Horrible management, total junkyard, and dogs run loose and attack you. Management won’t do anything. There’s cars just get dropped off to rot in neighborhoods crowding the streets, one on our street got a wasps nest and housing management said there’s nothing they can do about it. Cars will be tagged to tow but then nothing happens, 5+ year expired tags. Dogs off leash run around while owners watch them, I’ve almost hit them with my car driving home multiple times. One time it ran up and tried attacking 3 year old daughter. Called management and they said they’d look into it but the dog is still running loose and unleashed. If you have a problem and try to call them, they won’t call you back. Wife wrote a review about her experience and management commented they would call her and never did. If you refer someone to get your referral bonus, you’ll have to stay on top of them for weeks to make sure you even get your credit. Don’t live in here if you can help it

want to feel safe, respected, and good housing management? this is NOT the place for you. your neighbors will harass you by coming to your house at 9pm and pull your storm door so hard the latch breaks off just to pound on your main door, and borderline stalk you because you park on the public street. the housing manager will come to your house unannounced while your spouse is at work, but won't reply to emails, or phone calls. you'll have no hot water for 4 months while maintenance gives you many excuses & the run around as to why they can't fix the outdated water heater. they allow civilians on base and they smoke illegal substances even though it's in the lease they can't,( the whole neighborhood smells like pot). if you're a retiree, you'll be lumped in with civilians and have to pay $200-$500 more a month for rent. utilities are consistently another $100+ even they take ALL of your BAH....just save the headache and don't move here. edit: over a week later and they never called me. i wouldn't want people to think they tried to resolve this issue with me

I have nothing bad to say about this office! Everything was right on time and anytime that I needed to get in contact with them I always was able to. Tameka and Corinne are an excellent team and all of the ladies at the office!!!

I recently reached out to the housing office to discuss an emergency work order that was submitted for my home. Corinne Wright answered the phone and was extremely helpful!!! She assisted with submitting additional work orders but most of all she really made me feel like I was being heard. She was definitely a breath of fresh air and I'd like to compliment her on her customer service skills that day.

I called Thurs because I wasn't sure if an outlet was working. Through the app I wasnt able to change the urgency of the issue so we had to call to get it upgraded to an emergency. The guys came out in just a hour or so. Figured out the issue. Unfortunately the issue couldn't be resolved until the following day. And I did have to follow up to get a ETA but he came in fixed it and I am able to use the outlet appropriately and I am thrilled!

A Truly Outstanding Property Manager – Tamika Gilliam Deserves All the Praise!!!! I can't begin to express how grateful I am for the incredible support Tamika Gilliam provided my family during our recent cross-country move. From the moment we connected, she went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, making what could have been a stressful and overwhelming process feel seamless. Tamika’s professionalism, patience, and commitment to her clients are unparalleled. She took the time to listen to our needs and made sure to address every concern with a level of care and dedication that is rare to find. It's not often you come across someone who genuinely makes a difference in your life, and Tamika certainly did that. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had her on our side during this transition. Her exceptional service has left such a positive impact, and I truly believe it would be dishonorable not to give her the flowers she deserves. If you’re lucky enough to work with Tamika, know that you’re in excellent hands. She is a true professional, and I can’t recommend her highly enough!

I have not moved in yet. My review is on the process of getting approved. I had the pleasure of working with Tamika Gilliam. She was absolutely amazing checking in with me during the waiting process. Double checking that I had all the information I needed, and let me know she was available if more questions arose

Horrible, I wouldn’t recommend living on base housing to a homeless person. I am currently pregnant and we have had a smell that reeks like a dead animal you can’t even stand to be in the house to breathe let alone sleep or live in. I have called them out a minimum 5 times and they have done nothing not to mention if you have any issues at all they either mark it complete, never show up, or come on there own time. This is sickening and I wouldn’t want anyone else or a family especially with small children to go through this.

Normal military housing. The good is they were able to work with me and my large family and gave me a place that works better than what we were in the last year. House definitely shows signs of wear, I would say 8/10 the day we moved in after the last month more like 6/10 with things I've started noticing coming apart that im.sure I will end up paying for.

I would NEVER EVER recommend Dover afb housing!!!! Terrible place to live. They have terrible housing staff who have attitudes all the time and are plain rude. Mold grew in our house for months before anything was done. They charge for outrageous things at moveout. Definitely do NOT recommend this at all. Find elsewhere. Save the time, hassle, and money and find off base!!!!

I don’t live there yet, but I will be living there next month. So far, everyone I have talked to has been extremely nice and gone above and beyond in answering questions and ensuring I’m not left confused. Emails have been responded to a lot sooner than I’ve experienced with other bases. We’re coming from Goodfellow who’s Housing office(also ran by Hunt) is extremely rude and do not care about the condition of the house when moving in. The members at dover have been the exact opposite so far!! I will make another review once I get into the house (It’s military housing so my expectations are not outrageous). But super thankful for how awesome they’ve already been!

Don't do it. Live somewhere else. Houses are outdated and they take every single penny they can despite the houses not being worth it at all. We moved into a disgusting filthy house with stained carpets that reeked. You're always getting the run around from someone.

Most of all the houses have mold in them that they just paint over. There's cracks in the ceilings and in the walls from water damage. When you put in for a maintenance request it takes forever for someone to come out and do a half a** job at fixing it. It also took MONTHS to get into housing even though there were empty housing.

The only thing i really dont like is that i am not able to work on my car inside my private garage. Theres a bunch of apartments out there that lets you work on your car so long as you make sure you leave everything in the same order as it was before. I would rather work on my car at my place. If you would suggest using the hobby shop. Would rather live in a different apartment since these houses are infested, very overpriced, and also makes me really wonder why civilians can live here when active duty military needs it more.

