Be careful, check your receipts and count how many things you're paying for. I was paying a lot, and when I checked, I realized I'd been charged for many things I didn't have.
I had an situation arise while traveling and needed to get to the closest hardware store as soon as possible. I was shocked by the size of the store and the number of products they carried, they had so much more than I expected. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Great store!
Pretty much have anything you could possibly need. Better customer service then chain stores in the sense that they have knowledgable staff stationed in each section. But its also not necessarily cheaper.
This place is better than the big box stores. I went looking for a VERY specific plumbing item without a part ID or Number. Big Box places were clueless. This place didn't have it in stock, but had the EXACT chart on how to identify what I had so I could get exactly what I needed ordered. This is my new favorite hardware store in the area.
Very informative and professional staff ready to assist and help you. Every aisle has designated staff for assistance, not like Home Depot or lowes to keep looking for help. Customer service is amazingly helpful, nitty-gritty, and has answers to your questions.

I purchased a kitchen set an they delivered the kitten set with no box An no plastic around the item I will never purchase from this company again such a big company An they couldn’t wrap up my kitchen set I’m in total shock…! The never called that they were on there way for delivery they just showed up, An the sales person fixing my paper when I purchased this item was so rude An had such a nasty face..So irresponsible An negligent!! I was told this company was great I guess they were confused horrible experience.
To bad this don’t have 0 recommendations they deserve that these employees that don’t speak English should be more polite it’s not our fault they decided not to learn English. As customers we wanted sliding doors an it bothered the so called employee to put her phone down an show us were it was those ugly doors not even worth it!
Great company for ordering interior doors. Measured and replaced all doors. They dont actually put them in but they provided recommendations for local installers which was helpful
Love this place but what the heck is going on? I've been calling since 3:50Pm they keep answering saying hello in a strange voice and hanging up on me. I must of called 30 times and every time was the same thing. Must be employees messing around. Gotta get rid of who is doing this.
After looking high and low for cabinets for a small kitchen, Continental beat everyone else's price by far, and with delivery included. The ordering process was easy (they even helped work out some space concerns) and everything was delivered a whole week earlier than anticipated. Five stars in my book.
Found the exact exterior door that I needed here that I could not find in Home Depot or Lowes. The price was good and In addition, the customer service experience was great.

I came here to get my mailbox key copied; the previous three places i went to for this couldn't make precise copies and the keys didn't fit the lock. The keys copied here are perfect matches and fit the lock perfectly. The customer service was very helpful as well
Great place !! Pierre was a lovely manager . Chock full of everything you need for you home. Paints , lighting , beautiful fireplace mantel.

I've only experienced purchasing kitchen cabinets here and they were excellent. Mike is the man. He hooked it up as far as drawing it out and helping w the selections. He would even send someone to ur house to get the exact measurements. They will deliver the cabinets for me also. Great place.

XLENT customer service. Knowledgeable people in every department, will answer all your questions, unlike the biggest hardware/? store. It a 30 minute drive for me, but you leave there prepared for your project, with everything you'll need. No running back/forth. This is my only store for anything concerning my house.

Went to buy a thermocouple for my boiler. Lady at service desk told me to go to isle 2 but I couldn't find it so I asked a gentleman in another area who told me to see Carlos in isle 1. Carlos was able to provide me with what I needed and was very nice and professional.
If there would be a 6 star rating I would absolutely give it with our a blink of an eye because of ADAM.
For some one who has been in the industry for 20 years I can only say that ADAM is the only reason why I shop there. After shopping at many supply stores in the boroughs I look absolutely no further.
He is a very skilled , professional and courteous individual who knows his stock in and out. When he says delivery is coming at x in the am or y in the pm , you better believe that delivery is there. Sometimes I am surprised of how he multi tasks at the same time and makes sure your product is on your job dispatched on time.
It is a very rare find to deal with a sales person like ADAM who is very knowledged about the product he sells. Having an experienced customer service is an asset to the company.

If you need a real hardware store this is it. Recommend it to all my industrial and contractor friends. Well equipped store, good quality stuff it's worth checking it out. Also very impressive Stihl equipment selection and logging apparel.
Continental Hardware may not have the glitz of Lowes or even Home Depot, but they have all the hardware and supplies I have needed.
I have purchased electrical supplies, shovels, ant traps, adhesives, plumbing supplies, tools, lumber you name it. They have always had whatever I needed.
The staff is very knowledgeable and always seem to know where everything is, regardless of who I asked.
The only (slight) negative is the procedure for buying lots and/or large pieces of lumber is tedious, as you have to go out to their lumber yard adjacent to the main building and you have go through their inventory/checkout system using slips of paper. Maybe of someone did it often, like a contractor, it wouldn't seem so onerous. But for one time events it's kind of annoying.
Otherwise, I always try to shop at Continental for my home repair supplies. It's a great store.
Would get 5 stars but customer service is extremely aloof. Other than that it's a diamond in the rough. They have everything from industrial construction tools and materials to wine making products. Definitely worth stopping in .
Service is horrible. We purchased a garage door this past weekend from this company. Went back the following business day to inform them parts are missing from the installation packet. Was told we didn't know what we are doing. Never doing business there again. Lost a family of customers purchasing from you over 20 years.
I didn't have time to check out much of the store but it was very refreshing to shop in a big-box sized hardware store that wasn't a Home Depot or Lowe's. I'm excited to take a good look around soon and unless I find major problems, I expect to change my review to 5 stars.
Went to the store on Sunday to buy paint. Overall was a great experience. However, I inquired about a price of bathroom cabinet set and they quoted me a price. I agreed to the price and then when we called this morning to make arrangements to pick it up we were told that there was a mistake in the price. They would not honor the original price. Terrible business practices. I will never shop there again nor will I recommend anyone go there either. If anything changes I will update my post.
this hardware store is ok. i been there 2x. some employees on the floor have nasty attitude. today i whent there for some aluminum tape. i ask the employee mixing paint, where can i find aluminum tape...he said he is busy...to wait my turn..i told him does he know the aisle number...he caugth a nasty attitude said "whats is your problem u dont see i am busy.." i told him is just a question, take it easy...the first time i whent there another employee gave me a attitude also, when i when looking for pluming supplys..never i will go there again. i rather drive half hour to home depot or lowes......much better service!
