Just had a family member get a Honda Pilot serviced here. They replaced the alternator and battery. When she went to pick up the vehicle it was shaking. After consulting another mechanic, we discovered they left 3 connections to the fuel injector unplugged which didn’t even need to be done for the service they charged for. On top of it there was a car seat in the car so it was blatant there was at least 1 child young enough to need a car seat riding in the car. I can’t believe they would miss such an important step knowing a small child rides in the car. They should be ashamed of themselves for this careless mistake.

Just had a Honda pilot serviced here. Got the alternator and battery replaced. When somebody went to pick it up they said oh we “forgot” to tell you that you needed new spark plugs and coils. They gave us a ridiculous price so we went a different direction. We called a small business and when he came to check it out there was 3 connections not attached for the fuel Injector. After what he said plus my own research they didn’t even have to unplug that to do what I had done so they did it on purpose to get more money out of us. What a scam. Do not go here if you want an honest mechanic. And even worse on top of all that I had a car seat in the back while it was getting serviced so they knew I had at least 1 car seat aged kid that rode in the car. What kind of a sick business would feel good about sending off a car they know a small child is in isn’t safe to drive. That’s diabolical and downright evil.

I just had my battery and alternator changed here. During the duration of my car being in the shop it was a struggle to get any type of communication. When I was finally able to pick up my car, I paid for my service and was told it was ready to go. Once I get in the car I notice my car is shaking pretty violently. When we went back inside they informed us they “forgot” to tell us we needed to replace spark plugs and coils. So we asked how much that would cost which they quoted me close to $1800. So we asked for an itemized list and we cross referenced the prices. We were told he “wasn’t charging a lot for labor” but after seeing how much the parts really cost it’s blatant to see they were hiding the labor cost in the cost of materials. When we brought up that it’s obviously marked up the man working was visibly annoyed. It’s really disappointing since I used to go to the Monroe in Fall River before it closed and never had an issue. I do not recommend this place especially if you don’t know much about cars. I feel taken advantage of and I’m deeply disappointed they felt okay sending me off in a car that was very obviously unsafe to be on the road. They were able to get me in right away to mount a couple of tires for me that I already had. I’ve used Monro in the past and have been happy with the service I receive. I’ll be back again for other services as needed.

HIGHLY do not recommend. ordered tires from goodyear at the beginning of the week and set up an appointment for today at 10am, everything was paid for and i called last night to confirm they said yup see you at 10! showed up this morning and the 2 guys there had no idea what i was talking about and went to look 4 times in the back and said they have no appointment or my tires and they must’ve been delivered somewhere else but if i wanted tires today i would have to pay AGAIN even though i showed them the email with my order and appointment. after being on the phone w corporate and goodyear all morning i find out that my tires were delivered 11/2 and signed off on, and the kid named josh that was there this morning confirmed to signing off on them but didn’t know where they are. don’t know what shady stuff is going on there but they had my tires the whole time and lied to me trying to get me to pay another $700. wasted my time and i still have no new tires!

Do Not Go Here. I ordered 1,100 dollar tires from tire rack to be installed on my only day off of the week. Appointment at 9am. The store looks abandoned, I thought it was the wrong address but went inside. The only employee comes over and says yes we have your tires but I cannot install them you can come back next week. In the rain I take my tires put them in my honda and leave. Luckily the Firestone down the street was able to fit me in. Don't waste your time dealing with Monroe they are a thumbs down for me

Beware!!! First of all I went in to get an oil change and tire rotation. Manager told me no free tire rotation with a standard oil change. I said I'd been coming for year's when did it change? We went back and forth then he told me he would do me a favor and do it. When I got home I noticed I was charged 3.99 for fluids! Since when? Went out to my vehicle and put a half bottle of windshield wash in! So not only did they not fill my fluids they illegally charged me for something that they advertised as free. Buyer beware and this Manager should be fired!

First off I’d like to start with they are extremely welcoming, polite and kind people. Excellent pricing in a timely fashion. Love these guys and will forever be a loyal customer.

