They had my part, and it fit, which was great. I had purchased the part at a couple different places and had to take them back because didn't actually fit. Took off stars because they charge 3% if using a credit card. I had to go get cash, and with so many of the roads South of them being closed, it was a real pain. But I was glad to get the part and go on my way.
I was looking for part for my G M C van. My search ended at Southwest Auto. they sent pic of part for me to id. I knew i had found what i was looking for.
I like the part of their COMPANY is that THEY will pull the part. Not the customer it's the junk yard staff will do the work. I don't mind getting dirty, somethings require a guy hand.
JR is always very helpful and this is honestly the only junk yard I will go to other than Paul's JR has always helped me on my parts for my 2007 Ford Edge 02 Ford Taurus and now my 04 Ford Taurus. Very knowledgeable young lady. Had seat I needed, just weren't able to test it as it's electrical, even sent all the switches. Hopefully it'll all works then problem solved. If not they have a 90 day guarantee.. Fast service too.
I was able to call ahead. Talked to a real person. They confirmed that they had my part. Very knowledgeable young lady. I drove 71 miles to get the part. I wish all salvage parts companies did business like this.
I called to verify they had an engine in stock two weeks ago. Monday of this week, I called again to verify the engine was there since I was planning on driving 225 miles to their location to pick it up & had the logistics covered. They told me they'd call me when it was ready! Wednesday came around, no call. I called and they gave me the same message.
Friday (The day before pickup) they call me and tell me that the engine is junk & that the other one they have that will fit is still in a truck and won't be able to be pulled by my pickup date....
Absolutely ridiculous! I called around to the other JYs in the area and they had the engine available but no way they could have it out by Saturday, which is not their fault at all...
So thanks Southwest for absolutely ruining my project, despite trying to plan it weeks in advance...
Great salvage yard - knowledge staff & good prices. I wound up with the wrong motor (my 81yo dad was helping me find & order) and Southwest swapped me the correct motor with absolutely no hassle.
Can't pull your own parts here, but they're pretty quick about it. Went for a trunk release lever, they gave me the entire cable assembly and the striker hinge along with it for a great price. Had it ready before closing time on the same day. Definitely coming back here in the future!
We will be back today to pick up a Whole wheel and tire for my GF's Kia Sedona Van..Called 4 other junk yard, nobody had one. GF's Happy now-She will have a Spare after driving for a year without one.
Kind of expensive too $100..
prices are insane. i needed a fan and they wouldnt sell me one unless i bought the shroud to go along with it. the shroud houses 2 fans and one was missing already. assuming someone had bought a single fan from this vehicle already but i guess i was not allowed to. in the end, they allowed me to just buy the fan alone since one fan was already missing
Finally found the part I needed. Alittle pricy but it gets me back on the road. On the phone not real personable but when I got there to pick up my part both gentlemen were friendly and helpful. This was also while the 4 phones rang off the hook...
Worst customer experience in my life! They were all complete a**holes! They told me they had the part and gave me a price I said ok I’ll call back and let you know. So I called back a couple hours later to order and got sent to like 3 or 4 different people and two different locations one location said the other had it the other location said they didn’t and then they just kept telling me they were transferring me and then they would just hang up! Don’t bother going there unless you like being treated like the dumbest worst person on earth!
I needed a tired and rim they had both for me even the plastic hub cap as well and all under 80$..The tires was brand new. They were friendly yet professional and the parts were extremely in excellent condition. Thank you guys for your service :)
