Doug is scam artist. He sells cars that are not safe and doesn’t stand behind anything he sells . He sold a car to 19 year old girl with rot he painted over with under coat . She filled the gas tank the following day after purchase and noticed gas just pouring out due to the tank being completely rotted. He will not answer calls or show his face to resolve the matter . To take advantage of a young girl that worked hard to save for her first car is so wrong . Do Not Waste Your Money With These Crooks .

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Buying a car from Doug at this so-called “dealership” has been nothing short of a nightmare straight out of hell. From day one, he fed me lie after lie, promising the airbag light would be fixed. Nine days later? Nothing but excuses, ghosting, and pathetic games. Doug ignored my calls and texts on BOTH his personal and business phones like a coward, and the ONLY time he even pretended to respond was after I called the police and started filing a civil suit. When I demanded my money back, he literally admitted he had already “spent it all” and had nothing in his bank account. That’s not just shady—it’s flat-out theft. Then he had the audacity to try and push me into picking up the title so I could register and drive this junk heap home—even though the dashboard is ripped apart and the airbag light is still flashing. When I told him there was no way I was putting my 10-month-old baby in an unsafe car, he shrugged it off and said, “The kid sits in the back. It won’t affect him.” Imagine how disgusting and reckless you have to be to say something like that about a baby’s safety. The whole operation stinks of fraud, lies, and scam artist tactics. Most recently, Doug promised to call me with an update, then vanished like the spineless scammer he is. When I finally chased him down, he claimed he was “checking into the ER” (a new excuse every time) but still fed me another worthless lie instead of the truth. This is the lowest level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty I have ever experienced. These people are the definition of sleazy, slimy crooks—preying on families, selling salvage yard garbage, and stringing people along with scam after scam. I 100% believe every single positive review here is fake or paid for by these losers. Do yourself a favor: stay far away from this dump. Don’t buy so much as a lug nut from these liars, thieves, and bottom-feeders. They are nothing more than con artists pushing lemons

Beware still with 175 miles left on warranty and 12 days you will never get through to Matt the owner and sales person . The car has rusted and holes in rocker panels both sides. This Dealer you may call it that should be shut down No Conscious

only cares about the money. i went 5 times to that place for my car to get fixed and each time i was ghosted. they’re irresponsible, immature, and severely lack communication. you can call and call and call and they’ll sit back and watch the phone ring. i will be making them fix my car with a different mechanic, as it was under warranty and they gave me the run around to make sure it wasn’t. don’t buy a car here, don’t trust them. they will talk shit about other dealerships on route 6 but are exactly like them lol

I purchased a 2015 Toyota Sienna on May 28, 2025 from here. Matthew and Paul at Best Choice Auto Market were very nice, respectful, honest, and helpful throughout the process. The van was in good condition like advertised. I was able to take my time to take a look at the vehicle inside out before test-driving. They went above and beyond to make the transaction smooth. Overall, it was a great and pleasant experience to me. I would recommend this dealership to anybody who is looking for good deals with wonderful customer service.

This was my first time buying a car from a dealership and Matt was great. He was super helpful throughout the whole process and always responsive. I purchased a 2018 Honda HR V on Feb 19, and a month later the car has given me not one issue. Matt provided me with the title to the vehicle as soon as it arrived at his office and I was able to register and inspect the vehicle in RI along with a VIN check and obtain an RI title with no issue. Do your due diligence before purchasing a car, but don’t always listen to the reviews! Best choice was great to me and I would definitely go back.

Matt and his team of Lemon enthusiasts are always willing to hand you over more and more lemons, as many lemons as nessecary! I was delighted by the sheer amount of Lemons I seen on the property! 100% GREAT EXPERIENCE. Everyone has their own opinion therefore you’re going to see negative comments on every car dealership. I’m always hesitant when reading them but I went through with best choice and it was quick, easy & professional! I had a bad experience right before going to them so I was already nervous but no matter how many times I texted or called my salesman Fenway he always got back to me. When I had questions the owner Matt had no issues calling & explaining things to me. Super nice people I definitely recommend buying from them.

Bought a 16' Subaru WRX from them, good service and after I brought it to subaru Matt had everything repaired for me before finalizing the sale. -Reasonable pricing (accommodating) -Knowledgeable -Works with you on the car and what you need done Only thing I could say was the car had 2 cigarette holes in the seat, didn't bother me whatsoever. Offered to have it detailed again but since everything was minor (just a tiny bird poop thing from sitting outside) I did not mind. Recommend!

