Place is organized and they run it like a machine. Make sure your items are sorted before you get there. A couple of the guys are cordial, most of the others won't say a word to you but I have been multiple times and I would recommend.

Recently brought in some scrap items Copper included (uncoated) wire. Which later realized they gave me incorrect pricing #2 instead of bright n shiny as they describe on their price board! Always double check and verify even with recyclables ♻️

I’ve come to this place multiple times and they weren’t even busy. There were no lines and just because I had a few bags that were mixed and I showed him that I did not have a lot of bags maybe only three he told me that I had to leave.

I recycled cans here today for the first time. The process was super easy. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. They also have a VIP customer card you can get for free with your CA ID, and you get a little extra in can reycling when u show this card. Will definitely be coming here from now on.

I give 5 stars being that this is the best place around, normally...been going for decades and was always happy with the customer service till now. I very rarely post reviews...only when needed. PLEASE update your signage on the window and your website that says you are open till 2:00p on Saturdays. Twice now I've been turned away just after 1:30 with a loaded truck. I asked about window and website saying 2:00...the guys cop a major attitude telling me I need to call first because you close at 1:30. Why would I do that...no other business requires me to call and see if they're open during POSTED hours. Owner, could you imagine the increased phone staff you would need if EVERY customer had to pre-call and see if you guys feel like going home early today? I get having an occasional, early closing. This wouldn't have affected me so bad if it didn't happen twice now...then I get attitude thrown my way just for pointing out your discrepancy...wow. You guys do work hard AF...no doubt about it.

I recently hired this recycling center for a commercial recycling project, and they exceeded my expectations in every way. Not busy! One vehicle was actually finishing up unloading, when I pulled in right at 4 o'clock - the time they say they close... both gates wide open, with no indication that they were closing/closed! I was literally in an unloading spot at ONE (1) minute after 4pm, when this guy walks up to me before I can even get out of my vehicle and tells me "we're closed, we close at 4 o'clock" - I say "It's ONE minute after 4, really? You can't take this small load I have, take 5 minutes!?" "Nope," he says, "we're trying to get out of here." The gate's not closed, bud! I was able drive right in and park in an unloading spot! The small amount of recycles I had would've taken a total of maybe FIVE (5) minutes, from me unloading, getting weighed and getting paid! Yet, I was turned away AFTER I was allowed to enter and park (oh yeah, ALL of my stuff WAS pre-sorted and ready to go - simple and quick, yeah!) This is the 2nd time I was turned away, although at the first time, a guy was actually out by the street closing one of the gates and informed me that, although they advertise that they are open till 4:30pm, they close the gates at 4pm, so they can finish sorting, cleaning up and whatever it is that they do before going home, by 4:30 - I wasn't happy about having driven all the way over there, just to turn around and either go home or go find another recycle place (Love Earth recycling over off of Corydon - good place to go instead of cans plus!), but at least I actually was late getting there! I will not be going to cans plus ever again, seeing that an extra 5 minutes past 4 o'clock presented such a burden on their quitting time!!

Hello Cans Plus Recycling, I wanted to say I’ve never had any problems while recycling. The process that I take to recycle my cans, plastic bottles, and glass is something I organize at home. I also take 10 bags of recycling when I do go. It’s beneficial to wait sometime to have plenty so you can get a decent amount of money back. I separate them in their sections and throw them into the car. I take them to your establishment and then use your wheeling metal and plastic bins to separate them into the correct bins. I completely understand your policy about not sorting in the parking lot, it’s something that when you are busy on weekdays that it makes other people wait for a parking spot. I have done this and I appreciate it that’s it’s policy. Your parking lot is small, but once everyone understands what to do it’s smooth sailing. I love to recycle and get my money back, also it helps the environment. I am unsure if you donate the metal and glass to other facilities to then repurpose if you do, bravo. Thank you for being open when I need to recycle my cans and bottles.

Was the only one here and they didn’t accept my recycling because a few bags were missed and mixed ; and I was told to go elsewhere to sort ; really! I Was the only one at premises and was not allowed to sort; I get it , it’s your guidelines for when it’s busy but come on I was the only one there and still you wanted me to leave and then come back for a few bags that were mixed no customer service here ; and I even spoke to manager and his demeanor was my way or the high way, never comming back…

The Assistant Manger, Rob, has the worst attitude and worst customer service ever. He was very unprofessional and rude to me when I came into recycle my bottles. I understand that you’re not allowed to sort your bottles out but he could’ve approached the situation a bit better. He was belittling me by telling me to open my eyes and see the sign on the gate. Then, proceeded to ignore me when I asked why that was part of their company policy. Clearly, he didn’t have an answer and doesn’t know how to do his job right. If I was the manager at this establishment, I would look for a better employee that will not disrespect customers.

