Pays his vendors late consistently over 10 years then makes false accusations when we don’t want to work with him any longer. I would not give this guy any business.
I called ahead on Saturday before driving 20 minutes to recycle clean concrete. I was told they closed at 2:30, no mention of any earlier cut-off. I arrived at 2:15 to find the gate being shut. When I explained I had just called and driven out, the staff were rude and dismissive.
One worker then told me I could still dump my load if I gave him $20 cash — even though clean concrete recycling is supposed to be free. That felt like straight-up extortion. After looking through my truck everywhere, I came back with cash, he changed his mind, refused to let me in, and even flipped me off.
This isn’t just unprofessional, it’s unethical. As a licensed contractor, I’ll never use this facility again and will make sure none of my clients or colleagues do either. Management needs to be aware of this behavior immediately.
Horrible place to go. Dirty driveway and less than honest employees. I took an all aluminum block and head to recycle and the guy rings it up as transmission which pays way less. Then after that they tell me that they can’t pay me because the id they have in their system is expired and won’t accept my id on google wallet. So they kept my metal and never paid me for it.
Website says it closes at 4:00. Got there at 3:52 and the gate was closed. We had appliances that would have taken 5 minutes to drop off. An employee said they close at 3:30 and wouldn’t let us in. Very frustrating.
Been going here for quite a few years and always have a positive experience. The employees are always friendly talkative and informative.
So today I went to drop off some scrap metal that I had wasn't that much but I took a there because I did like all the employees and I was always treated fairly with you know and being paid a fair amount for what I scrapped there so today I was told by a worker that I would not be getting paid for my medal that I could donate it and apparently this is the only yard that's doing that right now and the response from this employee was that it was out of greed and if I could find another scrap yard to take my metal I would get paid for it and that employee was very helpful and did help me unload some things out of my vehicle as far as getting paid I didn't get anything I basically left my middle there because I already unloaded it and I am very upset at this so I feel a little cheated and a little confused as to why there were no employees that I recognized there and I didn't get paid for my scrap metal so I just feel a little bit cheated
I like their system and the recycle ♻️ worker at plastics weigh station is very nice, and helpful on info for what is recycleable. Easy access to center and office staff are friendly.
River city people is the lowest paying recycling yard around folks, and by the reviews I,be been reading folks are finding out the hard way. And believe me the management will never listen to your side of the story. Their answer from Brian and guy is if you don't like it then get the hell out. There is absolutely no loyalty to its customers.
Worst experience. As a small business owner . I would never recommended anybody here for anything . Always a ripoff. Got my trailer bumped by forklift and denied it then took 1400lbs of metal got like 14$ and took my aluminum cans had like 60lbs got 32$ . Worst ripoff ever should have just bent over hella disorganized.
