Great place to get used tools at a good discount. Sometimes older tools are better than the stuff made nowadays. If you look around, you will usually find a good deal on something made in the US of better quality.
This place is awesome! I love stopping in at similar places. This is one of those rare places that has good selection of nice tools and good prices. That is a difficult combination to find.

I was looking for a specific laser tripod that had been discontinued. Couldn’t find it anywhere (new or used). Came across The Tool Consignment Store and to my surprise they had it. I was searching the web for some repair parts for some tools. This is when I came across the tool consignment store. The parts for the tools I were looking for far outweighed the cost of the tool consignment store had. While I understand there is risk with buying used tools it just was a risk I was willing to take. The tool was being sold for local pickup only, but after receiving confirmation of my purchase, I noticed it was for local pickup. I emailed the owner, and requested him to ship it to me, and I would be happy to pay the shipping fees. To my suprise, the next morning, I received an email stating that they will ship it to me at no cost. This place is great. Reasonable prices on hard to find tools. I've been coming here for years. Brian doesn't sell junk. Everything is neatly arranged and organized. Stock changes regularly and new things are added frequently. Definitely worth it for the pro, diyer, or a tool fan.
I'm out of state and was looking for a hard to find tool for window glazing, that is essential to my work on restoration job I'm on. I've literally looked everywhere local and online, with no luck.
Then I found the Tool Consignment website, they have it in stock and at a great price.
I contacted Brian via email, on a weekend to see if they would ship it to me. He responded promptly Sunday morning, processed the order remotely, and is sending it asap.

I've never been to this store. I've never even been to Massachusetts. I mail ordered a hard-to-find tool from their online inventory. The staff made my purchase super easy. The item was well packaged and promptly shipped. They may even earn a tab on my web browser. To all you folks in Maine, you need to rethink the mean things you say about your Southern neighbor.
I cannot say enough about Brian and his magical tool store. I wandered in one day looking for two extremely specialized tools for mosaic: a hammer and a hardie. Brian, the owner was awesome. He showed me other tools which are great for my project. As I was checking out he took my number and said he would text if the tools came in. He asked me if I used stained glass and I told him I was just starting with glass.
He brought me the most gorgeous box of glass for free, and he carried it to my car. I cannot say enough about Brian. He is so helpful and he takes pride in helping his customers.
The second time I went in, months later, I got a few things and he had something that might work as a hardie. It was perfect! If you need tools or advice about tools -- Brian is the guy to see! He has a great selection, and you never know what you might find at his amazing store!
I contacted Brian at Tool Consignment Store because they had a special John Deere Service tool test kit that I wanted to purchase. Brian responded quickly and was excellent to deal with. Being from Canada, shopping online for unique items from the US can be difficult. And sometimes the cost to ship is more than the item being purchased. I was pleasantly surprised when Brian said he would cover the almost $50 shipping cost. I received the tool and it was exactly as depicted on the Tool Consignment Web Store. I would definitely recommend Tool Consignment Store and Brian. I hope to have an opportunity to purchase other items from the shop.
This is the best place to go on the south coast for good deals on good tools. I have bought and sold tools through the consignment store for several years, great to do business with, easy to find a second home for your unneeded tools too! Whether you're a multi family homeowner like me, or a contractor that takes on all kinds of jobs they have the best deals on good tools, especially those tools that have limited uses, better to buy, use and resell with them than to go out and rent!

Great place especially to find the hard to find tools! Customer service is great there, if they don't have what your looking for just ask. Also great place to sell your tools for good money and get them out of the garage! No dealing with Craigslist or the like they do all the work for you.
Brian is one of the nicest store owners I have ever dealt with on a regular basis. Great place to buy or sell. The prices are extremely fair. You never know what you're going to find here. Great shop with lot's of variety. I've been able to save $$ on anything from just needing 1 socket to buying a power tool that I need but will use infrequently. Also, they stand by their products even though they're used. I had a hedge trimmer die on me soon after purchase and they provided a new one with now hassle. Nice people too.
The owners seem honest and very polite. I brought tools to sell. They sell them easy enough but I think the prices might be too low. That's why all the reviews say "great deals". Yeh our good tools sold cheap to get them out the door fast. My opinion. I did get a 3 payment checks on time. Nice guys. Nice to work with. Very helpful.