We had a great experience. purchased an 04 Lexus Rx330 for a good price & very low miles. We dealt with Matthew who returned calls promptly & took the car back in for some minor repairs with no issues at all. We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing experience all around!!! Our salesman Matt went above and beyond for us. We bought a 2010 Lexus RX350 and were so thrilled to see it needed nothing mechanically. Well be in the market soon for another vehicle and the first place we will be going is here.

Doug and Roy helped me and they were super respectful and nice they already had all the paperwork set up and everything. after reading the reviews i was super hesitant to buy from here but i’m glad i did. id recommend buying from here despite the other reviews.

Bought myself a car from them with problems they said they would resolve before I bought the car, omw home the car shut down outta nowhere had to have them come to take the car back. It left me stranded twice and they had to come back both times to get it. Couldn’t fix a car to save their lives. I wanted to test drive the car at first but the salesman Scott said “well your gonna buy the car anyways right” so I had to go pay for the gas to test drive it. He kept answering calls on his Bluetooth headset. Terrible customer service. Kept telling me to go eat at FIVE GUYS while I wait for them to organize themselves.

Do not trust these people !! I bought a car here October 4th it is now December 1st. I bought a 2013 Mazda 3 for $7,300. Not even a week after I bought it check engine light went on I brought it back to Doug and supposedly he fixed it.A lweek ater check engine lights back on for the same codes. I take it back to Doug he has it for 2 weeks and after a week the check engine light goes back on. After having to pay Mazda $150 to diagnose the car turns out that it needs an exhaust manifold a $2,000 job. And Doug never returns the call or addresses any of it I have to call him over and over and over and over and he never returns a call. Now they had replaced the O2 sensor one of the times iand the O2 sensor is exactly right next to the exhaust manifold leak but Doug's trying to say he didn't know that it needed an exhaust manifold. That's just a lie! They sold me a lemon and don't want to address it. I say if you looking to find a car this is not your best choice this is the worst choice you could make is to buy a car from this place!

Bought a car from here not reading any reviews until after. Doug was cool at first but it took forever to get the car. I bought it on 2/23/2022 and didn’t receive the car until 3/16/2022. Here it is about a month later and the car broke down on the highway two nights ago. Definitely would NOT recommend buying a car here!!!

Called AAA 3 times the same week after buying the car My key FOB worked for the door but Matt neglected to tell me my keys would not actually work in the door. They don’t even wash or clean cars before sales. They fix absolutely nothing before selling their cars If you have better alternatives than buy your car from somewhere else especially if you’re going to a lot of piece of mind. Worst experience ever. He will try and spin your around for the 30 day warranty. Don’t fall for it; make sure everything is WRITTEN ON PAPER BEFORE YOU TRY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT DEALING W THIS GUY IF YOU DO

This was probably the worst experience I have ever had in terms of customer service and integrity, not just in the auto industry but in any business. If you are considering buying a car I would strongly encourage you to read this entire review as it provides some clear insight into the type of business this is. I was in a serious accident in December, so I was in the market for a new car. After driving a Honda CRV that they had I knew I would need to take it to a shop and have it checked out as there was a few red flags. Doug (one of the owners) promised he would have all of the issues that I found fixed for me before I bought the car. Fast forward 5 weeks later, considering he rarely answers phone calls, I was able to FINALLY purchase the car with the necessary work done. I could not pick it up for 2 weeks after that since it had to be registered. 2 WEEKS after I purchased and picked up the car it started to make a really concerning sound. Turns out, the car should never have passed inspection. It had a bad strut in the front tire, and one of the calipers in the breaks was bad. To fix the strut and the caliper, along with a couple of extra things, it cost around $1800. I had a warranty with Doug, so he could have fixed these things, but that would have required me to have my car towed from Dartmouth to Swansea since it wasn’t drivable and it was too late in the day to do that so I went ahead and got it fixed. Not to mention, if I had done that, I would have had to get another rental car which I could not afford at the time after paying for the car and the extra work. When I went to Doug with the bill to fix the things that were covered under our warranty, he refused to reimburse me because I didn’t call him first. He said I should have called him with the problem, so he stopped answering/returning my phone calls when I called to have a discussion with him about the matter. This business will do anything they have to, including lying and avoiding confrontation, to make sure they get your money, it literally makes me sick to think about. DON’T shop here.

