Instead of taking my money they looked up my vehicle, made a call & informed me that my vehicle was still under warranty, and had the tow truck driver take me to the dealership which saved me countless $ ! In short? These are good honest folks !
I have taken 3 different vehicals here, they have replaced a coil pack on my Lincoln Towncar, a Catalytac converter on my Chevy Express Van, and did brakes on my daughters car, all with no troubles. Even gave me rides home after drop off. Highly recommend to friends.
I brought my car to have service done at my local auto shop to have a leak fix that was leaking tranmission fluid from its tranmission oil pan. I showed Nick video footage that I have received from subaru dealership on what was going on underneath my vehicle, that I need to have the pan resealed to stop the leak. He was so confident enough to say that his shop could handle this repair. After having my vehicle for more than a day, I didnt hear back so I took ownership on contacting to ask for the statis of my vehicle and it happened to be ready. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle I ask if the leak is fix, Nick again over so confident says yes that the leak is fixed. I end up paying for their service. I received a follow-up to see how things are going, as I monitor my vehicle it continues to have the same leak. I take my vehicle back for a 2nd time, now I'm losing money, time, and took days off of work. Nick says I promise you we will fix the issue. Back again I have faith but what was strange is that he try to say it had other leaks, which is not true. This 2nd time around again my car was kept a day and a half without notifying me that they would keep it longer. Again I take ownership and contact Nick, he then tells me that the shop is not qualified and do not have the proper tools to fix the issue. That they are not a transmission shop, to take it to a professional in that field. My car is running worse than what I took it in, let alone it's a 2023 vehicle. I asked for a phone call back from Nick, I didn't her anything back. I gave it a day and a half to reach out to him. I asked why did I pay for service that didn't get fixed? His response is, it did you brought in to reseal the tranmission pan and rambled about that I have further leaks. Not true at all. This establishment is a joke, why would take on my vehicle and then 2nd time around say that your guys are not qualified? I am baffled to the fake customer service, this man only tells potential clients what they want to hear, just rob them for their money. As soon as I stated I was contacting triple B, and having my lawyer contact. He then became unprofessional, said to loose his number, that he would not speak to me anymore, and to have my lawyer contact him. What kind of BS is this. I'm so pissed to have been of my money. Please do not go here, Nick is not trust worthy, I had a gut feeling about him when he was on the phone with another client, that phony customer service talk, which is all fake. Poor quality work, equals job not complete, issues added to your vehicle. If I could leave a zero star I would. Very poor experience here, now I'm forced to take it elsewhere and spend more cash!!!!
Nick is awesome he fixed my Saturn for me so i can get a smog an did it so fast!!!! when everyone else told me to throw away the car there's no parts for the car he took the car in an fixed it there so awesome an amazing i will be recommending to everyone i know...
Nick and his wife run a very efficient repair shop. Clear and honest documentation of my vehicles issues. The best shop that I’ve worked with in the valley in a very long time. We will be taking all of our cars there from now on!
They may be ok for american made but not so great with imports. They will fix your car.. but it will cost thousands. Still is way better than J&M Auto that will damage your car and say it's fixed and charge you hundreds for them to do it. They gave me my car back idling at 2500 RPM! Marlars has been trying to get it running right ever since.
These dudes know what’s up. Spoke with Nick and he has Jaime do the work on my truck. I’m from out of town and was there on business when the starter on the truck stopped working. Call 4 different Ford dealerships and they either told me they couldn’t get the part or it would take a few days….
Was recommended to these guys and not only did they get the part right away, but they
fixed it earlier than they initially quoted me.
I cannot recommend these guys enough. In fact they impressed me so much I might drive my other trucks to them from out of state just because they are honest and fair.

