They take care of all the needs of my three vehicles and always do it with a smile and I can drive away knowing the work was done properly. Jeff’s the best.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They absolutely shot our vintage truck’s alternator “repairs” after charging us a surprise towing fee. Hundreds of dollars, wasted and worth nothing because we got stuck again less than 48 hours after getting our truck back from them, AFTER being unable to reach them about it for A WEEK after being told we would be able to pick it up after two days in their shop. Could not have had a worse experience and will be telling EVERYONE we know how awful and useless these destructive menaces are. Embarrassing and unprofessional to say the absolute least.

If you’re considering taking your vehicle to Oakley’s Auto Worx, please read this first. My experience ended in a courtroom — and I won a judgment against them. I’m sharing this so others don’t go through what I did. Everything here is backed by receipts, screenshots, and the judge’s ruling. My Dodge Durango was brought to Oakley’s on September 4th for a no-start condition. I paid $1,862.50 after being told the issue was fixed. Just eleven days later, the exact same problem happened again, and Oakley’s had to tow the vehicle back themselves because their repair didn’t hold up. Once they had my SUV for the second time, the explanations and timelines constantly changed. I was told it would be ready, then told something different, then told they had figured it out. But when I went to pick up the vehicle, I was suddenly asked to pay almost $600 more for the same issue they were supposed to have resolved the first time. When I questioned that, I was told to take my keys and leave. A couple of days later, the SUV broke down again with the same no-start problem and the same codes. At that point, I let them know in writing that I planned to take the vehicle somewhere else. That is when the owner, Ed, texted me a very clear promise: “I will have you a check today.” That statement was the basis for me taking the SUV to another shop who located the real issue and correctly repaired it. When I went back to Oakley’s to collect the refund he promised me in writing, the story changed yet again. The promised refund amount shifted. Then the promise itself was denied. At that point I had no choice but to file a small-claims case. In court, I brought actual evidence: receipts, the text message promising the refund, a full timeline, photos, and the paid invoice from AutoLogic. Oakley’s responded by bringing a lawyer. After reviewing the case, the court ruled in my favor and entered a judgment against Oakley’s Auto Worx. That judgment is now a matter of public record. Regardless of how they attempt to frame the outcome, the bottom line is that a judge determined that money was owed to me because of how the repair was handled and the broken refund promise. This situation never needed to go to court. Oakley’s had opportunities at every stage to resolve the matter the right way. They could have repaired the vehicle properly. They could have been transparent about what they did or didn’t diagnose. They could have honored their written promise to refund me. They could have chosen integrity over avoidance. Instead, they chose not to, and that choice led directly to the judgment against them. I’m writing this review so people in Guilford County can make an informed decision before trusting this shop with their vehicle. After everything I experienced — the failed repair, the shifting explanations, the refusal to honor a written refund, and the necessity of legal action — I cannot recommend Oakley’s Auto Worx.

The turnover rate from ordering me a new engine, to removing the old one and installing a new engine was incredible. From start to finish was 7 days. Their attention to detail about all of my concerns with my truck was 2nd to none. They even drove my truck around for a weekend before giving it back to me, knowing my very first time driving it was going to be a 3 hour haul to Tennessee. They didn't want to just send me on my merry way, and I appreciate that. My truck drives like is is brand new again. All.of the employees are friendly and helpful. They even gave me a ride to where I needed to go when my truck died, and they weren't insensitive about anything. 5 big fat stars.

Went in for my 1:00 vehicle inspection appointment to get my tag for this year. Staff was pleasant and prompt. The waiting area was clean, had a nice wall mounted TV and a Keurig coffee maker. They were finished and I was on my way on no time. I'm going back up there with my husband's car on Friday. Nice folks.

wow….called who I thought was Oakley’s on PG Road. Told girl what my car was doing and scheduled to drop off next day. Got to Oakley’s to learn they have 2 locations and I had to go to other one. They said I had 8am appt for transmission? But, we said drop off, no specific time and I never said anything about the transmission. So me and my ride home drove to the Broadway St location. I locked my car, as always, and because it’s not the best neighborhood, gave the girl at front desk my spare key and she said they would let me know what they find. I hadn’t heard from them, so I called right before they closed. A nice guy said they thought it was the axles. I told him the axles were just replaced two months ago and told him what my car had been doing. He said he was not told any of that, and I informed him that I had told the girl when scheduling. Apparently, she only heard the 2 words shifting gears, and she self diagnosed the problem as the transmission. She did not relay any of the information I told her to the service techs. The guy said it sounded more like a driveshaft issue, and he would check it out the next morning. That evening I looked up signs of a failing driveshaft, and those were what my car was doing. I tried to speak to service tech the next day to reaffirm with him that what my car was doing, mirrored driveshaft issues. But could not get past the girl. That day they again did not give this customer a courtesy call to let me know the status. So Friday morning, I had to call them again, to try and get a status update. Because they are closed on weekends and would be closed until after the Christmas holiday, leaving me without a car for a week, and no idea what’s going on with it. They again started with it’s the axles. Again, I told them the axles were just replaced. And I asked about the guy who said it looks like driveshaft. They said he wasn’t there. So I told them I would come pick up the car. But since they had again not given me a simple courtesy call the day before, I was unable to secure a ride spur of the moment. So this 61 yo, stage 4 Cancer patient had to walk 6 miles (2+hrs) to get there. Again, I told them the axles have just been replaced and they basically acted like I was a problem. So they brought my car around, and I noticed a couple things out of place. I thought it was weird there was a plastic grocery bag out. So I went to put it back in the armrest storage, only to find that someone had emptied out the change in the armrest storage. The tray was completely empty of the change and the other things I had in there. I immediately noticed that someone had rummaged through everything in the armrest storage. They opened up a brand new canister of gum, even though there was an open one in there. Everything I had in the top tray(minus stolen change), was now down in the armrest storage, on the floor, and in between the driver seat and arm rest. I also found change in the backseat. And they also went through the glove compartment. I went inside to ask the employees if they had locked my car, and they said they lock all the cars. So I told them someone rummaged and stole from my car, and she immediately said her employees don’t do that. And I said then you left my car unlocked and they denied that of course. There appears to be no sign of forced entry into my car. So it had to be an employee or they left my car unlocked. But they treat me like I’m the bad guy. I was just hoping they could fix my car. I never dreamed there would be this much drama. Zero communication skills. A front desk girl who wrongly self diagnoses and does not provide correct info to service staff. No courtesy update calls. Cars not secure or safe. Do not recommend.
