Worst customer service ever!!! I renewed my service contract on my Cadillac and was told the 1st month would be $49 only to be charged $49 + & $129 a few days later. When I called to cancel and ask for a refund I was told 3-5 business days for my refund. 3-5 days later no refund so I call to ask about my refund to find it was never processed. So now I’m told 7 days for a refund for both my $49 and $129 only to be refunded the $129 and never received my $49. Whatever, I received my $129 and got an confirmation cancellation email and to never have to deal with the poor customer service I’ll take the $49 loss, but wait it gets worse. A month later I get charged $158 from a 3rd Party billing company for empire auto (Walco), even though I never agreed to auto payments and I done cancelled services at this point. Once I contact the 3rd party billing company they tell me I have to contact empire for my refund smh. Again I contact empire and ask for my refund and this was yesterday 5/11 and was told 3-5 business days…….. today on 5/12 empire auto charged my account another $129, why??? At this point I’m livid. So when I call back yes my voice is a lil elevated cause why are yall still charging my card? Only to be told I never cancelled. What? Sir I have a whole cancellation email…… the service rep then hangs up in my face saying he’s not going to listen to me yell. This has to be the most incompetent company ever I’m convinced or either very deceptive practices are being ok’d at Empire Auto. My advice avoid at all cost!! Cancelled on 4/23 and still being charged on 5/11 & 5/12

Everything was good, the coverages offered was excellent compared to what the act dealer was offering. They offer 100k miles vs the dealer 36k miles of coverage. Now the only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the billing guy James was semi rude and just plain told me he can cancel it if I don’t like it to wait to get some kind of proof of what I got. Instead of him trying to send me proof of my purchase.

Horrible Horrible warranty company. I was paying them for 7 months, I decided to buy a second car and added the car to my policy. The service rep never told me that if I add a car to my policy the one I already had would default. my car broke down on the freeway and needed a tow, I called and the lady said my policy was not active. I called the next day just to find out my policy started all over again. Long story short this company is not good and highly do not recommend and their customer service is horrible. The customer service rep told me they dont have time to listen to me or my problems.

I had an excellent experience with Empire Auto Protect when it came to getting my engine repair approved. I purchased the coverage. It was Curtis Miller who sold me and promised me to send me the document and ID in the mail. I asked him send me in the email. He said ok. Two days passed no email. I emailed him, no response. I called a week later, another person said he is not available. Asked him to send me the declaration in the email. He forwarded the same email that Miller had sent as a quote. Waited two weeks, never got any response. I finally called and requested to cancel. The different person answered and asked me why, I answered not needed anymore. Asked him to refund the charged amount. He was reluctant to do so and said will send the cancellation email in the morning. They never send me the cancellation confirmation nor any email even after 25 days now. Please, Please, Please, do not buy any coverage from this company. This is a total scam. Even BBB said this is not accredited business.

this is a scam. do not get this warranty. even if it's offered for free. it is a wast of time. and if you google 'empire auto protect lawsuit' you will see exactly what i'm talking about. their main tactic is to ignore requests to connect with them. they hope that you're in a bind, and need your car fixed, and so you go ahead and get it fixed since it's sitting in a shop. then, when you try to submit a claim, they will say that you needed their prior authorization. but, you tried for a week to get a hold of them. they ignore that. so, then you learn, and spend a whole week trying to get a hold of them, then they will tell you it's not covered. also, remember the guy Eric (in my case, in your case whatever phoney you're dealing with) that was soooo helpful when trying to sell you a warranty? he disappears. place is a joke. save your money. i wish i could give minus 5 stars. that's what they deserve. straight scammers.

Don't trust them I paid for a year my policy and now I had trouble with my engine. I changed my oil and everything now empire won't fix my engine due to the car dealer I bought it from won't give them their maintenance records on the vehicle. I can't give them what they won't give me. I followed my plan as said but now I have a messed up engine they told me to cancel my policy and I get no refund. Don't trust them they will scam u when u need them to fulfill their end

Evening my fellow Americans, I was searching for better auto warranty plans for my 2017 F150 XLT truck as Endurance my recent provider SUCKED, they dont cover jack!!! So I found Empire today Tuesday, 10FEB2026, and sounds like a plan I had a while back that expired, but worked well with my wants. The CSR John helped get it all taken care of over the phone in as easy as 1, 2, 3... I greatly appreciate his time and efforts in assessing me. I personally had a great experience with Empire. I spoke with Eli, the manager, and he made me feel welcomed and informed right from the start. The all-inclusive plans and excellent monthly pricing are honestly the best I’ve heard so far. I called several other places and was told only certain parts would be covered, no rentals included, and prices were over $170 per month. Empire was completely different. They are absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Unfortunately, I had to give 1 star i would give -10 for this company. Please look up the BBB complaints bc reviews with 5 stars can't be real!!! I started with the company paying under $110 then the company decided to increase my monthly rate without even informing me. I called in September 2025 and asked for a manager to call me back, off course never got a call. I called back and asked why they did not inform me about the increase and that my contract had extended. I was informed of nothing. Called the company and spoke to several ppl that day, Empire Jacob 1/15 9:05 am , Henry 1/15 11:45 am , John 1/15 12:06 pm , and each of them told me I will get a refund and that my contract has been cancelled per my request. No refund called back Vincent 1/21 1:06 pm told me again refund will be issued and since the company only issue refund fridays it will be processed that coming Friday. called back again spoke to Brian who is supposed to be a manager and stated since it passed 30 days I won't get a refund and that my contract was not cancelled. Also was told by Brian we dont see why all these prev agent would tell me that I will get a refund, well since calls are being recorded (which by the way, there is no announcement when you call before you get connected ) nothing was mentioned that I was told by several employees I will get a refundI filed a BBB complaint and as a respond I received nothing but excuses and off course nothing was mentioned about prev conversations. I am not the only one who experienced this and of course it is not on ggl review but BBB.

