I recently visited this shop with my mom, hoping to get some advice on preserving or grading a low-value coin that's special to us. Instead of helpful guidance, we were met with an unwelcoming attitude that felt incredibly discouraging once the value was discovered to be low. It's disheartening when a hobby that should be inclusive and friendly becomes so exclusionary. The lack of interest in helping us, especially as beginners, left us feeling disheartened and disappointed. From my personal 2 minute experience, if you don't have high-value items, it might be best to seek out a different store. Many other shops in the area I've been to are eager to chat with their customers about anything and everything, making the experience much more enjoyable. I came here specifically due to the NGC locator.

Saw that the price of silver was up, so decided to cash in on some estate inheritance. Had did some research and had a ballpark idea what I might get. Initial reception was warm and accommodating, I had some physical issues which were accepted immediately. Very friendly reception by all When Buddy saw the extent of my collection he recommended we sit down at a comfortable desk setting. He was patient and informative and he explained every transaction I’m 78, been around, can spot a phony real quick All indications Buddy is an honest man, providing a service, doing what he enjoys, and making a living. I’m sure he made a few bucks on me today, which he should, but I came away with over $2200 Which I was delighted by my estimate. In a day when it’s hard to trust strangers, Buddy and his crew were refreshing, made you feel they were honest, sincere people.

The proprietor is very knowledgeable and considerate. He is transparent in all his dealings. He was gracious to my mother and I, and made sure we were comfortable with the transaction and items we were willing to sell or hold on to. There is no other place I would take my business.

I was pleased with my visits at Keystone Rare Coins. The employees were welcoming and pleasant. Buddy was knowledgeable and trustworthy. I would simply suggest having a seating area where people could sit while they wait to be helped.

One of the worst buying experiences that I’ve had at a coin store in over a decade. This store is not interested in selling any coins. Extremely rude owner and staff was not interested in taking any coins out to look at. Wasn’t greeted and had to specifically ask the staff in order to get their attention to even show interest as a customer. I can’t speak on if I were to sell to the store but if their offers are as bad as their customer service, I would 100% recommend going elsewhere

Had a good experience today selling a coin collection. I was given a fair price for everything. He explained what the items were worth and made sure the the price was agreeable to me. If you need an honest appraisal or wish to sell items this is the place. Well worth the visit today.

First time there. Wow! They have an incredible array of coins, stamps, quality collectible merchandise. Everyone there was helpful and friendly. Buddy the owner took care of us personally. He was very kind and willing to go the extra mile to research the coins we had brought for sale. His prices are fair and very reasonable. We will very happy with our transactions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is a beginner, novice, or expert at coin collecting. You will not be disappointed.

Had a small collection of old coins that I held on to for many years. After doing a lot of research on line about coin values, I separated all my coins by denomination and finally decided was time to cash them in. Did more research on line about different places that I could take my coins in for appraisal and potential selling. The one place that had consistently good reviews was Keystone. Decided this was the place for me and gave it a shot. Not the most glamorous of places, but I felt comfortable and confident as soon as I started reviewing what I had with the owner. He had a good "bedside" manner and the prices he offered me for my coins seemed fair based on what I had read previously on line. I walked out happy and confident with my choice of dealers and would highly recommend Keystone without reservation. All around, it was a pleasant experience and wish I had done it sooner.

I have bought sliver bars there ever year for the kids. Sure the place is not a 5 star restaurant. I bet my next silver dollar they know where every coin. bill. And every gold and silver bar is in this establishment. Great guys. Right on spot price . Everybody needs to make something. Or else no shop would be in business. Common sense. People complaining. Lucky I am not behind the counter. I would mark up the coins just as much as the other stores. Great place here to do real business

Wanted to sell my coin collection. I had done extensive research on the value of each piece of the collection. Called Keystone Rare Coins and set up an appointment to have the collection evaluated. Went in the next day. The transaction went very smoothly. Knowledgeable, polite, and professional! No pressure. No hassle. I received a very fair payment for the collection. Tips for selling coin collections: Be organized! Have the coins and currency separated, organized, and labeled. Be realistic about the value of your coins. Research the value of your "rare" coins before you sell. You may be surprised to learn that not every old coin is worth more than it's face value.

Went to keystone. To start off , raggedy looking establishment. Nothing looks organized everything is old and dirty looking and the staff there match. The customer service is terrible. Some of the women there always have an attitude, and have spoken to me rudely. The owner is unorganized, tends to be unresponsive when called, and shady with business dealings to say the least. He tried to swindle me out of my money and got defensive because I knew better. I'd go to a trap house before going to them. If I can offer them a suggestion get a new owner, preferably one who doesn't try to scam you out of your hard earned cash,clean up and practice being nice to people and maybe you'll be able to elevate that sorry excuse for a business into something respectable. :)

Went to other buyers, but they could not match the price from Keystone. No games, best price right up front and very easy to deal with. When you think you have a good deal, you owe it to yourself to get a final price from Buddy at Keystone.

I had a collection I inherited from a family member and it was just collecting dust at the bottom of my closet. I called and asked if I could make an appointment to sit with the owner so they could tell me what I had and the value of it. It was a very comfortable environment and the people were very friendly. I felt they were extremely fair in the prices they offered and they explained everything very well. I would definitely direct anyone to use them.

The experience with the Keystone was easy from start to finish. We just stopped in without an appointment and the proprietor was cordial and most accommodating. We got the appraisal with no feeling of pressure. We were able to have a smooth transaction from start to finish and we feel the appraisal/sale was honest and accurate. We had some old coins, the value of which we had no idea. We simply walked in the door at Keystone Rare Coins and were very politely greeted and then directed to sit down at a desk. In short order a very kind gentleman took a close look at our coins and asked whether we were looking for an appraisal or to sell. We replied that initially we just wanted an idea of the values. He kindly offered his opinion of value and invited us to come back if we wished to sell or if we had any further questions. We could not have been more pleased with the service.

I found them online when I was looking for a company to liquidate my father's coin collection after he passed away. I was truly clueless in how to process everything my father had, knowing that he was an avid collector, not all of which was worth anything. Buddy, the owner, met me at my father's house, helped me to sort through what he had. We brought the items back to his shop and he and his staff, who were very sweet, went through all the items. I believe they treated me very fairly and helped me make sense of the chaos. They took a very difficult time and made it just a little bit easier for me. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is left with the difficult task of dealing with a loved ones estate.

I went there today to see what my Grandmother's silver pieces would be worth. The service was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. After thoroughly looking at every piece (some were not silver) they gave me a check for over $400! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a trustworthy opinion of their valuable items.
