Ive been coming to this particular store in North Dover for the past 5-6 years and I’ll keep coming back because the staff (Merl specifically) is very experienced and willing to go above and beyond to help. I’ve witnessed him help customers on the phone, in person, and directly for myself. Keep up the great work ? He deserves a retention incentive !

Great experience! I swung by this location recently when my car battery started acting up, and I couldn't be happier with the visit. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly—they didn't just point me to a shelf; they went above and beyond to help me find the best option and even shared some solid maintenance tips. The store is spotless and well-organized, making for a very pleasant and professional atmosphere. The location on N Dupont Hwy is super convenient, easy to spot from the road, and there’s plenty of parking available. I highly recommend this branch to any driver in Dover looking for top-notch service and expertise.

I had a bad experience with a return. Yesterday, I made an online pickup order for headlight bulbs, I even triple checked that my correct car was in the filter so it would be the right fit. I ordered one that said “exact fit.” Unfortunately, they were not the correct ones but I had already opened the package because I did not know about the policy of returning electronic parts. I made sure to call and ask if I could return them, and the gentleman on the phone told me to call customer service and they would probably let me. Customer service gave me a “one time return” after calling the advanced store. Today, I went in to do the return and immediately the woman (who said she was a manager) was rude to me. She claimed they never got a call from customer service and rudely told me “this is why we tell you not to open the package” (which nobody had told me). I even showed her my email from customer service. She also assumed I had the wrong car selected when I ordered it and I told her I checked multiple times. It was just an unpleasant interaction, especially as someone who works retail and would never treat a customer like this, with a bad attitude and slamming the product and receipts down. I have been going to this store my whole life and I would have understood if I wasn’t able to return the product but customer service told me it was okay.

Took my coworker there to up a part for his car . Seem that they had picked the wrong part for his online order . Really wouldn’t be n issue to just fix the order n get the part . As he was telling her and trying to explain to her they had pull the wrong item for him the sales person came off very condescending they way she responded to a point that she seem angry to be there helping him out . We where surprised, cause usually they are good at this store . Unfortunately I had to take my coworker to a different store to see if they could help out with the part he needed .

I have gone to Advance Auto Parts store 7236 three times within the past month. Each time I visited the store, I received top notch service. Mr. Hill and his team are true auto parts and service professionals.

Went in and the young man looked at me like I had two heads and talked to me like I was 2 years old. That was my first and my. LAST TIME in that Advance Auto Parts. I will travel to another one to get better treatment.

I used to give them 4 or 5 stars but the last 2 times I went there the rules changed and they just wanted to sell me something right or wrong. I'll give them one more shot.

I’m not sure what these other reviews are talking about but every time I come into this store I’m followed and asked multiple times what I need and if I need help. They’re unbelievably scared of a 19 year old covered in grease looking for detailing supply’s and electrical connections.

This particular Advanced Auto is the best parts store in this area. They are super helpful and usually have more in stock than anyone else. If they don't have it, it's probably some weird application that no one would have anyway. They have become my go-to store, even though they aren't close to me. Thanks

Very helpful and friendly staff. I came in with genuine concerns, and the gentleman was able to point me in the right direction. Glad I decided to stop in since I was only passing by.

Same as most Advance Auto Parts stores they have what you want or they don't. Staff at this location ranges from friendly to annoying and occasionally grumpy. I think it's more annoying when they bombard you while you're shopping and don't seem to get the hint you don't need their help. However when you walk to a register it takes forever for them to provide you with assistance when you do need it. I usually end up going to this location when the store up the road is "out of stock" on parts I need. I noticed that Advanced Auto doesn't seem to restock stores once inventory has been depleted for certain parts, gaskets, etc. So that's not always helpful on their end.

I had to jump start my car to get here in an attempt to purchase a battery. There were 3 people working in the store from what I could see. One man was clearly helping a customer. Another man was on a computer endlessly looking up parts for a customer that I couldn't see. And the third person was a woman who sat there talking to a customer for 15 minutes even after he had checked out. I walk over the guy who was looking up parts with no one infront of him and he informs me he will be with me shortly. 10 minutes later I'm still waiting. The customer who was running his mouth talking to the lady finally turns around and sees me still waiting and told me I could have at it as he exited. I walk towards the counter and the lady walks away to help the guy who was looking up parts for the invisible customer. At this point I'm pretty annoyed but I stay quiet and continue to wait for help. She comes back and I tell her I need a battery for my car and someone to put it in. She proceeds to tell me they don't have enough people to handle that request at the moment everyone was leaving except her and the guy who was still looking up parts BUT there was no one else in the store. 30 minutes standing there just for these people to not help me. There was nothing preventing the battery installation except laziness. People would rather pretend to work and run their mouths instead of actually helping you.

I went into store for deicing washer fluid, they only had 1 bottle on shelf of the type I wanted. I asked if they had more. They did & also refilled shelf. Customer service was great.

I will never go back to this store again. The staff was rude, condescending, and severely lacking knowledge when it comes to actually fixing cars. Did not have the parts I needed and kept trying to tell me what (expensive and unnecessary) alternatives to buy from them. Little did they know I had come there with my husband, who is a mechanic.
