Very unprofessional. The driver delivered a dumpsterto my neighbor’s property and rode up on my grass damaged some of my grass, putting dents in my yard and broke my pavers and when I called, and emailed them, they dismissed it even when I showed them my pictures and videos. The owner never called me back they never apologize or came up with a solution to fix or pay for my pavers. All they said was they told the driver not to drive on my property which I don’t understand how that’s going to work becaua that truck was too big in the first place, I don’t advise anybody to use them. I didn’t even want to give them a one star. I will make sure none of my friends or business associates use them.
Horrible company- first container had Caster that was locked up and flattened causing extensive damage to asphalt. 3rd and 4th containers had doors that wouldn't shut with out the use of heavy equipment (which I have none of on this jobsite). Meeks wanted to charge me to send someone out to correct the issue with THEIR defective equipment.
Let me tell you guys! This company is amazing. They are so so easy to work with they come when they say they’re going to get there and they pick up when your month is over. They will dump it and bring it back to you after your month is over and they are on top of it. I have no idea why they have a 2.8 rating. They really should have five stars. We’ve been using them now for almost 7 years. We’ve had a home that we renovated for five years and we had these dumpsters in our yard for five years straight every month. We are now building an in-laws suite for my father and continue to use Meeks Disposal.A+++++++++++
WRONG ADDRESS! A dumpster has been dumped in front of my home for over 5 FIVE weeks. It’s been filled and replaced 5 times. The work address is 3 doors away. NOT in front of my home. Meeks refuses to move it and the driver was inept. It’s obstructing the street. Horrible to think they can just dump a dumpster in front of your property and not remove it once aware of their mistake.
On March 16 (today) about 545am one of the drivers ran the light at shell road and I had to swerve (exchange lanes) and hit a huge pothole to keep from being hit my the driver. When I call the lady told me to contact my insurance for the damages! She keep telling me, we got cameras in the truck and yes we seen what he did but it's my place to fix my vehicle. Actually it's the driver or companies place to repair my vehicle! I have contacted a lawyer since the female supervisor thinks it's ok for the driver to run the light! I will also be calling BBB and I have a report from police! So the company I will see you in court! Unprofessional business! So if one if these drivers run lights or refuse to obey law, let them hut you because thus company is absolutely a joke! Police report was filed against this company! Next step is Chesapeake Civil Court! This company and staff is trash to cover up what there drivers do but got alot to say about what i did! U claim you seen everything on your camera but don't wont to speak on the dum driver running the light which I will be getting a copy of the red light cameras as well! I've left numerous messages for the owner Danny Meeks to return my call but...... I guess I meet him in court!
I am a property investor in the area and have used multiple dumpster rental companies. Once I came across Meeks, I have never left. Their professionalism and ability to drop and pick up quickly is second to none. They have very fair pricing and friendly service. Amberly is one of my favorite vendors to deal with. Makes the process so easy. Wouldn't use anyone else moving forward. I see people in the reviews complaining about their yards but if you are familiar with how heavy these trucks are and how big these containers are you would know that this is very common. Prepare your property for something like this, it is not their responsibility. Thank you!
WARNING!!!! Extremely unprofessional business. Used my yard and a portion of my neighbors to back up for someone else order. On two separate occasions left huge ruts in the yards and either refused to come and inform us or flat out denied doing it when confronted. Then either did the bare minimum to fix or nothing at all. Also crushed a portion of road that caused a deep pot hole & never informed the city.
If i could give this company 0 stars I would. They dropped off the worst condition dumpster in my yard (days late) I've ever used. It still had a few feet of concrete at the front. Giant holes in the metal on the sides, and a gaping hole between the door and floor that i had to wedge items into so, the rain water and other muck wouldn't be left in my drive way upon pickup (when that eventually happens). We requested removal on a tuesday. It's not friday at 6pm and it's still here... So i'll have to wait until monday now. Making that 6 days after our request for removal. unacceptable.
Meeks drove a heavy vehicle on our driveway and broke it when servicing a neighbor’s project, and then they blamed the driveway for the damage. Not good.
ZERO STARS!!!! My husband used this company for 8 years but never again! The staff was rude and very unprofessional. He ordered a dumpster for his client on Tuesday, expecting it to be delivered on Wednesday but and it didn't come until Thursday. The rep he spoke with lied repeatedly telling him they didn't have the order, then promised it would be there the next day, at one point even said it was delivered -it wasn't. After calling multiple times and holding for 20 minutes, I called and spoke with Shawn who was just as rude. At the end of the conversation he told me we could take our business elsewhere and hung up on me. If Shawn had said that 2 days prior, we would have! But no worries, we will never do business with them again. If this is how they treat repeat customers, I'd hate to see how they treat the new ones.

I ordered a dumpster on Tuesday at 12:13 for delivery on Wednesday. Once the rep got all my information I asked the following, What timeframe can I expect the dumpster tomorrow? She says I’m not sure yet, I won’t know until tomorrow morning. I said no problem. I call the following morning at 8am, To get an idea of the delivery time.
After waiting on hold for a few shorts minutes the rep coming back to the phone and says we don’t have a dumpster for you. I explained when I called and the importance of getting the dumpster out because my client was closing the following morning and everything needed to be out of the home for a military family that was moving In. The rep says I don’t see your order and the best we can do is try to deliver by end of day, but I can’t make any promises. I said ok and waited until the end of the day and called back. The rep said it looks like the dumpster won’t make it out today, so your dumpster will be on the first truck tomorrow morning and we start making delivers between 6-7am. I said ok thank you. Thursday morning rolls around -the day of closing. I call at 8am because to my surprise the dumpster that was promised still hadn’t arrived. The rep answers and says the box should be there any second. I said great and got off the phone. An hour later the dumpster still hadn’t arrived so I call back again and asked if she could tell me exactly where the dumpster is because it still hadn’t arrived. The rep says oh the dumpster was just delivered. I said great thank you and got off the phone. I called my client and said hey man the dumpster should be there. He says I left 10 mins ago and nothing was there. And I didn’t pass a big truck on the road but I’ll turn around. He gets back to the house and surprise, no dumpster. So I call a third time and express the importance of needing the dumpster and how I had people standing by for two days waiting on the dumpster. The rep puts me on hold saying she would check with the dispatcher. After holding for 20 minutes I had my wife call using her phone and a different rep answered. She tells him the situation and he says the dumpster will be there in 30 minutes. She begins to explain how this is unacceptable but before she could finish explaining, the rep blows up on her saying “well we can just cancel the can and you can go somewhere else. I don’t know what else more to tell you, have a good afternoon. ” -his exact words before he hung up on her.
Terrible place. They towed my car then held it hostage for 8hrs. I missed out of a day of work bc nobody was here in the middle of a business day till 5pm!
Their drivers are nuts. Going 30mph over the speed limit, weaving thru traffic like they think they’re in Fast and Furious. And tailgating like it doesn’t take them 5 times as long to slow down. I’m looking at you, truck that was going over the Monitor Merrimack bridge today at 1:30pm license plate TF-3002.
I used to think that makes metal on suburban drive what's the best scrap yard more honest and Sims metal but I took a whole load of number one prepared steel up there the other day and he says that prepared steel is not more than regular steel I've been scrapping for 20 years and I had all number one prepared steel count it up myself took hours but they lied to me and only gave me regular steel price I lost steel bars rotors brakes everything you get number one prepared still price for but after I dumped it out they lied and said that I couldn't get number one price bad Business this is a bad scrap yard I guess the same people that used to run it don't run it anymore or the same morals and principles that used to run it don't operate anymore.
