An interesting and massively huge store, with several departments. Some of the departments appeared chaotic and disheveled, but overall, they have an abundance to choose from.
1987 was my first Marden's experience I found my 7th grade prom dress after some store had a big fire sale I still have that dress classic I've always been a fan you can get three times the items as you could elsewhere and still have money in your pocket they've never gouged their customers and always have crazy inventory that changes all the time so as they say you should have bought it when you saw it
Good prices when they have what you want and size. Got two coats, socks, and a dog toy. Visit my Alaskan lodge and rent a cabin at Gwin’s Lodge Cooper Landing Alaska. Pre-Statehood and restaurant and bar. Kenai Peninsula just south of Anchorage 2 hrs.
I am so glad I went. After I had checked out all the usual places in Auburn for autumn travel clothing, I left empty-handed and discouraged about their prices, Then I found everything I needed at Marden's, from J.J.Jill dresses, an Eddy Bauer jacket, a combo pocketbook/backpack, and more, all for a fraction of the prices the stores in Auburn ask for. If you have the time to rummage, you might find just what you are looking for without braking the bank.
I always go in there expecting to find what I'm looking for but I never do. I always end up walking out with other things I didn't have in mind until I saw them because they were such a good deal. My only complaint is that in their discount section it's a mess nothing is organized it's just all kinds of things put into piles that you have to take through which is very frustrating
I have had good service in the past but was shocked when I got the bill for installing my new flooring. The material cost $1,600. And the bill was $4,500.00
$3,000.00 for installing it. Very disappointed.???
A bit chaotic, deals in closeout goods. I bought fabric and a dress. they have odds and ends of canned, boxed foods, clothing, flooring carpeting household items. A lower level has building supplies. A lot of stuff is random, not really regularly restocked. " You should have bought it, when you saw it, at Marden's" is store jingle and is good advice.
The Lewiston store has a decent food section compared to the Waterville one BUT had a negative experience they had a Sale on soda but did not put a price on the display and to make matters worse they said after I cashed out I was only allowed 2/ 24 bottle cases I had 3 separate flavors . They let it slide but with no sign i couldn't know the limit
My family and I have always loved Mardens. But my fiancé had never been! I was like WHATTTT?! Mardens has everything from name brand clothing, flooring, small rugs/big rugs, furniture for every room in the house, and food. Except that's not it....I could go on and on about the things they have! My fiance and I spent almost 4 hours in here the other day, and i only had us leave because the kids were getting mad. They have the best things, the best prices, and helpful staff... Even though I do love this store, they should really try to organize better. Looking through the clothes was so hard. For example, all kids' sizes were all thrown together... and the same for adults, honestly... Nothing was where it was supposed to be, so I probably missed a lot of good clothes for my whole family and I.

I was cashing out and informed cashier I had brought my own bag. She rang my items through I paid and she then stood there. I asked if she was going to bag my items which she refused. I asked since when did that change. She replied that it was up to the cashier whether they want to bag or not. I'll take my business elsewhere
These stores are hit or miss. The store is very well organized. Only complaint is the smell of weed. My kids dont need to be smelling it. It's clear the workers are getting high out back.
Come here about evert 3 weeks or so and each time the selection changes. The prices are hard to beat for most of your normal day to day items. I normally come here looking for boots as i go through them fast with all thr walking and hiking I do.
My wife and I come to Mardens for cheaper flooring per square foot and their remnants section is usually full of great options and prices. They have a crazy amount of other discounted items that are worth checking out. Definitely a store we don't want to lose. It's 4 stars because sometimes the items are not comparably priced as well as below average speed of service. Having said that, the quality of service is fantastic.
This store was very huge. Loved all the options. Although I feel their prices are still high on a lot of their items, it was still a great experience. There was plenty of parking and was not very loud in the store in which I like.
Bought flooring and returned a box. These employees are so delightful and knowledgeable that I congratulated them on their terrific service and attitude. Honestly, every employee I met knew where everything was and were eager to help. Good training or indicative of the neighborhood? I say both. I'm now a lifetime fan!
Like they say you should have bought it at maidens. I always try to go there first before other stores. They have so much different items. I love to go there for my yarn. They have top of the line quality for less. And their material is great. They have so many options, different seasons material. It’s a quilter’s paradise. They have a huge parking lot. And they also have electric wheelchairs.
What's not to like? All kinds of stuff at bargain prices. Mardens is the place to go if you're looking for deals, or if you just can't afford to go to a retail store.
The only complaint I have is that it's so crowded! I'm going back. This quality non stick pan is a game changer for pancakes!- $9!!!! Just so much to choose from! From food to clothes to cool little gadgets and everything in between.
You never know what you'll find at Marden's and yes, if you find something you like, buy before it's gone. Inventory has a quick turnover.
I found the store very well organized with wide aisles. Shelves were neatly filled with kitchen items, home decor, linens, foods/candy, clothing, shoes, toys- and some pretty cool Halloween accessories and decorative items.
You can always find great deals in their furniture and flooring departments too!
Convenient location, plenty of parking, and friendly employees.
I love mardens.
I do lots of quilts & use tons of fabric panels.
They're like any other business short on help but they scrambled to find me someone that knew fabric.
I like to browse through Marden's ever once in a while just to see if I can find that one diamond in a rough.
Plus I can find my craft spray paints there sometimes and when I do I save big $$$
If your up for a treasure hunt amongst the good markdown prices, load of new arrivals of damaged returns from places like target, liquidation items from closing stores and truck loads of everything from fabrics to shoes try it. One visit to as for material what a great find! And another tine it was a quick out of the way must stop in.

Salvage of a variety of items. Departments: clothing, fabric, housewares, flooring, tools, furniture, etc. You can find some deals here for some good prices. Organization of items could be better.
