Went in for a front-end noise . Took 2 days to diagnose the problem. $1,100 ( $400. On ties) later I drove out of their parking lot with the exact same noise. They offered to keep it yet again, I declined & brought it to another mechanic who actually fixed it for $40 I'm very disappointed at the time I wasted over there

These guys are fantastic and the service is excellent. They are helpful and informative. I spoke with Rick who helped me decide on a set of winter tires. They are the only tire shop I know of that will store your summer tires during winter, and your winter tires during summer. This is a very helpful service to include. I'm going here for tires from now on.

Trusting a full-service independent mechanic once you are out-of warranty and are over dealer pricing and service is a trust fall! Hurry up and fall! Direct Tire is not a franchise or chain, it’s a family business. Need a flat fixed? Drive over (early) and they’ll have you in and out. Have a major failure? Have it towed directly there and get back on the road same-week. Direct Tire specializes in service, communication, and honesty. They also have all the tools and a long-time pool of mechanics who are serious, careful, and trained. Expect thoughtful guidance - like when a good aftermarket part is suitable or stronger - or when you need to spend on OEM crtical parts. And always expect fair, honest pricing and loyalty. No need to name names because top-down, from the very active and hands-on/eye-on owner… through the service team… and on to the mechanics, these folks respect their clients and the vehicles they work on. I’m a long-time tire and occasional customer who built trust; and for a few years DT has been my only auto shop. My luxury full-size SUV just had a failure. AAA bright it straight to DT on Monday… and I had it back Friday evening. It runs like when I bought it, and the work was diagnosed throughly and done smarty. Gracious owner and loyal team.

I always have a great experience at Direct Tire & Auto. Doug and the rest of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The estimated time for service to be completed is spot-on so my day stays on schedule. I highly recommend them!

Salesman, Doug, was knowledgeable helpful and friendly. He ordered my tires and made appointment. The disappointment was when the mechanic sent me a video showing my brakes which they felt needed lots of replacement parts. Since I had brakes cleaned and serviced a week earlier, I was in disbelief. So I showed video to tesla service center mechanics. They showed me how different their brakes work from a gas car and they had plenty of Life left. Direct tire is trying to increase service revenue through a scam.

Hazzle-free overnight drop off for next day rotation of Summer to Winter tires. Service was done in reasonable time and received a text to pick up the car. Can't be more simple! Excellent!

This place is the best. They juggle lots of customers with patience and provide great customer service. Rick was great to deal with both times I had flat tires!

My wait for my car was long, but the staff were very nice and helpful. Ultimately, they did not find a problem with my tires so did not charge me for the assessment they did.

I’ve been working with Direct Tire for over 30 years and can sum it up by saying terrific quality of work, great value; the team goes above and beyond any service expectations, plus they care about your problem and outcome. Recently my tire went flat at 3 pm on a Friday. My special low profile tire was no available till Monday. Within 2 hours they retrieved my snow tires from off site storage and switched all tires to winter (just in time for the first winter freeze). That’s service!

Direct Tire in Watertown always do a great job for our family. The best part about them is their staff. The friendly staff people solve problems and communicate clear info. They also help me clearly understand the cost and seek solutions that are cost-effective. They are good people who do great work on time and I am glad to be a customer.

First time visiting Direct Tire and the customer service from the staff was amazing. Bob runs an incredible team, Susan is the pinnacle of customer service and Fabio is amazing with wheels. Will definitely be coming back. Got new wheels and winter tires.

Convenient, reliable, consistent - everything you want in a great tire shop. We do annual seasonal tire change overs for all our cars, where they store our wheels and tires and each season they do the switch over. My back isn't what it used to be and it takes forever to do it myself so grateful they offer this service. Also tires are super reasonably priced and if you include service charges etc for free balancing, seasonal changeover, free repairs, it actually beats the online tire stores. I have been taking my cars there since I was a student in Boston so over 20 years!!

Came in for winter tire changeover. Was told at 2pm that they were a man down. I said, no problem, I’ll be here until 5:30. Got the car at 5:30 and hit the highway and the car starts shimmying right away. I was not happy. Called the next day. Made a priority appointment. When I showed up for the spot, I was polite but firm. I told one of the guys that I had sat patiently for 3.5 hours waiting for my tires the first time in. No problem. I had the time. Today, I don’t have the time and did not want to wait. I have never left Direct Tire with out-of-balance tires. So, Fabio, a mechanic that I met looked at the tires and rims. He brought me out to show me the problem. The right side tires were wobbly as he turned them. Huh. I had not seen that before. So we made a plan. I asked that he rebalance the tires to the best of his ability and put the two best balanced tires up front. He agreed that was the best plan of action. I was not there long, and when I left, I hopped on the highway, and it was 100% better. Not perfect, but so much better. I know that it will never be perfect. I guess this is what had been done in the past without me knowing. Once again, great service, people who care, and a super staff keep me coming back. It may be a little more expensive, but it’s always worth it. Every single time. I appreciate your attention to customer service. It makes all the difference in the world. Thank you guys (and gals). I have been using Direct Tire for brake and tire services since 1999. I recently checked a competitor who is closer to me, but ultimately selected Direct Tire for my new tires since they are just a nice group of people and they can be trusted to do what is right for your car. I again had an excellent experience with them for my new tires.