The guy that came to our house to program our garage door openers (Took a month to even get them) was super nice and helpful. However, on another note be careful with your kiddos outside playing as the maintenance guys love to speed through the neighborhood. Excuse me dude in the reg cab Silverado who threw his hands up when we crossed the street. Maybe you should slow down in a residential area.

Poor,Poor. We drove from Arizona to Dover base and street to air force housing. I have 5 children and two of them are super young. We are expecting to come home and get comfortable. We are supper excited. But our expectations and excitement are very poor. We come home the house are dirty. I have a very bad anxiety and i’m suffering for Germophobia. We came home disgusting. I puke how many times because of tired, stress, anxiety, and disgusting. I have no choice to but to clean, because of my two little one are running around. But i can’t stop itching because of my Germophobia. And plus the air conditioning are not cold enough so we couldn’t sleep that night. Even we call the maintenance but still the same? So my 5 kids are crying for air conditioner. You have no idea how’s goes this to us.PCSing are supper stress. And we come home disgusting. Help us pls. This is not acceptable. We are a human not an animals.

Message: I just wanted to send my appreciation to Jeff and the Hunt Property Maintenance Team. Jeff recently replaced an old, poorly functional Amana dishwasher at my residence. I am so happy with this new dishwasher! it is cleaning my dishes properly, as well as drying them nicely. This may seem like a small matter, but it truly means a lot to me! Many thanks to Jeff, and everyone on the Housing Maintenance Team for your great service. Sincerely, Brian LaRochelle

Just live off base, trust me. The houses are okay I guess but you can find bigger, nicer houses off base for cheaper. Then you'll actually have equity in something instead of throwing your money away. And when you move out, you could do everything in your power to make sure not to owe any money. They'll tell you you'll receive a letter in the mail within 14 days. Then they'll just charge you $1k but not even mention it until they email you 8 months later and they're about to send you to collections. Then you'll try and email or call them and they won't answer for between 2 to 5 months. Yeah...oddly specific. Just live off base.

I’m pcsing soon but this was my first experience living on base and it was great. My home before this was great and I thought I’d have adjust to living here but it was such a blessing ! I chose to live in the junior enlisted housing and saved money. Maintenance was always wonderful and came fast to resolve issues we had. Over all I’d recommend living here. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the front office staff changing out so often and with Covid I think some things got lost in translation through emails and letters. PLEASE ENSURE YOU GET A PREINSPECTION BEFORE YOU LEAVE NO MATTER WHAT . They wanted me to pay over $500 for cleaning fee/damages.

DO NOT LIVE at Eagle heights. We stay on base because it was Convenients to us so we don't have to buy house. Poor service when we live there from 2014 to 2019. It's been four years since we moved to our next station. In 2016 or 2017, we moved to other house on base housing because we had a friend move in and take over the lease because he needed a place and our family is growing. He took over the lease of the old house( High St.) and we moved into bigger size housing for our family of four on Ash Ct. Our friendhad people moved in and stay with him. Short story Debt collectors called saying we owe money for the house in (High St) the year of 2021when we live in Wisconsin, not Delaware. But we have all the paperwork and payments down to 0$ owed. My husband ( nice people) called them 14 times and left them nice messages. Didn't hear from them. But when I called I was letting them know if we don't hear from them, I'm flighting to Dover to give them a piece of my mind. They called back in 30 minutes. We still trying to fix this problem with them, they say we don't owe anything and now our credit score is mess up. I repeat do not stay at Eagles Heights, we know oher people getting screwed over by them too.

Well after 3 weeks of waiting and hoping, and calling none stop ( they never answer) I finally find out that I was denied. Normally I wouldn’t care but I believe the right thing to do is not to leave people hanging. The application was I paid service. And I should be treated as a customer not less-then because I was denied. Typical Air Force better then you mentally.

If you’re married mil-to-mil, I would not recommend. Married to a dependent? I would not recommend. Single? I would not recommend. The only thing I enjoyed about living here was the convenience of being close to base. Don’t get me wrong. The staff is nice. I especially like Tammie. However, I can’t speak on anyone else. They “take messages” and then don’t give them to the person the message is intended for. So, you just end up having to call back anyway. They gouge you upon move out. I’m pretty sure I ended up paying for bulbs that had just blown out... honestly, I’ll probably never live on base again, even if I PCS.

Decent place to live if you like being close to work and you have kids. The school is great and the amenities are great as well. The major complaint that I have though is that the landscaping company who mows the lawns do a pretty shotty job from time to time.

This place is okay for military housing. Civilians are allowed to reside here, and they generally pay less then the military members. Therefore, something is very wrong with pricing. If you're a military member with children this is a decent place to live. If you don't have kids, save some money and live off base. The homes are spacious and alright looking. However, management will gouge you upon move-out. I have NEVER had such and expensive ordeal just to move out of a home. They nickel and dimed everything, even things that most other places would overlook. For example, some paint was on the floor of the garage when I moved out, they then charged an exorbitant rate to clean a spot no bigger then two inches. If I had a larger family I would reside here again due to the amount of rooms for the price. Since I don't, I will avoid this place absolutely.

Was great up until our neighbors moved in. We are in a special needs house because of our daughter who has Cerebral Palsy. Our neighbors aren't a special needs family and they stated when they moved in that this is the 5 house they've had in the time they've been here. Problems: their dog barks all hours of the night + everytime we open the back door or just stand outside it barks, they smoke in the house and now our kitchen smells like an ash tray. We've asked them about it and they just said that they were allowed to smoke in the house. We've asked the office and they said there's nothing they can do because we don't live in a non-smoking facility. Once this lease is up, we will be moving off-base!
