Overage charges are random and they will charge you if the lid on the container is barely cracked. They also will show up random times on the pick up date so you never know when they are coming.

Terrible customer service. They only had virtual chat available and two of the three people I dealt with were rude and disconnected before I was truly finished. I don't feel like my questions were answered. I was dismissed with a solution that could possibly not work for everyone or any concern for the customer at all. It is easy to be terrible when you are the only option. Sad but true for some many businesses and people these days.

The service is great but the price is extremely high. I pay more than my neighbor does for the exact same container size.

Customer service is bad. Asked if i could get a smaller 64 gallon container, they said it was not possible. Had to pay $90 to cancel my account for the container pick up. Asked if I could drop off the container, they said it was not possible.

This is for our business. We have issues with damages doors to our corral from the trucks. As well they leave the doors open on every pickup and skip pick-ups for easy to resolve issues.

I'm happy with the service I receive from Waste Management. My driver is great and takes good care of my account. I would have given 5 stars, but my service cost has increased each month for the last 4 months. I'm retired and live alone, so I rarely generate more than 2 kitchen trash bags of trash per week. To see these monthly price increases doesn't add up. Gas prices are coming down, which lowers operating costs. Monthly price increases are just too much.

So wm as a whole was good company when they were affordable. 25 was a great price. Now im paying 45 a month at best. The drivers are great guys honestly. But dealing with corporate is unfortunately unforgiving. They promised an extra pickup that never came. Trash was left on my street for 2 weeks. The 2nd week was only me but thats apparently because I had late fees that had backed up even though I had paid the initial bill. My god don't forget to pay the late fees that add up EVERY DAY. Till you pay it. Then God forbid that they give you a break. Why sir no we cant refund the 300 dollar late fee we understand that you've had a hard time. Pregnant wife who's been sick in bed and the flu under the whole household and you're the only one working? Please sir what's your debit card number? What a joke. Application for your phone is a joke as well. Try to login to pay your bill is like pulling teeth. The app fails 95% of the time. Can't get numbers through it, accidentally poke bill pay twice, 2 screens pop up and bog down your ram causing more application slowness and until you close the extra window that you don't know is there will continue to do so.

Scheduled a bulk item for the end of the month and pickuos were cancelled due to weather. They came the follwing week to get the trash from the cancelled date and took the cans but did not pick up bulk item. Have called repeatedly to try to speak with a real pwrson to get the bulk item picked up and can not get in touch with a real person at all.

My recycling hasn’t been picked up since before Christmas. I’m paying for a service that’s not being performed when you call you get an automated system and you end up on hold for 20 or 30 minutes or as long as I guess you can stand to listen to their automated system, never once got a hold of a single person to take care of this matter you leave a message online on their website and they do nothing because it still hasn’t been picked up very unhappy

Delusional. They missed a pickup. I called. They said they picked it up and proceeded to send me an image of them picking up trash at someone else's home. They told me I could pay extra to have them come back and pick it up. Our billing cycle ended at the end of October. My wife spent 45 minutes on hold attempting to cancel the service, and never spoke to anyone and the call disconnected. I called two weeks later attempting to cancel, but they wouldn't let me because I "wasn't on the bill." Then we got a new bill for the current billing period, even though we never set out trash on those pick up days. My wife finally got through to them, and they told us they wanted us to pay for them to come pick up the can. The can was in the home when we moved in. We didn't ask for the can. I never told them to bring it to me, yet for some reason they think I should pay for service I didn't receive and to pick up their can that I never asked for. I just got another bill from WM and they added another $57.80 to my previous balance, listed as "current invoice charge." Apparently it's impossible to cancel service and they just keep charging money. Quite the scam they have running. Don't answer the phone so people can't cancel, and then when they eventually do answer the phone and try to cancel, don't really cancel the account and send another bill asking for more money. At least I was able to find another company to pick up my trash, cheaper than what WM charged. WM did offer to match the price, I've had so much fun with WM I can't imagine anything better than continuing this abusive relationship.

The absolute worst trash service I have ever had in 25 years of owning a home. We’ve been here a month; and they have never picked up our recycling, and have missed FIVE pickup dates already. The drivers will out right lie and say containers are not out when they were put out the night before. Customer Service acts friendly, but is useless. Do NOT go with this company for your trash and recycling services.

I think it’s ridiculous that customers have to pay $6 service charge just because they don’t want to share their bank account numbers. Accounts are breached all the time and I choose not to share that info. It’s harder to change your bank records than to replace charge cards.

The level of customer service is an absolute joke. The chat feature, which I used four times, provides no real assistance on solving a false charge by WM to me. I also called the 800 on four occasions and was only able to reach two people, one who hung up on me and the other who transferred me to a different "department" that went straight to voicemail. It was THE MOST frustrating experience of customer service in my entire life. I will NEVER do business with a company with such poor service.

