I received a message that my order was ready, but when I went to the store, they said the order was canceled, which is ridiculous. I don't want to come here again; the employees are not respectful.
I'd like to give a shout out to Chris that works at the Advance Auto Parts very knowledgeable helpful was able to get me the part I needed at a different store well help me order a part at a different store Advance store of course so thanks Chris

Asked to use Alan wrench to remove mirror off metal holder (fyi) had my mirror in hand

I am reading all of these wonderful posts about customer service and I’m just in shock because my experience today really was terrible. I was walking around the store not sure where to find the battery for my car key fob. I come around the corner, still not finding it, and I see a worker looking for something on the shelf. I kindly said excuse me sir, I was trying to figure out where to look for a battery for my key fob. He sits there, it felt extremely awkward. I literally thought he didn’t hear me, after zero eye contact or even acknowledging my presence for what had to have been a good 15 seconds of silence, he says “I’m in the middle of something.” I looked at him, and although I myself had a terrible day at work, I know not to take it out on my guests, and I said never mind have a great day. It was so off putting. I don’t even like to post reviews. But this experience was just gross and quite frankly unacceptable. I think a simple exchange of eye contact, and saying I’m sorry I’m looking for something for another customer at the moment, and then I’ll be right with you, would have completely changed the narrative. Shame on that gentleman. Caucasian gentlemen with long hair past his shoulders. I have been here before in the past, but honestly after today, I will not be back to this specific location. I am not looking for anything, all I hope is that someone can have a heart to heart with that gentleman and inform him to work on his customer service skills.
Went in to buy a battery but wanted a test on it first. He couldn’t do it because he was the only employee. Unfortunate. Autozone did a free test on my battery, alternator and starter and I got a good deal on my battery. Second time advanced auto couldn’t help me when I went in. (Newark location specifically), maybe the others are better.
Both guys who assisted me were very friendly and helpful, and I noticed other customers ahead of me getting great service as well. I wish I remembered both of their names, but Jose D. was on my receipt.
Went to just buy some oil and a scraper and had to wait 15 minutes while another employee or manager just stood there talking to his friends/family and the one cashier struggled to find a part for the couple in front of me. Not good customer service at all.
The store is supposed to open at 9 am door unlocked at 905 pick up my items go to cash register and stand there for over 5 minutes to pay is that how it goes there ?
Great people, went above and beyond for me. Insisted on changing my turn signals after I bought the lights and they didn’t have to do that. I’m extremely appreciate of the quality service I received here.
AutoZone gave me the wrong tap twice, Advance has a much better drill bit, tap and die selection. Definitely the place to go if you need to re-thread anything. Only place I found a 14-1.25 tap last minute.
I wasn't sure exactly what I needed, and an employee (I wish I got his name) was very helpful. He helped me look up the right product, find it on the shelf, and decide the right amount to buy. Price seemed fair. Store was bright, clean, and appeared well-stocked
Ordered a car piece, they told me to call in a week to come pick it up. Called after a week and “couldn’t find it”. They told me to call again the next day, again I call and still can’t find it. I call again and they put me on hold for over 20 minutes because it says it’s been delivered but they can’t seem to find it.
The worst customer service.
THE best auto parts store in Newark, DE! Always have what I need and at a reasonable price. Went to store #07103 yesterday, 25 May 2023 to get items for polishing and brake work, and Jose provided outstanding customer service! He noticed the rags I was purchasing had a better deal when buying in-bulk and saved me $10! Very pleased and life-long customer!!
Excellent, Jose runs a quality store, his staff is very helpful. I did not get his name but my tech not only got what I needed, he installed them for me as well.
I have a 98 Buick LeSabre limited I've used advanced Auto to rebuild my car my car has never run this good the guys there are always willing to help and answer questions to the best of their abilities thank you advance Auto parts
I've been to this location a couple times in the past 2 weeks getting parts for my truck. The customer service is always good. I went in to get a windshield wiper. Steve provided me with excellent customer service. He even put my wipers on for me. Can't thank him enough.
There's a lot of auto parts stores in the area, but I do like this Advance Auto Parts location primarily because they typically have what I'm looking for in-stock; and the employees working counter service are very helpful. I frequently order online for specific parts and pick-up in store. It's been an easy process to do so here.

Neal went above and beyond to.help me get the parts I needed when I wasn't sure what I was doing. My husband had called the wrong location due to Google mixing up the locations. He couldn't drive as he is recovering from surgery. The employee he had spoken to was at a different location.
Neal phoned the other employee and got the information we needed to get the correct parts. He was very patient, professional and kind.
We both appreciate this very much.
I’ve been here a few times over the past few months as I am new to the area. I have experienced nothing but unknowledgeable, arrogant, extremely rude employees. The disrespect that comes from this location is absurd. I went in for a part, was told it could be ordered. I said that would be ok, I could just try somewhere else. To which the employee was very rude and told me I won’t be able to find it anywhere else and snickered at me. Which I did, right down the street. I had to help a man in this parking lot charge his ac, because the employees didn’t know where to connect the Freon. I could go on and on about the times this establishment has been disrespectful towards me.
The parts specialist with the long hair is very friendly and helpful. I have started dealing with them on the regular since Pepboys, err Auto Plus has closed down @ College Square.. I guess nothing lasts forever, keep it movin! ^^
The one on kirkwood highway next to wawa and harmony road is the best. I never have a problem and Jose is the best person there. TOP notch service with him. I don't go anywhere else now.
Great service. And this is a REAL parts store. They helped me carry my heavy suspension parts to the car. Got a new Federally designed gas spiller while I was there. ;-(
Regular customer. Shelves are always well stocked, isles clean, and staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are fare. And the hassle-free used oil disposal is a huge bonus.
Great place to do business with. Free car battery installation and courteous, helpful sales people. Appreciate all the help I received from Ben who in my opinion is a great asset to the company. Keep up the good work.
I went into this store on Tuesday evening. The older man at the counter seemed like he had an attitude. He did not greet me when I entered the store, was very unpleasant, and had poor customer service skills. I just decided to leave without the items I came for. Its not likely I will return to this location.
