What clients say about Speedy Tires in Newark (NJ)
Says they are open until 8pm, that’s a lie. I drove my truck on a flat tire bc they were supposed the only place in the Ironbound that closes late. I got there little before 7:30 and the gate down and they was closed. I called before I went and they don’t answer the phone. I should’ve know then but I figured there were busy and took a chance. I was super annoyed luckily a nice gentleman had a portable air pump. I was able to get air hold me up until I got to another tire shop.
I called ahead and checked online to make sure this tire shop was open until 8pm and, as it clearly states. I showed up just before 7:30, only to find no one in sight. They’re closed at 7:25, but nowhere online did it mention that!
If you’re going to post one time on the internet, at least make sure your business is actually following it. I wasted my time driving all the way here, only to be met with empty promises. Terrible customer service, zero accountability, and utterly unreliable.
Find another shop that values their customer’s time! I won’t be back.
Don't come to this place, horrible experience, two new guys are rude and rip you off cause you're a female. Got my wheel fixed and I asked them to check the tire as they didn't remove it before patching it and they Said they already saw the problem, next fay my wheel was flat again when I went back he said I probably did something to it and charged me again. Huge waist of time, I used to come to this spot prior when other staff worked and they always got the job done.
Not from around there but got a flat in the area, purchased what was said to be a brand new tire for $130..next day the brand new tire was flat..brought it to another shop and there were NUMEROUS holes in it and so I had to buy another new one…I called them to request a refund for the so called new tire they sold me and no one even answers the phone..how do you scam people when it can cost their life??
So a small place but you get speedy service no hard sells no appointments.fix any tire issues , new tires, alignment and reasonable prices. Old school curbside service.
Went in yesterday to get my front two tires replaced. Thought everything went fine until i was driving on a major highway the next day and my tire came off completely. I almost got into a really bad car accident because of this. Got my car towed back to them and was told my the towing company that they did not put the tire on correctly and did not tighten the bolts enough. They refused to pay the Towing charge, refund me for the tire replacement and they were extremely rude and dismissive. Please do not come here if you value your vehicles safety.
bought new tires went to get them put on my car the guys there tried to keep my new tires and give me used ones. u gotta watch them doin the work bc they try to rob you. worst place in newark by far.
Hours of operation are not correct! I got a flat drove there sat in my car for over an hour! Says they open at 7 am and it was 8 am when guy appeared! He was very unpleasant did not great me nor the lady that was there ! Asked him about the hours he did not apologize! Really didn’t not like the employee. I have dealt with them in the past on my cars and have sent many customers there way! But I do need to rethink before going back!
I took my suv there for a tire rotation, I ended up leaving there without the tire rotation and with a BROKEN wheel lock key! Now I have to pay for a wheel lock key out of my pocket. Never going back again!
Showed up at 7:30 (30 minutes before they closed) because my tire was leaking air and they said all the could do is put air in the tire because they close at 8.
