We had a car breakdown on the side of the highway. We contacted Peffley and Hinshaw. They were very nice and professional. They asked questions to locate the car and the tow truck driver called my cell to verify the location again. They were the best, most polite tow service we talked with that day. They came within a reasonable amount of time, took great care of car, sent picture of the delivery to service station and were so helpful. We recommend Peffley and Hinshaw.
The gentleman we spoke to were so kind, they made a miracle exception for us and were so understanding. They got our truck out so kindly and everything was just how we left it! Thank you both for your kindness! God bless you!!
Stuck in the middle of nowhere, after waiting 4 hours for my insurance company to find a tow, I reached out to Peffley and Hinshaw. Initially the response was "not out of town", but I explained I was about 10 minutes outside of the city limits. Cody was there in under 20 minutes, was a real good sport given the hour, and our vehicle was on the way to the shop in almost no time.
I appreciate how nice and friendly they are, price was great. Big shout out to Cody the driver. Funny dude who made the drive back alot of fun with alot of laughs.
This is the third time I had to use them and will continue calling them in the future.

Very unprofessional and instead of properly coming and knocking on my door, asking me to move my vehicle so they could properly show a car. They decided that they were gonna go next to my vehicle and almost hit it just to get you a car and then when I call to report it, I pretty much get laughed at so here’s my proof and the tow truck driver yelled at me for taking pictures of my proof.
Don't get ur car impounded here.. total joke im clung bbb on them have my car called it said 24hrs to access lies. He was rude I told him on phone how important it was he said we not releasing car and I said but I need it towed anyways so ur not going to bring my car. He said I'll have to wait till Monday. So I'll follow up another review I dont do reviews but this was the most upsetting thing for one I called attorney generals office and an attorney already they told me it was an illegally tressepassing tow cuz my car wasnt abandoned for 48hrs before it got towed from this place.
My car broke down as I got home yesterday. I made a future appointment with a dealership across town. Called AAA to get it towed, stating I was in no hurry. 3 minutes after hanging up with AAA the driver was out front in a snazzy new extended pickup with hidden tow arm. He had it hooked up and safely on the way in no more than 15 minutes.
Even if you don't have AAA you should use this company for your towing services. Local, professional, fast, and efficient. Highly recommend.
A driver from Peffley and Hinshaw stopped and assisted me shortly after having an accident (before my insurance even contacted him). He was very helpful and friendly. The next day, I went to collect my things from my totaled car, and they helped me take off my plates and were kind enough to let me stay there while I waited to be picked up.

My truck was impounded here, and I've came by this place like 6 or 7 times, every time the door was looked, and they are supposed to have someone in office from 9 to 4, nobody ever seems to be here, even with their bay door is wide open, and someone comes with proof of insurance and registration and plate and license, they are suddenly out on a job.... That's funny, is everyone out on a job? Because this is dumb, truck's parked everywhere business sitting locked in the front, but bay door open in the back, seems to me like they need more employees if they can't do the job they say, stupid inconvenience, get an office employee to fix your business, that way your office hours, are actually correct
If I could give zero stars I would. Unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. I've never encountered a buisness so awful in my life. Also FYI there is a $7card fee if paying with a card which they don't inform you of when you inquire about pricing. The guy had the nerve to say everyone charges a fee. No they dont.Hell the ATM fee isn't that high.
A Peffley tow truck driver, Cody Kneller, offered us great service late Saturday night. Our electric car was stranded around 9:30 p.m. at a malfunctioning EV charging station outside Wal-mart. We contacted AAA and Cody, who was on-call, showed up in about 20 minutes. He loaded our Leaf quickly but carefully and drove us five miles to another charger. As a side perk, Cody is a friendly man whose conversation put us at ease after we were frazzled by our car issues. We're from suburban Chicago and I can assure I did not have this kind of service when I last called for a tow five years ago.
This place is the most disrespectful and worst tow truck company in Terre Haute. The owner is rude and not helpful and looks for different ways to charge customers more money. Do not recommend this company for anything and will not and will refuse to use them again even if they are the only company available. Save yourself the headache.
All I wanted to do was pay a tow bill and they kept hanging up on me. Repeatedly. Finally they took my payment over the phone, but after the fact that they hung up on me 5x. Absolutely ridiculous.
they towed my car after me leaving it there PLENTY of times before without an issue. the guy handled my car like a piece of junk. he also told me there would be no available time to pick it up. i DO NOT recommend.
This place has an employee Cody kneller that divulges any information he gathers thru the tow yard which is very unprofessional. I called Mike and he said he didn't care. This is the worst towing company around. I'm calling the better business bureau until this fellas fired
One of their trucks passed me in a no passing zone. That's dangerous and unnecessary. They may be a great company but they need to educate their drivers how to drive safely.
I wish I could remember the guys name but I can’t. On Saturday 10/09/21 I was at Bush Family Restaurant and locked my keys in my car. The man was very prompt friendly and good he was in my car in about 15 seconds thank you
Easy to work with just gotta know how to talk to them with respect and not act like its there fault because we all know why our vehicle is in the impound lot so we are the only ones to take responsibility and do the right thing and jump through the hoops to get your vehicle back!!
Unfortunately a friend of mine loanded his truck to a "friend" who ended up getting arrested while driving his truck so the city impounded it to this place. We didnt know anything about how you get it out or what we needed to do so we called them and they were very polite and understanding. Explained what we needed to do. It was $48 per day storage fee. When he went to get the truck out their were no issues. Need proof of insurance, registration, and license there was no damage to the truck from being towed nothing missing from inside the truck. Bussness is clean and easy to find
Friday night before labor day.....my husbands car overheated and he had to leave it on I70 overnight! We called Saturday morning and Peffley Hinshaw promptly picked it up and towed it to the dealership in Terre Haute before noon. All the arrangements for this tow were completed over the phone....i now have their number in my phone if we ever need them again. Thanks guys!

Came out on 41 and towed my red blazer even though it had a sticker from the police saying it was ok to be there for 24 hours. Went to get it and found out it had been towed and the tag completely ignored,so,now I have to pay to get my vehicle out,even though it was illegally towed.
My in laws were traveling thru Terra Haute and were involved in a serious accident on Rt 70 that totaled their motorhome. Paul the owner and his dad Mike are serious towing professionals. They extracted my father in law from the cab after the fire department had worked at it for 45 minutes. 5 minutes after they winched the cab away he was removed with only a broken leg. They saved the day and were very helpful. I highly recommend this family owned company. Great job!!
