Treated like complete crap by an older man. I have a small car and I can’t fit all my garbage in at once. First I brought recycling then trash and the third time a tire a mirror frame. The guy comes up to me really rude and says “YOUR ONLY ALLOWED HERE ONE TIME THE RULES CHANGED IN JANUARY.” Super mad at me like there was a memo posted and I ignore it. Okay first off no need to yell and treat me like shit because you hate your job and there was no signs or rules posted to tell me this I live down the road and have been coming here for 3 years since I moved to the area. Doing the same thing and yes the men there are all mad and mean all the time but I didn’t deserve that today. I was just trying to clean up my yard and a few things. Now I’m scared to go back I was just trying to throw away my garbage. I’m always respectful and smile I always do what they say and ask questions. There was no need for the hostile attitude or environment.
Love having this place just a short distance from our house in Calesa ! When you don’t live full time in Ocala, it’s so convenient and easy to take your trash and cardboard boxes to when you’re not always able to put out for the normal trash collection. So many times we’ve taken trash there because we’re heading back north and we leave before the neighborhood trash day. The people are always super friendly and helpful. Thanks Marion County for this great resource !!!
Great place. You can dump anything there. Tires, tvs, microwaves, etc. The staff are very friendly, and I highly recommend it to anyone dumping household or any garbage.
I think it's funny that they don't want you to take even hey Cotter PIN but they take stuff all the time which is illegal and against their own policies state employee stole this little chest

One of the cleanest. The employees are always nice. For free you can get rid of furniture, metal, tires, trash, motor oil, light bulbs, paint, yard waste.
How can anyone rate thus place below 5 stars?? Super convenient for all our needs and the employees are nice too. Also a place to turn in your sharps container can't get better than that for a recycling place!
What a great things Marion County does for its residents to help keep our communities clean and the trash off our streets. They accept almost anything, but call if you need clarification as the staff are always very helpful.
This location is well maintained and monitored. The location is set up with a good traffic flow. They accept tires, furniture, electronics, yard waste as well as regular garbage. The specific drop off areas are well marked.
Best recycle center I have ever been to. My first time there, an older man helped us get unloaded, directed us to the bins we needed to use and showed us how to operate the crushers and he was cool about it, never been to county operated facility that was so customer friendly, whoever is in charge of the people there know how to keep customer service at its best.
I'm new in Ocala and made my first stop here and the staff are great, one young lady can't remember her name, but she was so kind and helpful. Next trip I will get her name and tell her boss how much I appreciated her being so kind to me.

The place is organized,& clean as a recycling drop offf could be. The help is friendly and willing to help to get ya in and out Quickly. Very pleased with the experience!!!!!
I wold have left 5 stars but today, Sunday, Dec. 22, 2019 they were supposed to open at 9 a.m., but I waited in line with everyone else until 9:15 a.m., then I had to leave.