I purchased two contracts from a representative named Dan, who assured me he would be available if I ever had issues. About a year later, my reverse camera failed. Even though I had their “luxury electronics” coverage, it took them two full days just to review the claim, and only after multiple follow‑up calls from me. In the end, they covered only half of the repair cost. I cancelled both contracts in December 2025, but they never refunded any portion of the premiums. Instead, they continue trying to collect monthly payments by sending texts and emails, even though the contracts were cancelled. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. I strongly recommend staying away from this company.

I was comparing pricing for extended warranties today and I came across Empire. The customer service representative was extremely helpful and explained the coverage to me in detail. The price is better than what I found anywhere else. I will definitely be using this company for my husband's vehicle when his warranty expires.

Today I experienced a bad deal with empire auto protection/ Headstart auto group, my advice to anyone looking for extended warranty for your vehicle, look at the reviews before buying, I've been dealing with them over 2yrs, vehicle had no problems, now my vehicle had a issue with my headlight harness burn out and my driver window motor when out, dropped it off a the nearest deal which is chevrolet, then determined what the issues are and filed a claim with my warranty company, warranty company doesn't want to cover electric issues, and told the dealer to purchase a aftermarket part which the dealer doesn't not do, do to there policies and can warranty out something that is not of their nature, on top of that job cost $700 plus dollars and my deductible is a $100.00 , warranty company said there willing to pay $140 odd dollars for the repair and leave me with a balance of $500 odd dollars. Call warranty company lady got on the phone and told me that my policy is a might be cover policy, I'm like what the hell is that. She said your only paying for the name, not the coverage, my advice to you is avoid these companies at all cost , because it will cost you in the end take them to court which they will have to pay you for lose wages from working, court fees, and repair fees

I had the pleasure of speaking with Eli Cooper about an extended warranty. He was able to give me a full bumper to bumper, at an incredibly affordable cost. We went out on a limb to pick up this vehicle, and are happy that we found empire to cover it. I highly recommend calling and asking for Eli, as he will make sure your investment is taken care of!

It’s rare these days to find someone who genuinely cares about helping you get the best protection for your vehicle rather than just making a sale. I now feel much more confident knowing my car is covered, and I know I can reach out anytime if I have questions.

Update: Company's reply is only HALF correct! They STILL haven't responded to my rim policy issue. Scammers!! I will be reaching out to BBB and Attorney General. I've called 7 or 9 times to try to resolve this- I'm done!! Horrible experiences!!!! Nothing but problems and I'm exhausted!! Both my Dealership repair shop and I have been wasting time on MANY phone calls with these people! I have spoken with at least seven people the past few days (one of them said they couldn't see that from record), with no resolution: just more questions. Apparently, the payments I made for 3 different warranties from this company: IN-FULL 2 YEARS AGO- were never sent over to the warranty division, so now I'm waiting for checks to clear before they even begin looking at my claims! I was also just told this morning that my claim for my rims isn't covered by my tire plan because cosmetic repairs weren't selected! I 100% asked for that!! That is the only reason why I wanted that plan to begin with! I am asking either that it be honored, or that I am fully refunded for this warranty! I also need to be sure that my OTHER vehicle i paid a warranty for is updated as well. I have only put in claims for the Escalade, but I need to be assured that my Jaguar has coverage when i may need to file a claim. I shouldn't have to go through this again Also, i was just hung up on by one customer service rep while stating my issues, and THEN the second rep I actually spoke to after I called back again was extremely rude and condescending! He should have been kind, polite, and empathetic considering all I have been through. I swear he tried to get me going on purpose and was trying to get me to yell or swear so he had an excuse to hang up on me His name was Jeffrey. Absolutely unacceptable!! I'm in customer service as well, and I would NEVER hang up nor speak to my clients in such a manner! I keep getting the runaround from everyone This entire experience has been truly disgusting!!

This company is by far the worst and the most deceitful company I’ve ever dealt with. I was sold the dream over the phone but when it came time to pay I went through hell. They will cover parts but the parts are the cheapest parts on the market and they only compare price from one source and will not pay the shipping cost. This company is horrible, the shop will be on hold for hours before they get through to someone. Please make sure you read the entire policy and ask the right questions before you chose this company. Let’s see if the owner will answer this review as well. I regret ever buying this policy. I rented a car because they sent an adjuster twice to verify if the damage was real, I paid $1,700 in car rental and they only gave me $180 Because they took their sweet time to get the repair approved and cover the cost. This company is terrible and I bet that all those 5 star clients are fake. They cannot be real. There’s too many fine print which I implore you to read rather than listen to the great sale pitchers they hire. My goodness these dudes could sell water to a whale.

Good conversation and Paul was informative on all my questions I had. I haven't used the service but they sound legit and will update in the future if anything services is required for them. I dealt with Paul and he was nice and thorough. It is good to know companies like this that offer these services just in case something does happen to your vehicle and your warranty doesn't cover it. I would definitely recommend it to others just to be on the safe side. I have already recommended to my sisters after my conversation. I been looking for companies like this. I am glad I am finally with a company that seem honest! So I am looking forward to working with them!

My name is A. White from PA and I have to say, I love this company. Empire auto protect came through when I needed them the most. They have helped me fixed over $10,000 worth of damage on my Mercedes ml350 which isn’t new at all but was in great condition. The turnaround time was quick and the claim process was very smooth. My car was running fine until this summer, when it started to give me problems. Empire auto protect stepped right in and helped me save tons of money on repairs. I’m glad I was already with the company before these issues arose. Now I can drive my beauty with no worries.
