This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Based on recent reviews, GEM AUTO CENTER in Allentown, PA scores 78/100: generally positive but inconsistent. Customers praise responsive towing and fair pricing, friendly staff, and several smooth vehicle purchases; one truck passed inspection easily. Service downsides recur: mistakes on brake work, missed details, reluctance to fix errors, and one slow repair; another noted unclear car pricing. A few mention review authenticity concerns. Inventory value is noted, but selection depth is unclear. Yard organization and part-finding aren’t covered, so certainty there is low. Overall solid, with quality-control and accountability issues to watch.
My wife, daughter, and myself were broken down on the side of 309 Christmas Eve and called nearly every company but all were either closed early or charging over $250 until we called Gem Auto Center where Ibrahima quoted us less then everyone and came out to help us in less than an hour. Very helpful guy that was at home with his family enjoying the holiday! Thank you so much for the help! Will be using anytime i need a tow.
Got brakes done. Shop damaged my wheel by leaving a tool stuck on the control arm, rubbing on the wheel and misplaced a clip that was on my caliper. Refused any recompense. Refused to document refusal, Refused to give written documentation that the wheel is safe to drive on. My vehicle did not roll in that way, it should not have left that way. Shop added fake 5 star reviews to counteract the score drop from my 1-star. Do not trust this Shop to perform quality work.
A lot of false reviews. Recently had my whole engines basically rebuilt on my overheating car. New tires replaced and oil changed at a reasonable price. My car was in the shop for a while but it was for the best I have not had an issue with overheating since. Thank you Gem!
Purchased a truck at Gem, 2006 Ford E350 with a lift gate. I love it! It passed inspection with no problems and is running great. I cannot thank Gem enough, the owner was very nice and helpful, thank you again
