my finished car started, with the heat on. Gave me a credit for the extra day rental Just amazing. A rare jester in today's world. With much appreciation.

Needed a good repair where a box truck backed into the car. Carstar at Fred Bean was seamless in scheduling, communication and working with insurance. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely use them again (I hope I don’t have to though:)

Excellent service from Carstar. Heather communicated at every step of my repairs, my car was done way faster than originally expected, and the customer service was top notch. We also purchased our newest car from the Kia dealership (attached to Carstar) and they truly prioritized our needs! Highly recommend.

I would NEVER recommend Fred Beans Kia / CarStar unless you love lack of communication and overall expectations. I was in an accident but also needed my car inspected and some other work done, I thought I could get both taken care of around the same time to avoid being without a car WRONG. To start Tonya, believe front desk? Rude. After speaking with Leo I hadn’t heard anything for about a week so decided to call in, Tonya answered the phone and essentially said my car wouldn’t be done for 3 weeks which really caught me off guard becuase no one else had been communicating at all. Then Greg, “owner”, got involved and would call around 445pm and make remarks like “you know we work late around here to ensure our customers the best service”. Do that mean giving back a filthy car and messing up the decal on the trunk? I take call through my employer and work weekends, it’s really not a competition if you LITERALLY are open until 6pm. From the start I spoke with CarStar and Kia to ensure my vehicle could just take taken over to Kia and inspected, of course they didn’t do that, I was the one doing all of the communication. Then my car was pushed about an entire week after I was told it would be ready for a Friday pickup, which of course meant I would miss my inspection appointment. I tried to reschedule but it would have been pushed too far out. I also realized I wasn’t even comfortable with this facility keeping my car, just overall lack of communication and basic job functions. When I then got my car I was shocked, it literally looked like someone had been wood working in my car, no one cleaned one thing up after themselves. Also the Sorrento isn’t straight on my trunk from whoever was working on it. The only positive experience is insurance covered the cost.

Great customer service and communication! They provided me with real-time updates throughout the entire process. The CSR, Tonya and Estimator, Heather were an absolute pleasure to work with! They both made my experience a great one!

I have been to a lot of body shops and unfortunately had a couple of accidents and I have NEVER had the service like I did here at CARSTAR Fred Beans. Not only was everyone exceptionally kind but the level of care and commitment to my needs and guaranteed satisfaction is like nothing I’ve experienced from any car services. Great job! From the moment we called to have our vehicle repaired, to all the flawless help, the care, the courtesy from everybody that works there. They made us feel like we were the only customer and we were more important than anybody. The job they did is spectacular, and they always do an amazing job.

Had an accident and my insurance company gave me several options to repair my car. I choose Fred Beans Mechanicsburg partly because I had purchased the car there and had a very positive buying experience. Firstly,let me say that the repairs were excellent. Also, the staff was courteous and professional. They promised a completion within three days and delivered as promised. I highly recommend them without hesitation.

Fred Beans is Awesome! Great customer service! You are constantly getting text messages about your car from start to finish. There is no wondering what is going on, where they are at with your car. I hit a deer on April 5th with my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe. The repairs took slightly longer than first estimated, but Heather sent regular updates on the status of the repairs. I was extremely happy with the final new look. I would highly recommend CARSTAR Fred Beans Mechanicsburg.

Heather was extremely helpful during this challenging time. She regularly kept us updated on the status of our vehicle and was very empathetic to our situation. The maintenance crew did a phenomenal job repairing my truck, I was initially concerned that the color match on the replaced panel wouldn’t look the same as the rest of the paint on our four year vehicle, but it did. CARSTAR did an outstanding job! I highly recommend!!

So my experience with this company was the worst i have ever experienced! I had my F150 truck to this company for repairs due to collision. Took them from June 3 until August 12. Lack of communication! They had my vehicle in for almost 3 weeks and no call to find out what’s the ETA on getting it fixed! I had to call in to inquire on the process! Also they don’t follow through with calls or work. Myself and my husband asked them in 2 different occasions to replace the other 3 tires and I’ll pay for knowing that I will need to replace them ! Nothing was done! All I got was a call from them telling me my truck is ready ! They left 2 scratches/scafmarks and a small dent on the tailgate telling me that’s wear and tear! My truck had no scratches no damages prior to the accident, garage kept very well maintained. Extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend to anyone! Don’t waste your time with them. I would have expected since my vehicle is a Ford and they are run by a Ford dealership that they would respect my vehicle! Pictures for reference! First 2 pictures after them telling me it’s wear and tear! The manager Greg wanted me to bring it back to look and compare photos! I have a very busy work schedule and I shouldn’t have to drive 40 minutes out my way ! This matter should have been resolved from the beginning! Not waste my time !

I was in an accident in the area but I live 125 miles away. The staff was very understanding, helpful and polite. They had very good communication with my insurance company and kept me informed as to the updates as they unfolded. If your ever in need of a collision service I highly recommend them!

Great shop one of the best in my opinion. Will be back there for more work. Communication was great and they let me know every step of the way. The truck went in looking the pictures and when I got back it look like nothing happened and the paint was a perfect match. I had come back a month later due to a rear end collision again

Took my car to Car Star considering I got it from Fred Beans Kia, it was at the collision center for 3 weeks I will say communication during the first week was a bit slow but picked up afterwards. I started receiving text message updates the following week and received my car on the third week. My bumper was cracked and the windshield wiper reservoir had fallen out. When I picked up my car it looked brand new like nothing even happened and the gentleman Greg who explained everything to me was very patient and kind. I am happy to have my car back and I’m happy with the repairs that the guys at the shop did.