Came in for a flat repair. Other than taking an extremely long time, the repair was fine. When I got home, I noticed a large dent and multiple scratches in the rim of the tire this shop had just worked on. Took it back the next day and of course, no one had any idea what happened. Tried to speak with the manager, who said almost the same thing word for word. Almost like they have a script for this sort of thing.. Tried to call the regional manager multiple times, of course no call back. Don't waste your time coming here. There are plenty of other shops in the area that do tire and brake work without damaging your vehicle and blaming you for it.

When I first saw all the reviews some were even unbelievable. I bought a set of four tires through tire mart and had them delivered to this facility. Once they were there I made appointments for them to be installed and every time I went to it they needed for me to leave the car so I rescheduled to their earliest apt on Monday when I showed up there were no cars in the bays but still there was an excuse of either leaving the vehicle or rescheduling again. This time the excuse was that they could not “pair the tpms sensors” because someone took a machine. It’s funny though the tpms sensors are pre programmed for my vehicle it says so in a letter inside the package where the sensors came. Long story short I took the tires and sensors and I’m paying town fair tires to install them instead. Trying to get them installed with this people was nothing but a waste of gas time and putting miles on my vehicle for no reason. On top of it all I had to figure out how to pick up the tires from them and bring them to the other shop so it could get done asap

Zero stars. Don’t waste your time; unless you want to stay 2.5 hours watching one person to switch BOTH rear tires. All I gotta say. The person working on the car was just distracted the entire time and put no care into the work. No work ethic. Disgusting.

They just tried to sell my elderly mother a brake set replacement for $1700. After getting a second and third opinion, it was found that the work can be done for $1000 less at a local shop. Don't trust this establishment.

Great experience here. Dave went above and beyond to make things work for me. I purchased a Groupon for oil change for my Alfa Romeo. When I came in for my appointment Dave said that they don't stock the materials for my car. He could have left it at that and let me leave with a Groupon I couldn't use. Instead he went to work at his computer and made a few phone calls to source the materials to complete the job and provided me a quote for the difference. Still cheaper than the dealer so I went ahead with the job.

Worst experience of my life. Zero stars. Took 6 trip to 3 different monroes to get one job done. First trip they got two tires on and their machine broke. Not their fault but then 2nd trip got sent to another monroe and all the employees had called out 3rd trip got sent to another monroe and their machine couldn't do my tires. 4th trip finally got other 2 tires on. Then 5th trip to get an alinement and they had a broken down car on the machine came back 6th trip and had to wait for 2 hours to even be seen. So done with this business. Should be closed down. Zero star rating. Very disappointed

Went to just get a new set of tires mounted and balanced, but saw them working under the hood. Car was driving weird and not accelerating right after I left, so I checked at home to see if something was up under the hood. Sure enough, the Mass Airflow Sensor was completely unplugged- like not just loose but unplugged, which wouldn't have just happened on it's own... I'm very lucky I'm not an idiot and didn't go right back when I noticed a problem but looked for myself. Unfortunately this place just wants to take advantage of women by messing with their cars, just like all other mechanics.

I had a full brake job done. The service techs were very professional. Dave was a knowledgeable person and explained everything. Although, I do agree the service was great the price ($1672) was a little to be desired but needed to be done. Car stops great now though.. I will say this Monroe was better than Woonsocket location. Woonsocket ruined my front end and never got it right. I just stopped going to them because they were not figuring the issue out at all. Fixed front end and tire fell off while driving and didn't get it right after either and still not right...

Very polite and professional service, always going above a beyond to try to accommodate the costumer’s needs and priorities! …The manager, (Mr Dave/David) always explains everything in details, giving always the his best professional advice! It’s always a please doing business with Mr. Dave and his team! I would highly recommend Monro Auto Service and tire centers, to all my family and friends!

I bought my tires from tirerack and had them delivered and mounted here. Great experience overall their pricing was right inline with what was quoted. Staff was friendly and professional. I can't seem to enter multiple reviews with Google so here is an update. I have been back here for tires ( I did 2 front then 2 rear ) and to have a rim replaced. They have been great to work with. I would feel comfortable sending my daughter here ( once she is old enough to drive)

Dave, the manager was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! He took my car in right away when I arrived for my appointment. I had 4 tires installed and everything went smoothly and quickly. Will definitely return for future service!