Friendly fast, I recently when again to sell my can. I came to find out they now take all bottles. Wine boxes and bottles too! I truly appreciate how hard they work. I arrived just on time, they can get really busy. Make sure your bottles and cans are sorted out before you arrive.

Horribly rude service. No customers at the facility when I arrived, everyone standing around doing nothing. Granted they had “no sorting signs” at the facility. I figured since the place was empty, no one said anything when I started and I had a truck full of cans & bottles they would allow it this once. I explained I was doing a favor for a single mom in the area and that I did ask if they were sorted when I picked them up. They asked me to leave because my cans and bottles weren’t sorted after I had 3 different bins full. They did however offer to take the 3 bins I had full. No thanks I’ll throw them away first.

The workers and in particular the owner who is there often are very rude. The owner will come outside and get in your face and argue with you over having 1 can in 2000 bottles. I also have seen cars with license plates from other states and no one does anything about it, which is supposedly not allowed.

My family and I have used Cans Plus for years for all of our recycling needs. Today, I was turned away for aluminum metal by two incompetent workers that didn’t bother to confirm the type of metal it was. I drove away and my gut told me to call the office to triple confirm. I was helped by Tony, whom personally stepped outside the office to confirm the type of material and assisted me with such professionalism and kindness! He was both informative and apologetic. He even hauled the material away for me without hesitation. Tony turned my one unpleasant experience to a pleasant one. Thank you again!

Very rude workers. One tried to put his hands in the trunk our our car to point out that we didn't separate our cans. They told us to go to Target down the street to separate our cans and bottles. They even told us not to come back because we were separating our bottles and cans. Just extremely rude and inconsiderate of their customers. Never going back again.

The staff is friendly. They are also very efficient in getting the customers in and out as quickly as can be done. Please be prepared with all recyclables presorted and ready to put in the designated(plastic, aluminum and glass) wire barrels before you arrive for everyone's convenience. It seems the only delays happen when the customers are not prepared ahead of time. We appreciate the fact, I'm sure the staff does too for everyone's safety, that they will close early when there are extreme temperature event days. Great business we have been going there for several years.

Been going there for many years. Their process is very effective and efficient. Never had an issue with employees. Always courteous and helpful. Its a tough job trying to manage people in the bull ring....Lol!

The guys were helpful. Other customers don't know how to wait in line and try to cut. The employees try to keep the peace and manage the lines. The baskets run low so you have to wait to get a basket. Make sure you get a recycling card to get the better pricing. I can't imagine working under the sun like that. I appreciate those guys.

PRE-SORT all of your recyclables and you should be good. Best to go with someone who knows the procedures already as it can be disorienting and confusing your first time. You'll need to get the rolling containers. Get at least one for each type of recyclables you have (glass, aluminum, plastic, etc). Then get in line to have your items weighed. Afterwards you collect your money. It's pretty fast and easy once you get the process down. I would say they are definitely clean, professional, and helpful.

Never experienced such bad service here, 05/27/2021. Familiar faces gone. Must of changed hands? Twice as many employees sitting around doing NOTHING. The one guy working hard got pressured by the others to stop at 10am and have pizza with them. I'm a 70 year old, 5'1" woman, yet not one offer of help and sent in circles from containers to metals.

Making people presort their load was the best thing ever! Use to work very hard trying to find the best time to go there without the wait. But now, anytime is great. This had to improve their numbers as well. Ive never seen anything other than those guys trying as hard as they can to satisfy the customers. Keep it up cans plus. You've earned my business for life

Because they request all items in bags must be separated prior to arriving it moves along fairly quickly, so the wait time Is less. They do a great job in keeping the baskets coming. I have been going there four years and have never had a problem.

I believe this is one of two recycling places in Elsinore. Definitely get their preferred customer card as it gets you the best price for everything. This place gets busy on the weekends and waiting in line on the street will get frustrating. Especially if you're backed up into the intersection. That being said this is the easiest place to get your truck into and out of. Staff is helpful and polite, I've been coming here for years.

I had nothing but a great experience every time I've been there. I've never been treated rudely by the office lady or any of the workers. Those workers are our there rain or shine. They are doing not the most pleasant job, so maybe you could cut them a little slack.

The people are rude and disrespectful. To be completely and totally honest I think that their scales are off. The girl that works in the office is completely and totally ignorant with absolutely no sense of customer service. I don't know where they found her but, they need to send her back. The manager is unorganized and pushy. Those people need some serious help with manners, customer service and just general courtesy. Avoid this place at all cost. It's not worth your time, loss of money or peace of mind.

Today I stopped by to check on pricing for copper and if there was a holed time frame. No hold time if you have a VIP card on file, by the way the price for striped copper is $1.92 a pound Update 12/21/17 Today I brought my plastic bottles and aluminum cans along with some scrap copper wire and received a fare price for my recycled materials $$
