Store was good, staff ignored us at register while they talked to someone not buying anything.. then didn't really even talk to us while we checked out. Certainly not the normal behavior of the staff..
To be honest, I really don’t know why people go here. Every location is filthy, smelly and frankly the stuff is almost always trashy. Like an excessive amount of broken or heavily stained items. It seems like the stuff that ends up here, is too gross for goodwill or worse, Salvation Army, which is saying something. I’m glad I don’t live out here, if this was my options for thrifting, I never would.
Ebay or worse better off going to goodwill or salvation army
Games are priced higher than gamestop
The clothes are mostly walmart purchased used clothes that are somehow price higher that if they were new

I went to that store to return something that I bought from the store. The 'Lady' behind the counter started yelling they smell, they smell, I can't do it, I can't do it! She made another employee come up to the counter. She threw the clothes into the garbage that I returned, continued to loudly complain about me while there were six people in line behind me. I asked for a gift card, she said I had to purchase items. I was 15 minutes in the store. During the 15 minutes she never stopped complaining loudly. I could hear her in the back of the store. All I have to say is grow up lady, you are 65 years old (at least) also have some respect for yourself and others. Not Cool! She should be fired!
I see a ton of people complaining about customer service it's a thrifty store how much customer service do you really need get your items pay for it and then leave so what if you have to deal with a cranky employee you really think they want to be there working at a thrifty store give them a break you're getting items 50 60 70% off stop complaining
Always enjoyed this store. However management leaves a sour taste in my mouth.your reviews are ludicrous. For customers to think they are always right no matter what race is disgusting. I have stopped shopping there and will not go back. Shame on you and rescue mission. You need to rehire the person you wrongly terminated due to heresaystep up to the plate now. Sales have diminished.
It’s clean & organized. The people working there are pleasant & helpful. I’ve shopped here several times since moving to the area & have always had a good experience & usually have found a ‘find’ -happy shopper ?
Everything is carefully grouped and respectfully displayed here. A total pleasure to go thrifting here. Sales clerk was very friendly. I make it a point to stop here when I am in the area.
I have to say that I’m very disappointed in how this place has gone down hill. It used to be run well with excellent customer service. Yesterday I donated a carload full of items and not only did no one offer to help me lug them into the store (I’m a senior citizen!), but they never even acknowledged or thanked me for my generous donation. It’s disappointing and I won’t bother to bring them any more donations.
This doesn't even need a one star. I went here tonight an I had a lady call my daughter's boyfriend the N-word an me a crazy B. Because I was visiting a friend that works in this plaza, I met her at the back of the building, there was so much glass I couldn't avoid driving over it, so I tried to clean as much as I could so I didn't get it stuck in my tires. She came out saying I shouldn't be back there an the glass was there so the employees couldn't park back there. So I went in the store to get her name an corporate's phone number, the lady behind the counter said she couldnt give me any information. She was not even a arm length from me , she wasn't even wearing a mask, with customers in the store yelling calling me crazy B an my daughter's boyfriend the N-word . I also told her that there is glass infront of the store .I got her picture, an contact corporate. She should not be working there
Staff was friendly. Went in looking for a few baby or toddler toys for twin 6mo olds, a 2 yr old and 3 yr old. Left with several cute shirts new with tags and a good amount of books
Thrifty Shopper is by far my favorite. I always find great treasures there. Prices are far more reasonable than other thrift stores and 25% off on Tuesday. It is a win win for me!!!
Absolutely disgusted with the customer service at the cicero location. I had 1 black garbage bag of clothes to donate to them.. I went to the counter and asked if I could please have help because I’m 34 weeks pregnant and did not want to lift the bag. The lady at the counter rudely said “I can’t lift that either and neither can she” pointing to the lady next to her behind the counter. A customer offered to help me and she said to the customer “you shouldn’t be lifting that either.” Thankfully some gentlemen heard this conversation as I struggled to ask for help and offered to get the bag out of the trunk for me. I will just keep in mind that karma works it’s ways with people like this who are so uncaring?