Beware. They have 2,673 BBB complaints in the last 3 years. 838 just in the last 12 months. I wish I would have known that before I signed up for trash service from Waste Management.

It has definitely been a challenge I do appreciate the consistency with the schedule but it's nearly impossible to actually speak to a live person with concerns,there's been several times my trashcan was left half emptied despite not being completely full. The inconsistency in my billing is also a major issue because I'm being charged a late fee despite being on auto pay!Kind of sucks essential services are dealt with this way 😔

We received a bill for about $14.00 for what Waste Management called “container overload”. After reviewing the picture sent to us of our "overloaded" trash can we took our normal walk through our subdivision. We can honestly say that AT LEAST 20 of the containers were overloaded the same or more than ours. We wondered if ALL of these people would be receiving overload charges. We stopped and asked some of them if they had ever received this charge. To our surprise, they all said no. One person told us..."Just tip the driver a $20 every couple of months and they will remember you and look the other way regarding the rules.” Sounds to us like your policy is not being enforced fairly. It is not right to be selective about who you penalize.

Had trash cans out for 2 consecutive Tuesdays for pickup. As of last Wednesday morning (10/8), still not emptied... l get back home from being out of town this Wednesday eve (10/14). Hopefully they've been emptied by now. NOT the first time this has happened...

We used them for years with no complaints! Then all of the sudden, they were missing over 50% of our pick ups. I was having to call each week, and if you didn't call within 24 hrs (their policy) of the missed pick up there was "nothing they could do." Multiple times it was marked as "blocked" by the crew when it was in the exact same place (with no obstructions) as it always was. Finally it was just too much to have to call constantly and fight that it wasn't actually blocked...we had to leave the company. I don't know if management changed or what, but I'd rather pay $2 more a month to go with the other company available and not have to worry about whether they'll actually come.

This company has a monopoly (signed contract with the city/county) in this city and county we are in. We are not allow us to do business with any other waste disposal company. I have communicated with customer service and some others at the local office who are fairly nice but the driver who drives our route is rude and does what he wants. We have requested at time range they will be onsite. Customer Service has been accommodating put it in the notes but the driver doesn't adhere to it. Any communication between driver and my staff have not gone well at all; my staff reports he is rude when trying to speak with him. There was an instance once where when onsite he ran into our bollard causing damage. Never acknowledged the damage and he scuffed up the truck big time.

Unfortunately I have to use wm because they are the only ones who service my area. Price has trippled in the last 7 years. I only put trash out every 2 to 3 weeks. They refuse to let me be billed monthly, so I have to pay by the year. I am not going to call and waste my time this year on hold to get a cheaper price. Instead you get a 1 star review and your check.

I used to really like waste management till they got a new driver and all he has caused me is more stress. He said it’s his discretion as to whether he picks up my trash or not, and he will not pick up trash if cars are parked on our street. Whereas the rest of the subdivision is allowed to have cars parked on it. Our street is not a dead end. I’ve had to roll my trash to the end of the street for him to pick up because he would not turn on it

Just started with this company a month ago. Today they missed a pickup of my recycle, but picked up the trash. When I called to report it, says they picked it up but they didn’t. Can’t get ahold to the office at 4pm because nobody is in the office. VM says open till 4:30. Mailbox is full so I couldn’t leave a message. Haven’t been able to log into my online account because it was never synched by the office. VERY DIFFICULT TO GET HUMAN ASSISTANCE WITH THIS COMPANY. We switched from another company due to similar issues, but I have no problem cancelling this service as well if we are just going to have the same problems here. At least at our last place you could easily get a person on the phone.

I find WM to be very reliable. Usually, if they are going to be delayed on a scheduled pickup, they will advise their customers. One thing I take exception to is the fact that we are no longer permitted to leave boxes next to the cans. All boxes have to be broken down and put inside the cans to be picked up. I am elderly and I have arthritis in both hands so this can be very painful for me to do, but I do follow the rules. Three houses over from me, there is a young gentleman who often puts many unbroken down boxes beside his can, and for some reason, they are always picked up even though they weren’t broken down and put inside the can. He is in much better shape to break them down than I am, yet he gets away without doing it. Maybe exceptions can be made for older customers in the future.

I’ve been a customer with WM for a few years now after Bob’s Disposal went out of business. While the prices were not super cheap, the service was consistent weekly pickups. In an effort to lower my costs, I decided to make the switch to American Eagle. Terminating my services with WM has been nothing but a pain, multiple phone calls to get to the right individual, misinformation provided by at least two people with customer service, $75 termination fee to pick up their rollaway tote, confirmed they would prorate the service for July but then received a bill for the full month. Customer service will flat out lie to you.

It's trash collection. I appreciate the collection/truck workers. Without sanitation workers society would fall apart. The payment fees and the app leave some to be desired (consistently logged out for no reason, price increases, bulk pickup being outrageously priced). I am also not sure our recycleable