Best place to buy a car. We test drove a car we liked we told Matt we think it needs rotors. He said no problem. We went in the office he wrote down a few things he was going to do to the car we signed left a $500 deposit. And in a day we had our car. Matt didn't stop at the rotors he put brand new brake pads and rotors on all four tires and he also fixed the AC for us. We will only buy our vehicles from Matt. usually when you buy a car from whether it be a big deal or a small dealer once you leave with that car you never see them again Matt is so nice he becomes like a friend he's not a pushy salesman he's very considerate I felt so comfortable and I didn't feel pressure to buy anything he answered all of our questions and most importantly he was genuine I highly recommend this place I'm very happy we found this place

If you are looking for a great value from a family owned business, this is the place for you. Don’t expect fancy showrooms or free gourmet coffee, since that money gets added to the price of your car. The selection runs from budget to nicely loaded, so there are more than one model to choose from.There is a mechanic onsite so they are able to inspect and fix the car before they sell it to you. They even fixed a broken tail light without us even asking.

This is the worst experience ever Scott told me over the phone as well as my wife the SUV would be $7,000 total expense I said: " is that bottom line no other charges ?" Nope, $7,000 bottom line is total you pay "Not including registration fees of course" Well, turn out that once she was dropped off with no ride home, the price went up to $7300 "I believe they are predators on women they think don't know any better" my wife reluctantly paid $7,300 in cash Thinking she could take it back if something went wrong " little did she know what was about to happen" "I had knee surgery so I couldn't go with her on the long drive as getting in and out of our smaller car is next to impossible .hence us buying an SUV " Everything they told us over the phone & ion person turned out to be a lie I seriously envy everyone who has never met these two con artists" the price increased $300 bucks as the first lie they told me car has no curb rash " See Photos" that's lie #2 They told me over phone they went through the car from top to bottom "Lie #3 Car was filthy outside. Inside was decent . The oil was black, I was told they changed it Lie # 4 Got car home when she went to put the plates on she noticed there was a huge oil spot in our driveway. I had my buddy look at it last night Friday evening. He thinks the oil pan is rotted out and oil is weeping through the paint So apparently once the oil lever reaches below this rot spot it stops when the engine is off Yet supposedly they "went through it from top to bottom" . He then he tells me his mechanic told him after we bought it that it's leaking because of the rubber gasket on the oil drain plug, turns out there is no such thing as "rubber gasket seal" on this year make and model's oil pan drain plug. There is only a washer and bolt Lie #5 Now that he just accidentally admitted no one actually changed the oil he tells me that his mechanic never changed the oil that's why it is black & RED color but he went through it "top to bottom "STEER CLEAR!!! They told my wife "Who is the most honest hard working woman I have ever met in my life "If she doesn't like the SUV for any reason what so ever she can return it anytime for a full refund within 7 days" This was on Wednesday, November 16th, 2016 today is Saturday, November 19th, 2016 and they are refusing to refund her money, They stopped answering the phone when we call when we call from another line they say. "Oh, we are at an auction it's too loud here can't hear you .. , will have to call you back" & surprise surprise "they haven't yet..." They haven't done anything they said they would Seeing my wife in tears over this ordeal is all I can bare , so thankfully, she just happens to have a family member who works for the Ma. Attorney General A move she doesn't want to have to do "she hates asking for favors" but feels there is no another alternative my wife and I work too darn hard for our money to have someone do this to us My wife may not be the savviest person when it comes to buying an automobile. & I regret not being there with her through this ordeal but to her credit, she is very technologically smart . :"For the Record" I did not want to write this review & It seems we got duped by this company However I hope i can save someone else from dealing with this nightmare ! I can not believe any of these positive reviews I bet they are from the employees themselves . then again even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in a while . when I just confronted him with his lies he hangs up the phone on me if anyone. My wife is afraid to drive this vehicle so now I have to buy her another one...This really stinks too because I hate dealing with attorneys but i have no other options here OH and that "7 day unconditional warranty" expires when you register the car on the second day .. I mean who holds a car for 7 days without putting it on the road ? I was wondering why he was so eager to go to the registry for us ! For the record he never said anything about the battery I just wanted people to see what you get for 7 grand !

