went in today 12/1/25 to get a Md inspection mr. allen showed great customer service and even asked me if i wanted to ride up and get lunch with him since i got there right before lunch time typing this from my wife google account....thank you to the staff at hunter's automotive for a good experience
Allen and his helper are excellent they inspected my 2006 civic took care of the small problems it had and off i went very good prices if you want fair prices come to hunters automotive
This place is a joke! A real scam. If you’re in need of car repairs, state inspection please go somewhere else!! He had our car for a month and did nothing! He took it apart and lied every day saying he was waiting for parts. Every time we arrived at the shop it was other customers there complaining about the same issue. I don’t know how he’s on business. We paid him $500 for work never done. We needed a state inspection. After paying him he told us to we could take the truck after having it for a month. He said if we get everything repaired bring it back and he’d sign off in inspection. After spending $1500 to fix everything he said needed to be repaired he still wanted to keep the truck for another 3 days to verify before he’d sign off on a state inspection. Why does it take 3 days for inspection. This guys a joke! I could write a book on the encounters.
Called and asked for an MD state inspection. Had me in the same day. Inspected my car. It needed 1 repair. Did that 1 repair while I was still on site. Passed my inspection. Accepted a mixture of cash and debit card. Gave me a receipt. Gave me my inspection report. Took me for a joy ride around the block.
100% pleased with my first visit here, and I will definitely come back for needs that they are able to help me with. Elmer Stone is a very kind, friendly, and relatable guy and it was a pleasure of an experience!
Got my inspection for motorcycle done here the guy seemed to be very overwhelmed had a lot on his plate made deals that i don’t think he could keep. Did get my inspection done but could see that it wasn’t a timely well ran business. Doesn’t have any record books or time slots. Would help them a lot if they had a receptionist that kept a book of peoples vehicles and times. Just tells people to bring there car in, makes deals he can’t keep. My business with him went very well but it did seem he had a lot on his plate. Needs to keep a record book of when people bring vehicles in and out would fix a lot of issues.
Terrible experience, if you don't want to waste your money and your time, don't come to this place, I took my car and for three weeks he told me “tomorrow, tomorrow” I paid 400 for something that wasn't fixed and he didn't give me the money back, never He gave me the inspection papers and I also paid 100 for that.
Lies after lies, We are still waiting to get the title & registration, months whent by ,still waiting for it,The motor vehicle needs to be aware of the problems and the lies,he is an dishonest person,the business needs to be shutdown
I went to this location for an inspection and they were too busy with the parking lot over run with cars parked everywhere. They need to clean up that entire lot because it makes Hagerstown look bad. It's like a junkyard. I couldn't imagine owning a house in that area. That place alone is bringing the value of homes down.
I paid him cash and next day he told me he didn't receive anything. When you pay him get receipts and be careful when he does inspection because he will list you lots of defects, even there is nothing wrong to make money for him self.
This place is great! My car had some issues and they were very kind and fixed all the problems and made sure my vehicle passed inspection and was safe to drive. Will definitely recommend to others. Thanks a bunch
Mr. Hunter was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. In and out with tag renewal stickers, in less than 10 min. Would reccomend to anyone. Job well done, without the hassle of going on line and/or waiting for stickers in the mail, or waiting in line at DMV, as usual. Thank you, sir.
Went with a problem of my truck running and cutting off, he saved me close to 300 dollars on diagnosing a faulty ground wire and now the truck runs like a champ, couldn't be happier with the job or the people. Five stars is bot enough.
This place is such a disaster! My boyfriend and I took our truck to this place on 6/22/2020. We brought ALL the parts ourselves for our truck. The only thing we didn’t purchase was the gas line and the lug nuts for the tires. We brought the transmission, roll over valve, tires and high beam light bulb. This man got our money $700, and now holding out truck hostage. The man said our truck been done since 7/7/2020. We asked him to do our inspection, he keeps saying it’s more work that needs to be done. How do he know and he’s been giving us the run around on doing the inspection. Then he says I done more work to your truck then you know about. Like REALLY! He’s a joke and I wouldn’t go there for business. He had us come up to his shop multiple times and NOT be there, he even locks his workers out of his shop when he leaves, it’s very unprofessional!
My husband and I went here for a state inspection and the people were awesome! Our car wouldn’t have passed inspection without the men there being damn good at their jobs, they found the problems AND fixed them very quickly as well as completing the inspection process. He even had tags there which saved us from a dreaded MVA trip, I have severe anxiety and absolutely hate places like that. If you need anything taken care of for your vehicle, Hunter’s is the place to go!
Don't ever go there!!!!!! Never tells the truth and will hold your vehicle hostage for weeks!! Can you believe that? Then on top of that when you ask for your money back their mad%*\/!? Please trust what I tell you stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could post a picture here of the battery connection tbey claim passed Maryland state inspection. No way and I wonder how they remain a licensed inspection station