Took my minivan here to make sure it was safe for my 16 yr old to drive. They told me that my transmission was shot and offered to buy the van from me for $800. Said that a new transmission would be 8k. Since then I’ve found a mechanic that I trust. The transmission was fine. There was a crack in the radiator. Easy and not too expensive fix. What a joke.
Trying to get my motorhome looked at was almost impossible when I called them they took it in at least just to look at it even when they were busy , now thats customer service found the issue with the engine fuel pump , plugs , had it back up In time for our river trip , this is our new repair spot....
I would always see this shop when I was a kid, and growing up here in Elsinore I imagined they would be helpful. It’s a joke and an expensive one at that. They claimed to fix something on my transmission and as soon I get on the road, gas is poring out of somewhere in the middle and becomes a different issue entirely. I take my vehicle back and wait another month for them to fix what they made a mistake on. I had a better chance at jiffy lube.
I’m completely satisfied with my experience at Marlar’s! My 1985 Toyota 4Runner had a blown head-gasket so I brought it in for repair. They were the first, and only, shop I called but I liked what I heard and they had lots of experience with 22RE engines. After pulling the head off we decided a complete rebuild was the best plan. I’ve never used this shop before so I took a big, and expensive, gamble despite the knowledge I have with with 22RE engines and general repairs. Carley and the team had excellent communication with me throughout the process. I was able to talk with their engine rebuilder personally so I knew exactly what was being done. Their mechanic did an amazing job getting all the work done and we even got the AC working again with the replacement of one line and a recharge. The rebuild came with a warranty and after 500mi they checked it all over for FREE! I’ve got over 1,000mi on it as of this review and it runs like a sewing machine! I’ve already recommended Marlar’s to a few Toyota peeps and I would certainly use them again for my other vehicles. Thanks Marlar’s!
Nick, Carly ,Steve and Alberto did an amazing job on both our vehicles. Our diesel truck engine was a mess and they did such a great job it runs like new. And they also worked on our Dodge truck which had to have the drive shaft and a few other things repaired. They kept us informed every step of the way and when we called or came by they never acted like we were a bother to them. They answered all our questions and even checks on us aft0er the trucks were done just to make sure we weren't having any issues. Thank you guy's for all you hard work and for going above and beyond to help us.
I usually get my 6.0 f350 worked on at American Diesel. They could not get to it for months. I had my truck towed to Marlars. They walked me through the diagnosis and explained in detail the issues I was having. I verified everything they said and their prices with my usual mechanic also with Diesel Injection in SB. Turns out Marlars was spot on. The price was just a lil high is what I was told. But to me well worth it for the convenience.
They finished the work within time quoted. My sounds and feels like a new vehicle. Very happy with everything. Looks like my trucks got a new home.
My new place to take my car for little and big needs, beginning with a greeting smile and friendly attitude, continuing with a thorough knowledgeable advice. 100% trustworthy!??

Well, I could not be happier with the team at Lakeview/Marlars Auto. I really had major engine repairs and extended time due to supply issues with Ford. They made the tough situation bearable and were helpful, friendly and great with communications and updates. Truly I will not go anywhere else in the future.
Service was great and charges were fasir and reasonable.
I think the best part is having a source for my repairs that I can completely trust and depend on. That's unusual these days.
Took my car there to get throwout herring fixed and ended up doing clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and also anew real seal because they said it was leaking, 1050.00 later I pick up the and take it home, next morning big puddle of oil under the car, took it back and he wants to charge me 160 for inspection, I tried to explain he just inspected the car when he did the clutch and he said oh it's your oil pan leaking , pan never leaked before I bought you the car and I asked him why did you not say something at the time of inspection , he stated never did and inspection, he says I only fixed everything else on observation????? Now he will not fix it , waste of money time, please do not use them , not reliable or honest
I have a 2009 Ford F250 6.4 Diesel. For some reason, I was experiencing the truck going into limp mode (no idiot lights just zero power) going up hills. After researching the symptoms on the internet, it pointed to a possible plugged fuel line inside the tank. Dropped the truck off and let Nick and mechanic Gage check it all out for $133.00. Was called back within a few hours later and told that the cross over pipe between the turbos somehow was partially disconnected on one side. While the truck was there, had new rear brakes and rotors installed and an oil change. Entire bill was over $800 which was reasonable. All in all, my experience with Nick and Gage was great. I found them to be honest and the pricing charged me for their services was reasonable. Thank you.
EDIT: The symptoms appeared again after a week. It turned out to be the High Pressure Fuel Pump which is located at the rear of the engine. Got a quote from Nick which involved removing the entire cab of the truck to get to the fuel pump. Cost was over $3,000 and Nick and Gage had the repairs completed within 3 days. This is not a cheap repair but is the inly way to replace the pump. These guys did an excellent job and I highly recommend them.

although he wasn't able to diagnose the problem he was very polite & explained things well. my ac is blowing cold & warm intermittently so of course it didn't do it while it was in the shop.
Good, down to earth, knowledgeable, and honest mechanic shop. I had a major fuel leak and stalling issues in my old ambulance that I converted. First let me say that working on an ambulance is nothing like working on a regular diesel motor because nothing is stock and they rearrange everything to make room for all the extra equipment. This makes finding a mechanic to work on it even more difficult ? After replacing the seals and fuel lines that were completely shot, it still had a small leak and was stalling. I called Nick up and took it back to the shop that next Monday to have Albert look at it again. They found out that my fuel pump was also leaking, but there was no way to know until it all got put back to together and pressurized again. The stalling they said was due to a sensor going out. To Nick's credit he did some research and found out that the sensor was a part of a recall from Ford 20 years ago, along with several other major safety recalls, that I was able to have taken care of by the Ford dealership for free. This literally saved me hundreds of dollars that most other mechanics would have taken advantage of and charged me for to make a quick buck. That little act of honesty is why why I will be bringing my vehicle back to Marlars for any future projects that are too hig for me to tackle! Thanks guys!!!
Great customer service. Makes you feel at home. No hidden fees or pressure for unnecessary repairs. I paid the advertised price for my smog check, not a cent more and was on my way in 30 minutes.
Nick & Kim where amazing very friendly and the mechanics where very helpful. They found a dip stick that fell out and brought it to my attention. They will see my business again
