No issues in the past here. Will be looking for a new bottle return. Asked about all the barcoded beer cans (Founders all day) that all of the sudden no longer scan since I was just given the amount that scanned. Given the explanation that "sometimes they adjust what they take" BS, they kept the cans that didn't scan and weren't going to say anything. Won't be back.
I usually like this place but today I arrived there and the sign said out to lunch be back at 3:30. I didn't mind waiting until that time. I was there until 4:15 and still there was no one there I gave up and loaded my bottles back into my vehicle. There were two other people that did the same. I have been coming here for years and have never seen this happen, I will try again since this is the only place I go. If I find myself in the same situation I will look for someplace new.
We've been twice the last 2 weeks with large loads from a bottle drive and honestly the staff themselves were professional and helpful but what we noticed was that they throwing A LOT of cans in the "not deposit" box when they had a .05 deposit on it. When questioned, the young man said he was instructed not to accept anything without a bar code. I asked him to return them back to us and we left with a full 13oz bag that another company easily accepted. Is this company getting the return on these "throw away" cans while not giving anything to the consumer that had to pay for the deposit at purchase?
My total return was for $22.00 exact, the lady didnt give me a receipt and handed me the money folded. I assumed all the money was there and got home to see i only got $11.00 from them. I called and got cursed out by the lady over the phone. I will be contacting the head manager. Do not go here!
Got here 30 minutes before close and was told they couldn't take my cans. Brunette lady with ponytail proceeded to throw her keys when I said I'd wait.
Went there today did t look busy but as I was getting bags of bottles from my car a gentleman hollered that they were closing for lunch. It was almost 2. The reason I waited to avoid lunch ######
The brunette woman with glasses working inside was incredibly rude and used profane language to insult us for coming in near closing time. She also told other customers they were already closed when they weren’t. The customer service is horrid.
This was a Quick and efficient, great location . Our go to place .
Last 2 times we went , Tuesday well before closing and they were closed. Just went there today at noon 10/27 and lights on , someone inside and sign on the door saying closed . Didn't say for lunch or anything , just closed. Very disappointed.
I’ve been going here for years it was great till they got this new machine. Now the machines broken and they can’t handle five bags of bottles counting by hand. I got turned away because I had too many bottles.
Must be under new management or something because lately this location is clean, friendly and efficient. Used to be filthy in there and staff was grumpy before. Now it's a good place to go. And the guy in there now is quick and helpful.
Very friendly and helpful. The gentleman working there helped me with the door when I came in (I was carrying four large full trash bags of cans). I gave him my total , but he counted them anyway and I ended up having 12 more cans than I thought. Honest, hard-working people!
I literally just walked out of there and left all my bottles. One person working, tons of people waiting, zero service, never go there again. Second time that's happened to me there. I will find a new place. You should do the same. So much better when Fred owned it.
I guess they can't count just brought a whole pick up truck full of bottle's cans cases and received $21 not even worth my time, thanks but I will go somewhere that the person can count
Last two times visited have not gone well. Went there and unloaded a truck-load of bottles and, after waiting for the to open and then drag the bottles inside, was told they didn’t have room for glass...had to load the truck back up and take the bottles elsewhere. Most recent visit went there during normal hours and no one was there - doors were locked... no longer my primary spot to take returns. Will look for somewhere else that is more reliable.
Says it's open till 6. It's 5:15pm and they're CLOSED. Nothing on the door to indicate why. All the lights are on and the door is locked. Don't bother with this place, there's many more places in Cicero to take your bottles
I will never be coming back here to service as horrible as she’s not a pleasant girl and they rip you off I had five large bags and one extra large bag and they were all full and I got $21 if I went to the place I usually went I would’ve got about 60 so that’s $40 of my own money that I didn’t even get I if I could give it zero stars I would
Here we sit at 11:07am on a Sunday. Door and google say opens at 11am and no one to be found. Might wanna find staff that can open your store on time...guess I'm on a hunt to find a different store. Sad because I've always gone to this store for my returns my entire life.
Can’t return bottles if they aren’t open. Google said opened at 10, got there at 10:56. The sign on the door said open at 11. At 11:15 there was still no one at the facility and the doors were locked.
Never going back to Cicero bottle and can center again because of poor customer service The employee working at that time told us as we open up the door that he turned off the sign and that he was closing the store because there was too many people in line when there was only one person in line so we went back to our car and watched a Nother gentleman walk into the store and he excepted that gentleman and excepted his cans are use cans to help me with my benefits that I need for my money and I was not OK for that employee to close the store when there was still 30 minutes left of store operation
Special thanks to Dom! The dude was there holding down the fort by himself after someone had to leave for an emergency and still maintained a friendly demeanor. Always go here for returns.
TERRIBLE! I would NOT recommend this place. The worst customer service! The owners and people are rude. We usually bring a truck load of bottles and cans twice a year. This time we unloaded our bags and they told us that we should have called with a very rude attitude. They were making us wait as they took other customers who came in after us! I've never been treated like a second class citizen before in my life. This could have and should have been handled in a more professional and curtious manner. They've NEVER told us in the past to call first. I would be more understanding if they did. To be treated so disrespectfully when I was giving them business was appalling. They should be thankful for every customer who walks through the door. Not them. They've lost my business and everyone else I know. They don't deserve your business either!
awesome place, bring a truckload and you're in and out in no time.... and they don't b!tch about your cans/bottles not being spotless like other places do....don't go anywhere else and be sure to tip!
