Rest Haven in Hagerstown MD has been service to our family and the Church of God & Saints of Christ of Hagerstown MD since 1983. Their personal, comforting, and professional mannerism in our time of needs as well as pre-planned considerations has kept us using their services. Do do alot of genealogy work....need to weeded around markers more often so they can be read....office reluctantly to help with plot locations....several bronze markers, date plates are loose or missing....said getting a data base soon that was 2016.......

Worst place in Hagerstown in my opinion. My poor Godmother had no life insurance and when her son and I were in there, and they heard she only had a few thousand saved up, they looked right at her son and said, "looks like you will have to have her cremated won't you?" How rude and SO unprofessional. Then the day of the service, i knew her son wanted to be in there alone with her for an hour before anyone else, as I walked in, some female, very rudely said to me, " you can't go in there yet." i told her I already knew that and proceeded to sit on the couch outside the door. She practically ran to the door and blocked it like I was going to go in and STOOD there BLOCKING it. Who the heck does that?!? To make matters worse, my Godmother was laid out on a flimsy metal table. NO pillow under her head, no blanket under her body!! Disrespectful to the core. I have and will continue to tell others to not use this horrible place.

Rest Haven is a beautiful cemetery, but it's sliding into decay since Mr. Ebersole passed. The trees are dying, many have been removed and limbs are always falling. There is worsening erosion behind the beautiful antique stone walls lining the Hamilton Run, which adds enormous historical charm to the cemetery. Yet no attempt is being made to preserve these walls and stop the erosion, even as it may threaten some grave sites. Unless management changes course, over the next decade or two Rest Haven will look more like a treeless golf course than pastoral manor grounds.

Most my family members are burry there and they take good care of your family members and i refuted my friend to them

I have worked with the staff at Rest Haven numerous times since September 2022 when my husband died. They are very understanding and extremely helpful. Arrangements had to be made long distance since I live in Florida. It was comforting to be working with such caring people.

It was time to make funeral arrangements. My husband and I phoned ahead to arrange a date and time at our convenience at Rest Haven. The known visual in our minds was one of a stream, trees, and green rolling hills. A smile greeted us. After introductions, we were taken to a private room. We were given a very helpful planning guide. We initiated the conversation to provide the who. What occurred in the following minutes was a professional, caring individual who explained in clear, easy terms what we needed to hear. Rest Haven will provide us a Celebration of Life with dignity and grace that we have chosen. Ours was an excellent experience that was stress-free and reassuring.

Everyone was very nice and thoughtful. They helped me thru very a sad time of my life. I would recommend anyone to go to Rest Haven.

On behalf of the entire Navarette Family, I want to thank everyone at Rest Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery for the caring and professional manner in which you handled the services, Funeral visitation and internment for my husband late Gerry Navarette. It was a very difficult situation for us and we are still dealing with his loss, but you and your staff (Jake, Jeremy, Eric, Andy, Christy, Lyanne, and everyone) at Rest Haven did an exemplary job in working with us through this tough time. You valued our grief, and without judgement, allowed us to express it in our own ways and on our own schedule. For that, we are truly grateful and are very appreciative of how much you and your staff care. Your compassion and help will not be forgotten and we feel that we are family. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

Everybody was absolutely wonderful always had time to answer questions even if they were off work everything was all smooth couldn’t ask for anything else treated us with great respect

It could be kept cleaner. It use to be so much nicer. When Mr. Ebersole had charge of it it was spotless and so well kept. You knew he cared. Now he is buried there. My personal opinion is that rose hill cemetery puts rest haven to shame. I wish I had not buried my husband there because the cemetery is not well kept. Plus their trucks run over graves and destroy them and they don't repair what they have badly messed up. I know because I have had to repair my family's grave many times. I think the dead deserve better because rest haven got their money from the dead. Years ago the place was beautiful, no longer the case. Wish I could move my husband. Wish I had not buried him there. Rest haven could do so much better with the up keep, but they don't seem to care. Makes me mad because even though our loved ones are gone we still want the best for them. Rest haven does not deliver that. Sad, and disrespectful to our loved ones who rest there. Before you buy lots there take a walk through the whole place, most likely you will head to rose hill cemetery where they actually care.

I've only had good experiences with this grave yard It is such a beautiful place my granddaughter is buried down beside the creek it is the best experience so peaceful and serene when visiting my granddaughter thank thank you God for your many beautiful BLESSINGS xo ??? xo

Beautiful place but wear boots because of the duck and goose poop. I asked them for information on a plaque for my Grandmother's grave because my "family", who buried her without even notifying us, did not have any plans for one. I still have not heard anything. However they were able to tell me where she was buried. Her whole family is there and she is next to her oldest son. But it kills me that she has only a number marked in concrete. She deserves so much more than that.

Beautiful cemetery. I visit the "Garden of the Good Shepherd" about every two/ three months as my parents are buried there. My only complaint is the maintenance leaves a bit to be desired. When I visit I always make sure I bring trimmers and a hand brush to clean the stone. This time when I visited it was a mess! I could barely read the name. The whole vase was tipped over, the grass had overgrown the marble base, and leaves were everywhere. I was very disappointed.

The serene atmosphere is a fantastic setting for such a peaceful place. This is especially true on sunny summer days.
