Only come here if youre just looking to get rid of stuff. I recycled over 80 lbs of separated aluminum, including extruded framing and engine parts but was given irony aluminum scrap value.
The only reason I gave one star is because it would not let me write a review without it. These guys rip you off. After I loaded everything up and drove over there I spent so much time cutting it in short lengths and taking all screws out. I was given irony aluminum prices. I had a engine head and intake and carbrator all attached together. You would think that's irony which pays .10 per pound nope they put it under light iron pays .5 / lb. Seriously how can you confuse the two. Took over 316 stainless rails of a boat I watched them put the rails in one bin and put other stainless in another bin because they know it pays more. There prices suck and they will burn you anyway they can. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. SAVE UP TILL YOU GET SOME WEIGHT AND TAKE IT TO SARGENT SCRAPE IN NEW JERSEY PRICES ALLMOST DOUBLE IF NOT TRIPLE. ITS WORTH IT. THESE ARE THE LOWEST PRICES IVE EVER GOT!!!!!
Took in a 40lb electric motor. The item list had electric motor on it but he marked it as light steel at $0.05 per lb. Its my fault for not double checking but it feels like I was blatantly ripped off. This trip a had over 60lbs of electrical components and they offered $3.05. Im not desperate enough to argue but I wont be going back again.
Took aluminum door jams and other aluminum that was a 1/8 inch thick that B&H gives me a fair price for and come out with.07 cents a pound. If I would have went to B&H I would have gotten close to .80 cents a pound. Took it in a trash can and after they dump it they weigh the trash can on another scale then the one used for everything else and I would have gave it away if I would have known they would rob you for like that. Sorry just every dollar counts when you have 3 kids and I could not say one good thing about the experience. I don't like talking about other business in the area but when you use different scales and give the ridiculous price I got I am stupid for not saying put it back on the truck and I should have went elsewhere. The two different scales to weigh on is just wrong.
Every time I take stuff hear I fell like I wasted my time collecting metal and sorting it they threw it together and gave me some b/s price for it wasn't of time just you should just give up collecting unless you want to make them rich $35 for a 5gal bucket of brass and they don't pay more for red brass JUST WANTED TO ADD STILL STEALING FROM THE LITTLE GUY AND SAYS TO GO SOMEWHERE ELS THEN SO I GUESS HE ISNT WORRIED ABOUT IT VOYCOTE AT ALL COST THIS GUY ONLY PAYS HALF AND THE SCALES ARE WRONG ALSO NEED TO SEND WEIGHTS AND MEASUREMENTS OUT TO TAKE CARE OF HIM

I have to say, Elkton Recycling is the cleanest scrap yard I've ever seen. Friendly employees helped me unload. Best price for my scrap compared to anywhere in Maryland or Delaware.
Terrible basic customer service skills(hello, good afternoon,how are you, or have a great day at the end of the phone call) During the Covid-19 pandemic, we want to feel appreciated. No matter where I work, I make all constomers feel appreciated no matter what kind of day I’am having.

The only reason the staff is nice is because they are ripping you off. They give about 50 cents less than competing recycling yards. I'm definitely a one and done.
Unfriendly and unwilling to explain their process. In the end I could have got 40% more going to Diamond State Recycling in Wilmington. Wish I could give less stars.