I had an outstanding experience with the manager, David during my recent visit! He was knowledgeable, efficient, and went above and beyond to make sure I got the right tire repair for my vehicle. I had a great experience! The representatives were professional thorough and truthful. I thought I may have needed breaks. Turned out I didn’t and they didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. I am very pleased with the price and the exceptional service I received from Monro in Swansea Mass. I will most definitely be having my car serviced here in the future.

Only place open on Sunday afternoon to fix my flat tire. Got it repaired and my spare tire was put back where it belongs. As a woman over 60, this was greatly appreciated. Marvin was polite and professional, a great employee. Definitely will go back.

So I'm giving this five star review, for one reason alone. The manager. He's been met with a lot of woes being put in his position and role there. His job is at the front desk, and due to a shortage of staff and employees, He's had to insert himself into the role of service technician, mechanic, and numerous other facets of the industry that would normally be somebody else's job. He was up front and honest with me about the situation and his staff shortage but told me he would take care of everything that I needed. Not only did he himself go above and beyond the scope of work that needed to take place on my vehicle, But he did it all himself personally. This is the type of customer service this company should be glad to have representing them. A true company leader and team player, And I just want to say thank you Dave! I will definitely be back as long as you're with the company. Thanks again!

I went in for an alignment on my 98 Jeep Wrangler. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM, I was the only vehicle present. The appointment took over three hours for the alignment, with brand new front end parts that were previously installed. While I was with my three year old son. After waiting over an hour for the alignment, I went back there and saw the mechanic using vice grips to preform the alignment. He then informed me he did not have the proper tools for the alignment, and continued to work on my vehicle for another two hours. The mechanic had a lock on my steering wheel, and I tried to tell him you had to align the tires first then adjust the steering wheel. I then noticed both mechanics watching a YouTube video on how to preform the alignment. I then told them to tighten everything up, and I’d bring my vehicle elsewhere. The mechanic stated he was almost done, then proceeded to take another 45 minutes. Additionally my steering wheel is still not straight. The experience was jarring.

UPDATE May 2024 What happened Monroe? I was there yesterday and was totally disappointed. 2.5 hours to mount and balance 4 tires? Not to mention I was the only car there! Then the service writer comes out and tells me my lug nuts were bad ? I watched the mechanic hammer on sockets on wheels I put on two weeks prior without any problem. All said and done. I drive away with a clicking noise coming from the left front tire. I get home to check and find 4 lugs not even finger tight and one missing. I had to remove the wheel to inspect and replaced lugs and torqued to the proper torque specifications. Retorqued the rest of the wheels to find none of them were torqued correctly. I went for a test drive and clicking was gone. Good thing I drove the car first not my daughter since it her car. She would not have known there was a problem until it was too late. Service went from bad to great back to bad again? Different service writer and mechanic from the last time I was there. Feb. 2024 I was there a couple months ago and felt the manager wasn’t really a people person. Kind of on the rude side. But ,this visit was great! I walked into a warm, friendly greeting. Manager was very helpful with my questions and got me in and out in a timely manner. This is definitely my new go to for all work I need done. In October, I had a problem with the brakes on my Prius and pulled off the highway to get them checked out. It turned out it was good I stopped; the car was probably unsafe to drive. This shop was wonderful with me. They got me right in to look at the car, and determined that it was too specialized for their shop and recommended I contact the Toyota dealer nearby. Their judgment and honesty in not taking on the job (it did turn out to be a very specific problem) helped reassure me, and my faith in the goodness of people! Both the manager and the mechanic were wonderful. Thank you!

I appreciate the honest feedback about the status of my brakes and rotors (different than the dealer recommendation - in a good way), I ended up not needing service on my brakes this visit, but they did replace several lights that were out at no additional cost. I appreciate not having service performed when it wasn’t necessary, and will definitely be back when it is time to replace my brake pads and rotors.