Wish I could leave 0 stars. This place sold me a 2010 Lexus HS250h with 109,000 miles on it. The car looked great except the drivers side mirror was busted and the bumper was obviously newly replaced. I fell in love with the car and applied to finance. I was told it wouldn’t affect my credit too much because they only run it once. Come to find out they ran my credit through multiple places and severely affected my score. Then when I just decided to pay outright for it using half credit card half cash, the salesman neglected to tell me that there’s a fee. (Luckily he waived the fee because I complained that he should have told me). Then after signing all paperwork and having an agreement he was ordering me a new mirror he told me I’d have the title the next day. After many calls and no answers I drove over there to see for myself. Come to find out the salesman who sold me the car left on vacation... and the other man refused to look into it because “he didn’t sell me the car”. They then told me to take the car anyway and that I’d be fine driving it around for a few days. Well almost two weeks went by Along with multiple calls and drives over there before I got the title. (Not even from the salesman who I bought the car from) it’s been almost a month and I have still not heard back about fixing my mirror. Come to find out the exhaust pipe had rotted away and they sold me the car without warning me. Just this week the pipe has blown into two pieces leaving me stranded while on vacation. !!!!!DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!!!! Serious.serious. disappointment.

Stay away from this place unless you want to be lied to!! I recently purchased a car from this dealership and I have more confidence in the car than I do in the salesman or owner. I purchased a Toyota corolla. It was mechanically sound but the paint was all scratched, bumper needed fixing, needed new brake pads, and an easy headlight bulb replaced. My wife and I paid for the car on a Saturday and were told everything would be ready by next Friday to pick up the car. They didn't have the title ready until Friday. The car sat on the lot all week without being touched. Every time I spoke to the salesman, Scott, he lied and said they were working on it and it looked great. (I believe he has no idea who he's speaking with until you remind him you bought a car there) and still lies to you. I picked up the title on Friday, the car was still in the same spot untouched. He said it would be ready by Friday afternoon. Didn't happen, picked it up Saturday, it was on the lift when we got there. They waited until Saturday to begin work on the car and only fixed the bumper and brake pads. The mechanic, who is the owner, Douglas, didn't even turn or replace the rotors. They didn't wash or buff the paint as i had requested. They didn't even replace the headlight bulb, which took me only 30 seconds to do. The car was never cleaned inside either. It appears sold cars are not a priority to them. I would think they would want positive customer reviews and repeat business, but I guess this place is different. They have some good cars there but you really need to know about cars to look over the imperfections. As far as customer service is concerned, I give them a big fat F. By the way, I'm happy with the car I bought, that's the only good thing about my experience with Best Choice Auto Market in Swansea.

Just purchased my used vehicle from this dealership. They were very responsive and provided me with a great service. They prepare the paperwork that you need to register you car which is nice. All the repairs that the vehicle needed were taken care of and they made it clear to call them if anything was off with car so they could take care of it. I'll come back to give it the 5 stars if the car passes the inspection.

Prices advertised do not reflect $1000 cash/trade. Salesman was not knowledgeable, or even diligent about having the right information as it was directly in front of him when asked. The owner behaved very kindly, with humility and decency. If I had dealt directly with the owner, I would likely have been driving the car around for awhile now. I'd like to thank Doug for that. Even the Detailer was courteous, and stopped working to ask if I was being helped. I regret to give a 2/5 review. The owner would be much better off with an honest salesman. Some of their cars would sell themselves, if not for the sales tactics. My advice, if you chose to shop here, is to deal directly with Doug, and bring the vehicle for an inspection as with any car from any dealer.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The owner, Doug, is disrespectful, shady, and will never answer his phone or call you back when he says he will. I needed a new transmission in my car after a few days, and it took over a month to get them to do anything. I needed to contact my lawyer to talk about getting my money back because he was so incorporative. Even after having my mechanic look at it and telling me I needed a new transmission, Doug tried to tell me all I needed was transmission fluid. I recommend buying a car ANYWHERE but here. You will regret it. I would give zero stars if I could.

I bought a 2010 Scion TC a week ago. There were a couple things to fix before I take it to inspection and they said they'd take care of it with no problem. Scott gave me good deal and it only took 20 minutes for me to buy the car. This was the smoothest sale ever! I'm quite happy so far. I still have 2 months dealer warranty on the car and I believe I'm not going to have any issues with their service. People are more likely to review when they have a bad experience, I think that's why they have a 3.5 star rating and as a restaurant owner I know you can't always make everyone happy :) Anyways, as I said it's been only a week and everything including the service is so far so good. If you don't see any updates that means that I'm fully satisfied :) Note to dealer: Thanks for everything guys, especially you Scott!