This past week, I came in for a 3:00 p.m. appointment to have my snow tires put on. When I booked the appointment over the phone, and again when I checked in, I was told the service would take a couple of hours. I made it clear to both people that I would be waiting for the car. A little after 5:00 p.m., I was finally told, “Your car is going in next.” At no point between 3:00 and 5:00 did anyone inform me that my 3:00 appointment had effectively become a 5:00 appointment. I reasonably expected my car to be ready around 5:00, but I didn’t leave until 6:30. I understand that delays happen and that staffing shortages can cause backups. However, not communicating with customers and allowing them to sit for hours without any update is simply not acceptable. If a customer has an appointment, Direct Tire should honor that time, or at the very least, proactively communicate delays. That’s basic courtesy and good business practice. I’ve been a customer at Direct Tire Watertown for over 20 years, and unfortunately, the experience no longer reflects the level of service I once expected. I left very disappointed.

I have been a long time customer of Direct Tire and have always had a great experience. I also like that they provide loaner cars. I haven't run into many auto repair places that do that for their customers.

While on the pike, we had an emergency with the underbody panel coming unscrewed and pulled off the highway. We came across Direct Tire and Auto Service by chance. Michael and the team were able to get us in right away and fixed it for us within 10 mins, helping us get back on the road within record time. Great service and very friendly!!

Came in for my free tire rotation, was told I was also overdue for an alignment ($150). When I hesitated at the expense, I was told they would run an alignment diagnostic, and call me to see if I wanted to pay for it. I never received a call. When I came to pick up my car, the person started reviewing the results of my alignment. When I reminded him I was supposed to be called first, he looked genuinely caught off guard (my thought was he was not told by his staff), he apologized and immediately took off $50. I still spent $100 when I expected a no cost visit. The car needed the alignment, but better internal communication is needed, not the best of looks.

I've had good experience with Direct Tire over many years. Two issues with my last visit: (1) when I picked up the car after an oil change and tire rotation, all four tires were at least five pounds below the recommended inflation. Not good for a tire specialist! (2) at checkout I requested an email receipt, but it never arrived. Had to call back the next day. These are not major issues, but you build service quality on attention to details.

Thank you so much to Rick at Direct Tires! I went to another local shop first who said that my tires were "worn", listing a tread of <3/32 on all four tires. That didn't sit right because my tires passed even the more conservative quarter test. I brought the car over to Direct Tires, and Rick confirmed that my tread was actually closer to 6/32 and I only needed to replace two of them, not four. He also explained my damage to one of my tires much more clearly and was knowledgeable about the line of tires my car came in with.

Direct Tire was responsive on the phone to getting a replacement tire which was damaged. I was able to come in the next day and they took me right away and replaced, balanced and aligned the wheels quickly. Seamless service.

I recently on Sept 16 had an alignment performed at Direct tire in Watertown, when i arrived my Vehicle was pulling to the right, after the alignment the vehicles was pulling left, i made the team their aware and they took the vehicle back and re-done the alignment, when I picked up the vehicle is was pulling more to the right than it was when i brought it in that morning, a tech drove the vehicle and told me it was fine just following road Crown, I brought the car to the dealer who performed the alignment and was able to show that the vehicle was more dis-aligned after the direct tire alignment than it was before, i Have all the documentation and the numbers and videos to back up what i am putting in the review, I brought the documentation to direct tire who issued the refund but with no apology or and thing to say that they were sorry for wasting my time for most of the day before, I live in Newton corner and was hoping they would be good for tires etc etc but now i see that at least for me is not the case

Managed to get a flat tire right before leaving on a trip to Maine. Called them in the morning to see when I could get an anppointment and they saw me right away. They fit me in and I was able to still go on my trip without a day’s delay. They had ordered the replacement tire and had it on hand when I arrived! So no wasted time waiting for it. They couldn’t have been nicer and they explained everything. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants efficient , professional and friendly service.

There are many "decent" tire shops in Watertown, but for changing the rims & tires on my brand new car, I wanted the very best. I found what I was looking for at Direct Tire. Their expertise was clear from the first phone conversation, and I was very happy with the quality of the work. Not to mention: they got me an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, my car was up on a lift within 10 minutes of my arrival, and I was out the door driving the new wheels in less than an hour.

I had the privilege of working with Doug. After buying a used car I needed to get new tires and wheels. Doug helped me with the various options and prices. He made ordering easy and within a week I was rolling on the new tires.
